*Chapter 3: Snapped!*
Judy was startled by the sound of thunder, but she didn't want to rush in her father's room or her aunt's room, she wanted to face her fears of thunder sounds. The sheets were over her chin, her eyes were set at the window. She can see the shadows of the tree on the walls when lightning strikes. The shadows are creepy. Judy hid under the covers, shutting her eyes tight.
"It's only a storm. I shouldn't be scared of it." She says to herself. "You'll be okay. It's just a storm, and...it will be away in the morning." Judy rolled to her side, trying to get to sleep.
The door lock made a click sound, and it slowly opens. The little figure came in and shuts the door behind him. Chucky is in the building. He shook his head to get water off of his messy red hair. He slowly approach the stairs, trying not to make a sound to wake up Andy or anybody. He will just have to end this now. He picked the lock of the second door and slowly opened it. But, a light from the living room is one, but it's from the tv. Chucky hid in the shadows under the table. Kyle is on the couch with water, watching a late night show.
'Kyle...' Chucky thought. He remembered her from the foster home, and she killed him along with Andy. Speaking of which, Chucky saw Andy coming in.
"Kyle, what're you doing up so late?" He asked.
"The storm's too loud for me to sleep." Kyle replied. "I checked on Judy, and she is sleeping soundly in her bed. I surprised that she isn't afraid of the storm." Andy chuckled a little and sat next to her.
"She was, but she wanted to face it. For a 7 year old girl, she had some guts." He said. "Still...she needs a mother."
"She and Kristen are very close. Like two peas in a pod." Kyle said. "It's hard for kids to lose a parent. But, she still has you, me, Karen, and even Mike. All of us are a family together. Judy is not alone. And ever since you guys live here, she knows she has everyone who loves her very much, no matter how far away they are." Chucky listened to them talk before heading elsewhere to hide in. He wanted to know more about Andy's offspring. She could be either the first or last one to kill. He hears Andy sigh.
"When I shot Chucky weeks ago, I've never felt so strong and aware before." He said. "Judy is my only daughter, and I will do anything to protect her. I don't want her to know about that damn doll who ruined my childhood. I don't want Judy to be the same as me." Kyle patted his shoulder.
"He's gone now, and that's all that matters. We work together. And maybe you could bring your new 'friend' over for a date."
"...Mike told you about the cop girl, huh?" Andy asks. "Look, I think she's pretty, but...I'm not ready for finding a new wife or anything. Besides, I don't think Ellie likes me that way. We just met, that's all." Kyle laughed at him. The two continued to chat and watch tv, Chucky quietly sneak past them in the shadows, trying not to get caught by the tv light. He wandered down the dark hallway, passing Kyle's room, Andy's room, and there is Judy's room. Chucky smirked and opened the door quietly to get inside. But, somehow, Chucky couldn't go inside. It felt like a barrier was blocking him. Chucky tried to get in the room, but whatever is blocking him from doing so wouldn't let him.
"What the fuck?" Chucky hissed. "Why can't I go inside the girl's room?!" But, he realized something. God. Chucky's soul in the doll is full of atheism. He remembered saying that there is no God to Alice months ago and everyone will die. So now, Chucky couldn't go into a room full of God's prayer. Judy must've had a cross in her room somewhere, and she prays to God to be safe, and God had plans to keep her safe from evil. Smart kid.
'Shit. Can't get in Judy's room. Maybe the other rooms could be protected too. What the hell am I gonna do now? Wait?' Chucky thought. He found a laundry chute and climbed inside to get down to the basement to stay for the night.
"There's gotta be a way to break the prayer." Chucky mumbled. As he got out of the chute, he found collections of recent murders by Chucky. Andy collects old newspapers, photos, and more about Chucky. The doll walked over to the desk and climbed on the chair and got on the desk to look at the old newspaper of his original self as human, and normal Good Guy doll. "Andy catches on, doesn't he?" Chucky sneered. "No wonder he knew I was coming to him then. That son of a bitch shot me! But, I'm still alive, and will fucking kill him!" He then hears footsteps from above, and he fled from the desk to hide in the shadows. The door opened and Andy is coming down the stairs and turned on the light. But Kyle followed him, and saw the newspapers and photos on the walls.
"Does Mike know about this collection you got here?" She asked. Andy didn't say anything to her as he went over to the table and opened the toolbox and inside, there is a knife that Chucky had back in 1988. Chucky's eyes pop open as he saw his old voodoo knife. Andy had it for years. Kyle shook her head and went back upstairs to get back to the apartment. Chucky watched Andy put the knife back in the toolbox and put the lock on it. As soon as Andy left the basement, Chucky gritted his teeth.
"I thought I had lost that knife when Mike shot me at the apartment of Andy's when he was a kid!" He said. He turned to the toolbox and knew that Andy took the key up in the apartment. "I gotta have my knife back! The Barclays will have their blood on it." Chucky says. "They will kiss their lives goodbye!"
A boy with brown hair and brown eyes is sitting by the school building one morning. He is new in town and moved from the different city with his parents. He is wearing a light blue shirt with a dark gray sweater over it, blue jeans, and blue converse. The 9 year old looked up to see Judy coming up the stairs to get inside the school. He got up and went up to catch up with her for some help.
"Hey girl!" He called. Judy slowly turned, but her face changed to concerned. She never saw this boy around before. "This is my first day here, because I move here with my parents, so...could you tell me where Class 1D is?" The boy asked.
"That's where I'm heading now. You can just follow me." Judy said. "Since you're new, what's your name?"
"Marcus Kincaid." The boy replied.
"I'm Judy Barclay. Nice to meet you, Marcus." Judy stuck out her hand, Marcus smiled a bit and shake it with his. The two young kids smiled and went down the hallway together, talking. Seems like they are going to be friends.
Later at lunch period, Judy found Marcus by the tree with his sketchbook. She came over and sat by him, and noticed he is drawing a car. Before Judy could say something, a familiar chant from those kids were heard, Marcus looked up to see three kids there.
"Crazy Barclay! Crazy Barclay! Crazy Barclay!" They chanted with laughter. Judy gave them a dirty look. Marcus leaned over to Judy with confusion.
"What is going on?" He whispered. Judy didn't say anything to him as the bullies came around them.
"Hey new kid. Seems like you've met the Barclay. Did you know about her daddy's crazy story?" One boy asks.
"What story?" Marcus asks.
"Her daddy's a nut case! He used to have a Good Guy doll years ago, and he claims it to be a killer. A soul of Charles Lee Ray. But, he wants to be called 'Chucky'." The other boy said. Judy blushed a bit.
"And what does that have to do with Judy?" Marcus asked with a look. The kids looked at each other in silent. "Why do you have to make fun of her because of that? If that story was from years ago, then there's no reason why to mess with my new friend." Marcus said with a sneer. Judy was surprised that Marcus is actually standing up for her. Brave kid.
"The Barclays are crazy! That's why!" A third boy said. "Chucky is gonna get you!" Marcus shoved him away. Judy gasped and backed away a bit. The blonde haired boy got up and went behind his friends.
"What was that for?" A second boy said.
"I think you guys are the crazy ones!" Marcus said. "If I were you, I would leave Judy alone, and never bully anyone again!"
"Wow, we have the second crazy kid, but it's not a Barclay." A boy said with a smirk. "We're not scared of you, new kid. You will be scared of Chucky the Killer Doll. He will come and get you at night and steal your soul!" The boys are making scary noises and make a strange chant that Judy and Marcus couldn't pronounce. But Judy knew the words from them before.
"Ade Due Damballa! Give me the power I beg of you!" The boys chanted and ran off with laughter. "Chucky's gonna get you, Barclay and new kid!" Marcus sighed and picked up his sketchbook.
"You know what they're talking about? Who's Chucky?" He asked. Judy shrugged.
"I don't believe them, but...I don't even want to ask my dad." She said. "But, thanks for standing up for me. I couldn't even stand up for myself. I don't want to get in trouble."
"Hey, I don't want my friend to be bullied. If you get bullied by them, come to me." Marcus said with a smile. "From where I come from, I am tough enough to tell the kids off. But, I'm not a fighter." Judy sat on the grass to look at the cars passing by the school. "So, you don't really know who this 'Chucky' guy is, huh?" Marcus asked.
"No. It's just a legend about him, but I don't believe it. And...my dad couldn't be that kid either. I don't believe in those...urban legend stories." Judy said. "I have to be honest, it does sound scary to think about it." Marcus giggled a bit. Judy looked up at him. "What?"
"Sounds like one of those books from Goosebumps. You read those?" He asked. Judy shook her head. The bell rings, and the groans from the kids were heard. After Judy and Marcus are getting to the building, outside the fence hiding in the bushes is Chucky, looking though. He's been there watching from where the bullies came in. His story was now pretty big these days, and Judy is the prey around. She is the spawn of Andy after all, and people couldn't blame her.
"Poor little girl. Soon enough, she will be better off without punk ass kids." Chucky says with a smirk. "I have to get to her in some way."
