*Chapter 4: Sign of Hell*

Ellie drove by the church to stop by to visit her friend there. She got out of the car and walk up the steps to get inside the building. She smiled at the flowers that are in front of the sign by the sidewalk. Ellie walked down the hall and found a old woman there, who happens to be a nun on the altar. The nun is making mumbles under her breath, cupping her hands together, and opened her eyes.

"God protects the innocents." She says. Ellie sat down on the seat and look up at the cross surrounded by candle lights. Another woman came inside and spotted Ellie.

"Hey, you're here." She says. Ellie smiled and came to her. They hugged and left the altar, leaving the old nun to pray. Ellie sat in the office with a woman.

"What's the nun's deal out there?" She asked with a look. "I never see her around before."

"She comes to pray once in a while, but now often, she said there is evil among the certain family." The woman said, giving Ellie a cup of coffee. "I asked what family, but the lady didn't tell me anything. She prays, and prays, and prays." Ellie took a sip of her coffee.

"But, Lori, nuns aren't like that all the time." She said. "Unless this nun is crazy. God can't do everything." Lori shushed her as the door opened. The nun came inside with a frown on her face. She turned to Ellie, and left the office. Ellie slowly turned to Lori. "...That was weird." She whispered. Lori gulped a bit.

"She seems upset."

"Do you think we should go? Like talk outside?" Ellie suggested. Lori nodded, and the ladies left the office. But Ellie's radio fuzzed a bit and a male voice is heard. "Great. I have to get back to patrol now." She says. "Sorry, Lori."

"Hey, no problem. Next time, come here only you're not at work." Lori said with a giggle. Ellie left the building. Little did she know, a nun watched her from the window.

Judy came down to the shop, but found out that her father isn't behind the counter. Where could he be? Judy then noticed the door that leads down to the basement. When she opened the door, she looked down to see a light on below the stairs. Slowly walking down the steps, Judy saw the newspaper cuttings on the wall about the murders. She saw the headline about a doll that caused the murders.

"Hey. Wanna play?" A cute voice said, making Judy cry out in shock to see a stitched Good Guy doll sitting behind her on the chair. Judy felt her heart beat after the surprise, but she is afraid of this doll because of its looks. But, why is this doll down here?

"...Umm." Judy murmured by reaching her hand out to touch the red/orange hair.

"I liked to be hugged." The doll said in a cute voice again, making Judy pull her hand back. She studies it in silent. She noticed the label on the front pocket.

"Good Guys?" Judy wondered. "What's a Good Guy? A scary doll?" The doll spoke again.

"Hi. I'm Chucky. And I'm your friend til the end. Hidey ho! Ha ha ha!"

"...Chucky?" Judy asked. "Well...despite the scars and stitches, you're...kinda cute." She started to pick up Chucky and held him with a smile. "But, I wonder why you have those scars? Did somebody rip you apart or something?" She took Chucky back up to the store. Little did she know, Chucky formed an evil smirk on his face. Judy doesn't know who he is.

Judy brought Chucky in her room to set him on her bedside. She then took out a book that's filled with photos inside. She brought Chucky down to the floor next to her as she opened the book to show him the picture of her and Kristen together. Chucky slightly look down at the photo.

"This is me and my mom." Judy spoke. "She's in heaven with the angels and God. We were in the car accident, but...she didn't make it with me."

'Heh. Like Andy doesn't have a father when he was a kid. So, Judy no longer has a mommy. Kristen may not have been killed by me, but at least she is out of the picture.' Chucky thought. Judy turned the page to show him the photo of Ronald Tyler who is around his mid 30s. Chucky remembered him from Kent. What happened to him anyway? He heard Judy mentioning to Chucky that Ronald is in a military, but out of state.

"Ronald visits us once in a while. He's like an uncle to me. He and my daddy are very close friends along my mommy." Judy said. She turned the page and there is a photo of Andy, Kristen, and Judy together smiling. "This is one of my favorites, Chucky. My parents and me."

'Such a nice, happy family you got there, Andy. But, you will be facing a new fucking nightmare you will never forget.' Chucky thought. He noticed Judy getting up and grabbed a black camera, then sat next to him. She's going to take a picture of her and Chucky together, but the doll couldn't do anything to stop her.

"Smile, Chucky!" Judy giggled and pressed the button, and the light flashed. "Oh! My eyes!" Judy rubbed her eyes. "Too close to the camera." The photo came out of the camera, and Judy picked it up as the photo slowly forms. But, she noticed Chucky's eyes are narrowed to her. "Chucky, you didn't look at the camera. But, I guess this is okay. Maybe next time." She says, shrugging it off.

"Don't show that to daddy. Ha ha ha!" Chucky spoke in a doll voice, not revealing his real self. Judy looked at the doll with a strange look. Is that one of the sentences?

"...How come?" Judy asked. Chucky turned his head to her, acting innocent as a doll still.

"Keep this friendship a secret." He said in a cute voice.

"...But, why would-"

"Judy, what do you want for lunch?" Kyle called from the kitchen. Judy picked up Chucky, but he spoke again.

"Leave me here." He said in a doll voice. Judy was confused. Why is this doll acting like this? She places him on her bed and rushed out of the room. Chucky then sighed in relief. "Damn, that was a close call." He looked around the room. "Well, I think the way in this room is to have Judy with me. Maybe that broke the protection in here." He started to chuckle. "If Judy wants to be a good friend to me, she will be in for a very good treat."

Later that night, Kyle is reading Judy a bedtime story while Chucky is hiding in the closet listening. Of course, it's a Little Red Riding Hood story. And boy, Chucky remembered it well. But it did remind him about suffocating Alice's grandmother after Nica was put into the asylum. Chucky is a wolf, and Alice is Little Red.

"The woodsman rescues Little Red from the wolf, and opened the stomach to get Grandma out of the wolf. Grandma wasn't hurt, but she is frightened. Red Riding Hood was so happy to see her grandmother, and she learns to not to talk to strangers again. And they lived happily ever after. The end." Kyle read and closed the book.

"But, the wolf is dead, right?" Judy asked. "His stomach was cut open. He won't be living happily ever after." Kyle laughed a little at her niece.

"Well, bad guys never win in stories, Judy." She says. "But, this is just a fairy tale. Most stories like these have bad guys that never win. So, think of Little Red as a young heroine along with the woodsman to rescue the grandmother." Chucky rolled his eyes with a smirk. Kyle is wrong. Bad guys can win at certain times. Chucky won by cheating death 25 years ago.

"But, what about Satan? He's a bad guy and he takes the souls from people who die." Judy asked. Kyle stares at her in silent for a minute, but she cleared her throat.

"Judy, Hell is for bad people who live in this world. Not all people are, but some are. Most people here are good. You're one of the good girls out there, sweetie." She said. "Your mom has a good soul, and she went up to Heaven with the rest of the good souls." Judy sighed a bit. Kyle tucked her niece in and gave her a kiss on a forehead. "Good night, Judy. See you in a morning."

"Good night, Aunt Kyle." Judy replied. Kyle shuts off the lights and closed the door. After she is gone, Judy sat up and opened the closet door and brought Chucky out. "Sorry you have to wait in there for so long, Chucky. But, did you enjoy the story?" No reply. Judy shrugged and brought him over to her bed and embrace him. "Good night, Chucky." She gave the doll a kiss on the cheek. Chucky's eyes narrowed to her face to see her eyes closed.

'Andy's offspring is mine!' He thought evilly.
