*Chapter 5: Nightmare Returns*

Once Judy left the apartment building to head off to school, she secretly brought Chucky with her. She wanted to scare those kids who make fun of her and her father. In mind, Chucky didn't mind being forced to go to the school. Besides, he is going to help Judy to scare off those bullies, and maybe kill one of the teachers to have everyone's guard down. Just like he killed Andy's teacher years ago. This will be a fun day for the evil doll.

Judy walked in the school building, holding Chucky with one arm. Chucky saw the other kids running around the hallway, and some were staring at him in fear because of his scars. Yeah, they better be scared of him. They don't know what's coming to them. Judy saw some of the girls whispering to each other about the scarred Good Guy doll.

"Hey Judy!" Marcus called. Judy turned around. Marcus froze when he saw Chucky in Judy's arms. "Whoa. What is that thing? A doll or something?" Judy nodded at him with a smile.

"This is Chucky." She said. "Chucky, this is my friend, Marcus." Chucky turned his head towards Marcus, acting like a doll and use the cute voice.

"Hi, I'm Chucky. And I'm your friend til the end. Hidey ho! Ha ha ha!" He said. Marcus stares at the doll in suspicion.

"Why is he scarred up? Did something happen to him?" He asked, touching Chucky's stitches.

"I don't know. I found him in my dad's basement." Judy replied. Marcus took Chucky from Judy's arms. When the young boy looks into Chucky's eyes, he couldn't help but to think that something's not right about this doll. The eyes look too real.

"I don't know about you, but, this doll is freaky. How do you sleep at night?" Marcus asked. The doll blinked.

"I'm not as freaky as you think I am. Ha ha ha!" He said in a doll voice. Marcus quickly gave back Chucky to Judy in shock.

"How did it know what I said? Dolls like that don't know what you are saying." He asked by pointing at the doll. Judy explained to Marcus that Chucky is a type of Good Guy doll who talks to you back. A new and improved doll. The bell suddenly rings.

In the classroom, Judy hides Chucky in the closet behind the little chalk board. She was telling him to be in there until recess, but then, Marcus came over and stare at Chucky in disturbed. The teacher came in with a book. But, he is a substitute teacher since the actual teacher of this class, He has grayish brown hair on the sides since he is a bit bald on top, brown eyes, and wearing a white top with dark gray pants. He looks like he around mid 40s or early 50s, no one could tell for sure.

"All right, you guys. Take your seats, and let me call out your names to see if everyone is here." He says. He didn't sound happy about being here. Judy and Marcus left the closet and got in their seats to see their sub looking over the paper filled with names. "I'm Mr. Pesto. So, as you can tell, your teacher, Ms. Long, is sick today, and she won't be back until she gets better, so you all better on your best behavior for me for a day or two."

"You seen him before?" Marcus whispered beside Judy who replied by shaking her head.

"Okay, let me call out your names and all that. Now..." Mr. Pesto began to call out each name for those who are here or absent. Judy can see the closet doorknob slightly turn. Was someone else in there? The door was now slightly open, but no one was seen. Didn't she or Marcus close it all the way? Judy now had her eyes wide open to see a scarred eye through the crack of the door. "Judy?" Mr. Pesto called. But, Judy didn't reply as she focused on the closet door. "Judy Barclay?" Mr. Pesto called again. Marcus turned to his friend and touched her shoulder. Judy blinked and look up at the teacher who gave her a hard look.

"Huh?"

"Pay attention, young lady. I'm in no mood for a smart ass like you." Mr. Pesto said. The kids in the classroom gasped "Ooohs" at the comment. Judy blinked at him in shock. Now this teacher is a mean one.

"...Sorry." Judy replied quietly.

"You should be." The teacher muttered and went around the desk. Judy turned back to the closet door that is now closed. Now that was weird. The eye was there to watch, and it's gone when the door is now closed.

Outside, Judy and Marcus were about to get Chucky from the closet, but the teacher is inside the room looking over the paperwork. Before the two children could leave, Mr. Pesto spotted them. He opened the door, giving them a look.

"How can I help you, children?"

"Uhhh, we...forgot something." Marcus says, trying to sound casual. Mr. Pesto watched him and Judy in silent, but let them get inside the classroom. Judy felt eyes on her and Marcus, the teacher is like a hawk. Judy went over to the closet and opened it. Marcus remained behind to stall the teacher. When Judy is searching for Chucky, he's not around. Where is he?

"Looking for this ugly thing?" Mr. Pesto spoke as Judy came out. He held up Chucky by the overall straps. Judy bit her lip nervously. "Is this yours, Judy?"

"Uh. Yeah, sort of." Judy replied. "Let me have it." She reached her hands out, but Mr. Pesto placed Chucky on the desk to look at his face. "Mr. Pesto, please. I need Chucky to-"

"Chucky?" Mr. Pesto asked. "Huh. That's a retarded name for a doll. But, makes sense to me because of the scars and stitches."

"Hey! Don't call him that!" Judy says with a look of worry.

"Uh, Judy, can we go back outside now?" Marcus asked.

"Yes. Why don't you two back outside and play? You don't want to waste your time, do you?" Mr. Pesto asked. "Don't worry, Chucky will be fine here with me." Judy didn't say anything back to him. "Go outside, or else you will be on my shit list of detention." Mr. Pesto says with a pulled Judy along to leave the classroom. Mr. Pesto went around the desk to get back to check on the paperwork as Chucky's back was on him. After a few seconds, the doll fell over, making the teacher startle. He walked over to pick up the doll, but Chucky isn't there. Like he disappeared. He looked around the desk, and Chucky is nowhere to be found.

"Hey, wanna play?" A voice asked, making Mr. Pesto cry out. Chucky is sitting on the desk. How did he get there?

"Shit. Scared the hell out of me." The teacher says by feeling his heartbeat. But then, Chucky's innocent expression changed when he formed an evil smirk.

"You fucking should be scared." He says. Mr. Pesto's eyes grew wide. Before he could react, Chucky took out a red yo-yo and wrap the string around the teacher's neck, strangling him. Mr. Pesto choked a but, trying to gasp for air. The doll continues to pull the string, seeing his victim's face turning purple. "You shouldn't treat the kids like crap, you dick. That's my job!" Chucky growled. Mr. Pesto tried to reach for the doll, but he couldn't find him from behind. He felt his throat getting tighter and tighter. No air coming to him. After seconds, the teacher drops dead on the floor as Chucky lets go of the yo-yo.

'Ahh, good times of strangling victims who are shit like this guy. Some sub he is.' Chucky thought. He jumped off of the desk and climbed on the drawers to look out the window to see the kids playing, and spotted Judy and Marcus together talking.

"That boy looks familiar to me somehow. What does he look like to me? Someone I knew from before had a kid like him?" Chucky wondered. "Perhaps my dear Judy will tell me his last name if she knew it." The bell now rang. Recess is over. Now it's class time. Chucky will have to hide. He quickly ran inside the closet and shut the door halfway to see the door of the room open to see some random kids coming in. But then, Chucky realized the dead body. "Shit! I forgot the damn body!" Chucky hissed. Judy and Marcus pushed through the confused kids to see Mr. Pesto's body laying there, motionless.

"Is he okay?" One girl asked. Marcus came over to the body, and poked it with his finger. Nothing. Judy also noticed the line marks on Mr. Pesto's throat and a yo-yo on the floor next to him. She turned to the closet door that is halfway open, and Chucky is sitting in there, innocent like he's been in there. She is unaware that he's been moving and caused the murder. Judy looked back at the dead body in silent and fear. What had happen to Mr. Pesto during recess? Surely, he couldn't kill himself.

"Mr. Pesto, I just want to-" A woman with curly blonde hair came in with papers, and froze when she saw the dead body where the kids are around him. "Oh my god! What the-?! What happened?!" She screamed. "I'm calling the ambulance!" She took out her cell phone and dial the number. Judy walked in the closet and picked up Chucky.

"Chucky, what happened?" She asked. But, doll didn't say a word. He narrowed his eyes over the dead body. He is laughing at himself in his mind.

Andy placed a rifle in the box for his costumer while the radio is playing "Mr. Sandman" by Dickie Valentine. The phone rings and Andy answered it as the costumer left with a rifle.

"Hello, Andy's Gun Shop. How can I help you?" He says.

"Hello, is this Andy Barclay?" A female voice asked from the line.

"Yes, this is he."

"I'm the vice principle of your daughter's school. There's been a murder in her classroom since recess." The woman on the line said, making Andy frown. Murder? The vice principle requested Andy to come to school to pick up Judy from there, but he had to talk to the vice principle first. After Andy hung up the phone, he grabbed his coat and head out the doors and turn the sign to closed for now. As he got in his car, he called Kyle to tell her that he will be out for a while and ask her to watch the store.

"Thank you for coming, Mr. Barclay." The woman, a vice principle said by shaking Andy's hand. "Please, sit down." They are in the office while Judy is in the cafeteria with the other kids that need to be picked up as well. Every parent needs to be known about the murder and safety of the children.

"Thank you for calling me." Andy says. "Is Judy alright?"

"Of course, she's fine. The children here are fine. None of them are hurt." The woman said by nodding. "As I told you before, there's been a murder during recess, and it's a good thing the kids aren't around the building. A substitute teacher, Mr. Pesto, was strangled to death by a yo-yo." Andy stares at her in silent. That word, strangled, really reminded Andy of...of... He shook his head, trying not to think about him. It couldn't be him. He's dead.

"Did the police come?" Andy asked.

"Yes. They're bringing the yo-yo to the station, for fingerprints. So, on the safe side, we have to close the school for a few days until then." The woman replied. "Who knows? The murderer could kill the children too."

"You're right. The children in this school need to be safe from this murderer, and Judy is 100% safe with me and my foster sister. I do own a gun shop, and we have a friend who is a detective."

"That's good. Now, I will call Judy to come in here, and you two will be on the way." The woman picked up the phone to be on speaker throughout the school. "Judy Barclay, come to the office. Judy Barclay." She hung up. She faced Andy again. "Before I forget, there is one thing about Judy."

"What is it?" Andy asked in worry.

"Well, when she arrived this morning, but she brought a strange doll." The woman replied. Andy shot his head up.

"What doll?!"

"It's a Good Guy doll, but it had scars and stitches on its face." The woman replied, moving her hands over her face, describing what the doll looks like. "I don't know why a little girl like her would want a doll that ugly and creepy. Did you by any chance gave her the doll?" Andy cursed and got up from his seat and left the office in a hurry. "Mr. Barclay?"

Andy rushed down the hallways to find his daughter. He couldn't believe it. Chucky is alive and have Judy as his "friend". Andy called out his daughter's name, hearing his echo, but no reply. Yet, there's sounds of footsteps, making Andy turn around.

"Judy, is that you?" He asked. He found the door of the health office. Andy opened the door and turned on the light. The office isn't big, but there are two rooms with beds. "Judy?" Andy called. "You in here?" He slowly walked in the room where the bed is. Nothing. Someone grabbed his wrist, making him turn in shock and realized it's only Judy. "Judy! Oh thank god!" He bent down and embraced her. "I'm so worried about you! Are you hurt?"

"No. I just went to the bathroom." Judy said in a calm tone. "The sub teacher died today, dad."

"I know, I've heard. That's why I'm taking you home and-" Andy looked around, holding Judy's hand. "Where's Chucky?" Judy's eyes grew wide. Andy noticed this. She knew Chucky. For how long? "Judy, tell me right now! Where is he?"

"I don't know." Judy replied in a quiet voice. "He's gone. I left him in the room, and I check to see him, but he's gone." Andy stared at her in silent. He took her hand lead her out of the health office. Chucky can be anywhere in this building, waiting. Andy had to keep his daughter away from Chucky, keep her safe at all costs.

"We're going to have a serious talk when we get home. There's something you don't know about Chucky." Andy said to Judy who was dragged in a hurry. They walk out the doors to get in the car. After Judy got in the car, Andy looked back at the school with a look in his eyes. "He's not going to take away my little girl."
