*Chapter 12: Revenge is Sweet*
Judy was asleep in the car since Karen and Kyle are driving to town to find Andy and the rest of their friends. Chucky can be anywhere, and Judy needs to be far away from him as possible. Karen turned back to see her granddaughter sleeping in peace.
"She can't be here." She said. "She needs to be out of this town. Away from that doll."
"Where are we gonna go to take her? Chucky can still find her." Kyle said as she drives. "Judy and Andy are the main targets, so they have to be together on this one to leave this city."
"But, Andy is my son, and he needs help. Judy can't be here." Karen said. "We have to be with Andy alone on this one, and Judy needs to be away from here. Until this shit is all over, Judy will come back to us." Kyle didn't say anything. Karen might be right. Judy is in danger, and she has to be away from here for a while. But, where is she gonna go? It had to be someplace where Chucky will never find her.
"We'll talk about it when morning comes. We need to find Andy first." Kyle said. Then her cellphone start to ring. She answered it, but put it on speaker. "Hello? Andy?"
"Kyle? Thank god, you're okay. You found Judy? Please say that you do." Andy's voice said on the line.
"Yes, we have her now." Kyle said. "Where are you and the others? Are you guys okay?"
"We're all fine. But, you have to meet us back at my place. We have people who knows Chucky as well. Especially three people..." Andy said on the line. His voice sounds uneasy. Karen made a worry look on her face when she hears him. More victims? How many people did Chucky try to kill as a doll? "Be here safe and sound. Let Judy know I'm okay."
"Sure. See you in a few, Andy." Kyle said. She hung up and put her phone away. "God, feels like we're at war here."
"But, Chucky needs to be stopped. There could be more people out there who are tormented by him. He's inside the doll for...years!" Karen said. "And we have to talk to Andy about Judy. She can't be here for a while, because Chucky will never stop tracking her."
"Yeah." Kyle said. "We'll...figure something out." They heard a groan in the back seat. Karen turned back to see Judy rolling on her back, her eyes shut tight. She rub them and open her eyes to see her grandmother watching.
"...Are we home yet?" She asked.
"Almost, hon." Karen replied.
"Go back to sleep, Judy." Kyle said. "We'll wake you when we're home." Judy sat up.
"Is Chucky still behind us?"
"No." Kyle said in a calm tone. "We lost him."
"...He killed Mike and..." Judy stopped as tears are forming.
"Shh." Karen says. Judy rests back, staring up at the car ceiling, tears falling. "Go to sleep, Judy." Karen told her. "We're going to be okay. You'll be safe from the doll."
Tiffany lights her cigarette outside the building of Andy's Gun Shop with the detective and Andy. Andy was told by Tiffany that this detective is Preston. He witnesses Jade and Jesse killing off Chucky in his tomb, and he sees Tiffany giving birth to Glen as a doll. A car pulled up the driveway, Kyle, Karen, and Judy got out of the car to get inside the store. Judy ran up to Andy to embrace him. Tiffany watches the two.
"Aww, this is your daughter?" She asked, kneeling down to Judy's height. Judy went behind her father. "It's okay sweetface. I won't hurt you."
"Judy." Andy said to his shy daughter. "This is Tiffany. She's going to help us. And so will the kids of hers." Judy came out to see Glen and Glenda standing behind Tiffany. Glen gave her a smile, but Glenda didn't make a friendly face at Judy. "Judy, I'll take you upstairs to the apartment. You're safe now." Andy said.
"What are you going to do?" Judy asked. "And where's Marcus?"
"Marcus and his parents are fine. They went back to their house for now. I will look out for Chucky. He will not get to you again. As long as we're down here, he won't come after you." Andy replied. He took his daughter up to the building. Tiffany smiled at the sight.
"Such a cute little thing." She said. "I won't let Chucky get his hands on her. Judy is too sweet and innocent."
"So, how do you know about Chucky, Tiffany?" Karen asked with a look. Tiffany let out a sigh.
"For a long time before he becomes a doll." She said. "Looks like I will tell you all everything when Andy comes back down."
After Andy left his daughter in bed, Judy was under the covers, thinking back what just happened back at Ruby's place. Mike was killed. Ruby better be alive back there. Chucky will pay for everything. Judy remembered the spell that Damballa will give her. Only to protect her from Chucky. So, Judy will be fine. Still, she is scared.
"I have to be brave." She said. "I can't be scared of Chucky. He won't get me. I run away from him. I will face him with no fear." With that, Judy got out of bed and left her room. She walked in her father's bedroom and look through his drawers. She found a handgun that is loaded, but the safety is on. She took the gun with a determined look on her face. "I'm armed. Chucky won't come to me as long as I have my dad's gun." She went back to her room with a gun. She puts the weapon in her drawer next to her bed. Judy let out a sigh and went in her bed. She's ready.
"Okay. That explains everything." Andy said after Tiffany told him and the others the whole story. "Chucky is now your ex-husband, and he still wants you to send him to different places to have revenge on victims. So, the recent victim he almost got was Alice."
"A young woman in a wheelchair is Nica, was put to the mental hospital because no one believe her story." Tiffany said. Karen crossed her arms uncomfortably, remembering when she stayed in the hospital for 15 years. Now Nica was put to the asylum. "Chucky never gets caught of being alive."
"No one believes us. But, they will believe proof." Andy said. "He's stuck inside the doll for a long time. That means he could leave fingerprints."
"Of course!" Ellie spoke. "Anyone will believe the prints that belong to Charles Lee Ray."
"Yeah. I remember from the radio that my light had Chucky's fingerprints on it." Tiffany said. "That's why one of the guys dug his coffin to make sure he is dead."
"How do we gonna catch the doll?" Ellie asked. Andy went down to the basement door to get something he kept for years. He came back up with a box and unlock the lock. Inside was a voodoo that Chucky had when he first tried to possess Andy. Preston looks inside.
"His knife?" He wondered.
"We will have to get him to touch this. If he comes here, I will set it on the floor next to the basement door." Andy said by throwing the knife at the door. "We will catch that son of a bitch. He wants revenge, he will face me. He won't touch my kid."
