*Chapter 13: Never Let Your Guard Down*
Ellie was in the shop, guarding the area if Chucky ever comes in to see his voodoo knife. Tiffany and her kids are staying in the motel that's not far. Kyle, Karen and Andy are upstairs in the apartment in the living room with the tv on while Judy is sleeping in her room. Andy tries to stay awake at this point, same as Kyle, but Karen is asleep. Andy looks at the picture of him and his wife holding baby Judy in the frame. He remembered that day when his daughter was born. He was a bit scared of being a dad, but since that day of Judy's birth, Andy felt happy and proud to be a father to her. Now to this day of being a single parent, he's gonna destroy Chucky for good this time, and his family and the others will be safe again. Chucky has gone far this time.
'This will end tonight.' Andy thought.
Judy woke up after sleeping for 20 minutes, she walked in the bathroom to get a drink of water until she heard a voice in Kyle's room. Judy cautiously walked inside and see a figure. Bigger than Chucky. It's a person. Judy turned on the light and there is Glen, turning around in fright, but let out a sigh of relief.
"Glen...?" Judy wondered. "What're you doing here? I thought you're with your mom and sister."
"How could I sleep while my dad is coming for you all for revenge?" Glen asked. "Sorry that I alarm you, but...I want to stay and help. My dad would never hurt me."
"He can hurt anyone." Judy told him. "He wants to kill me, but he won't as long as I have my dad and the others who are here." Glen puts his hands in his pockets. They sat on the bed. Judy then remembered Damballa's message from church. She told Glen about finding a voodoo book to reverse the spell, but it's at the old apartment where Chucky used to live when he's human. The only thing is that Judy doesn't know where the apartment is. Glen was about to speak until he and Judy heard the door from the living room. Someone's in here.
"Oh no..." Glen whispered. Judy got up and see that Andy was the one who is by the front door. He is locking it. She let out a sigh and went back to Glen.
"It's okay. It's just my dad." She said. Glen let out a sigh. "He's gonna stay up all night."
"What about you? Shouldn't you be asleep? I can stay in your room for a look out." Glen said. Judy shrugged and took the boy to her room. Glen sat on the chair next to the door as Judy got under the covers. Glen crosses his arms and watch the hallway in silent.
Ellie sat behind the desk, looking at her phone, seeing how very late it was. She hears the door open across from her. But, there was no one there. Ellie got her gun, slowly walking around the stands to face the front door that closes. She made sure she looks around the floors. Was Chucky inside the shop? Before she could turn around, she felt something sharp on her leg, making her fall to the floor. Ellie leans against the glass wall, grabbing her leg where it bleeds. She looked up to see Chucky holding a knife, dripping blood. He smirked at her.
"Nice knowing you, bitch." Chucky said. He launches the knife to Ellie's forehead. Her eyes crossed upwards and fell on the floor. Blood pours out of the forehead. Chucky chuckled at the sight. "Too easy. I'd rather have fun with more people around. They could be up in the apartment somewhere." Before he could leave the shop, he sees the door that leads to Andy's basement. He remembered something that Andy had a voodoo knife. Chucky got the door open and slowly made his way downstairs. Suddenly, he stepped on something. He backed away from whatever he stepped on. He climbed on the table and had the light on. There is a bear trap.
'Think that Andy can trap me? He has to think again!' Chucky thought. He sees a knife by the bear trap. He was about to approach it until a voice is heard. Chucky looked up and see Tiffany there with a knife in one hand. She glares at the killer doll.
"Tiff?"
"I knew you'd be here." Tiffany said. "Time's up, sweetface."
"So I didn't kill Andy and his kid in time, big deal." Chucky said, rolling his eyes.
"Actually, killing them won't solve anything. I've helped you long enough." Tiffany said. "You killed a few family members, but that little girl lived, and that wheelchair is in the asylum. You're letting them live."
"I'll get them after the fucking Barclays!" Chucky snapped. "I want to get that brat, but I can't walk in her room since she is safe from God. I know it was Damballa. She knows too much." He spotted something in Tiffany's other hand. A spell book. Chucky knows exactly what's inside the book. He glared at his ex-wife. "You wouldn't dare!"
"Oh, I would." Tiffany said. She took a step, holding the door. "Be comfortable down there, asshole." She shuts the door and locked the door. She can hear Chucky screaming in the basement.
"You fucking bitch! You traitor!" He screamed. "I'll get you!"
Tiffany went up to the apartment, knocking on the door. Andy opened it, and Tiffany told him that she locked Chucky in the basement, and she hands him the spell book. Andy took the book and rush down the stairs as Kyle and Karen followed him. Glen and Judy overheard them. The red haired boy turned to Judy.
"I have to get back to the hotel now. I don't want my mom to think I have run away." He said.
"You should. Since Chucky's being taken care of, I'll be okay by myself." Judy said. Glen rush out of the apartment. Judy smiled a bit and about to return to the bedroom until the lights in the whole apartment went out, and Chucky's laughter was heard. Judy let out a scream. He's found her.
