A/N: another sequel to my Noblesse fan fic 'Lionheart'. Just like the previous ones, this story was inspired by a song called "No Matter What" by BoyZone. (One of my all time favorite 'not so old but gold'! Heehee~)

No Matter What

The sun was setting down when the three enhanced humans got home from their duty at the Yeh Ran high school.
Tao, Takeo and M21 went into their room upstairs to change clothes and prepare for dinner. It didn't take long to change their outfits plus Tao decided to check the surveillance monitors later after dinner.
He walked out of his room, so as his comrades. The techno-geek mumbled some lyrics of a song and he know that he just heard Takeo humming and M21 whistling the same song.
Tao slowly turned his gaze at Takeo then onto M21 with his eyes wide open to his surprise.
"Oh my god! We're singing the same song!" Tao exclaimed and wore his widest grin.
"No, we're not." M21 replied abruptly.
"Yeah, we are! Don't deny it! I have a good sense of hearing, ya know?" Tao defended.
"Wanna go for a Karaoke? Hm?" He cheerfully asked.
M21 ignored the question and started walking ahead of them with his hands in his pocket. The two followed him and Tao suddenly swung his arm over M21's shoulder.
"Ugh! What the- I'm not going!" M21 protested.
"Come on, you always say that. Just this once, I'm in the mood of singing too." Takeo said with a smile.
Fine... Whatever...
The werewolf-hearted let out a sigh. He didn't have any more choice... 'Majority wins', that was a rule that Tao implemented between the three of them for a year and half now and no one haven't complained about it, yet.
The three enhanced humans walked past into the living area and found the Noblesse surrounded by the human children. They were doing their group project this time so they are not yet allowed to play their boardgame. Tao waved a hand at them and wished them luck then continued to walk towards their destination downstairs together with his comrades.
Right after the elevator door opened, the techno-geek dashed into the Karaoke room as if he was a child that was freed from detention. He was also the one who selected the song.
"'No Matter What' by BoyZone? That wasn't what I'm singing." M21 said as he and Takeo walked into the room.
"Shusshhhh! I know this was it. You think you can escape from singing with us? Na~ ahh~" Tao replied and handed him one microphone.
Then again, M21 didn't win and Takeo could only give him a little smile of sympathy. The music started to play and the lyrics are ready to flash.
Tao took the first few stanza's then Takeo and M21. It was good that they know their turns even if no one says it and they're all doing well, so far. When the notes goes high, they sing in duets and from time to time, they sing as one.
With Tao's 'slightly pitched' voice that matches his personality mixed with Takeo's 'shy-and-nice-guy' and M21's 'cold but friendly' voices, they just created a perfect harmony. They were always a perfect harmony.
Tao had never done this before in his DA-5 days, their 'happy moments' was just when they accomplished their killing missions which is not really to be happy about.
This time, Tao thought that this day was precious. If only he could do this throughout his entire life.
M21:

The song ended and the trio returned the used microphones in its proper places. Suddenly, Tao clapped his hands loudly and cried in happiness.
"Oh my god! I'm so proud of you, guys! I swear, we could be a great recording artists! Yeh Ran High's recording artists! Hahaha!" Tao happily exclaimed as he wiped his tear.
"There he goes again... cries over little things..." Takeo said, crossing his hands on the back of his head and starts to walk away.
"Heh... What a crybaby." M21 added wearing his taunting smirk.
But the truth was they just said it so they can hide the faint blush on their cheeks. Of course, they may not admit it but they are proud of Tao too.
"No, I'm not! But seriously though..." The techno-geek replied, following his comrades out of the Karaoke room.
"Haaaah... alright, we get it. It's dinner time. Come on, let's go." Takeo said.
The techno-geek replied his widest grin. Wait until Tao uploads their mini-concert on his blog from the record of the CCTV cameras.
"Yeah, that grin kinda reminds me of something, don't even think of uploading it on your blog, Tao." M21 said.
"What?! Of course, not! Why would I do that? Your secret is safe with me guys, don't worry!" Tao replied with confidence as he dug his hand into his pocket.
"Wait, lemme check my phone. Oh, right! It's already 7! It's dinner time aaaaaaaand~ sent!" He continued and ran away.
M21 was right. He really knew Tao's smile, that was the smile that always reveals their secrets on Tao's blog. Because in just few minutes, right after Tao held his phone, M21 and Takeo's phone received a tagged notification.

"What the- urrrrrggghhhhh! Taaaaaoooo! Yooouuuuuu! You're dead!" M21 and Takeo exclaimed angrily and started to chase Tao.
A/N: Thank you so much for reading! I really had fun writing this, I was squealing, flailing and grinning the whole time while listening to the song (No Matter What) that I played on loop. I chose this song because they were all I could think of whenever I listen to it. And about Tao's username on his blog, the XKDHTKFKD, I got it from the comments on Chapter 334 on Line Webtoon. Some people explained that it means "love Tao" when it's written in Korean keyboard, heehee!~ yeah, I love Tao.
