Hello Lovely Liley readers

The next day came quickly and before anyone was the wised they were in there second period class, one of the few classes witch the trio all shared. "Alright, class," Mrs. Temple, a fiery English teacher with red hair to match, spoke, "I have a challenge for you and the winner gets to free tickets to the Lack Wood Carnival this weekend." Some kids sat a little starter, now giving Mrs. Temple there full attention.

"What's so important about this carnival?" Miley asked in a whisper to Oliver, who sat in front of her.

"It's one of the biggest thing at this school, hell this town, everyone goes," Oliver explained, "Me and Lilly haven't missed one." At that last comment, Miley too started to listen more to Mrs. Temple's intrusions. Wouldn't it be great if I won those tickets for Lilly and I?

"Now, that I got everyone's attention I'll explain our computation," Mrs. Temple stared, sitting down at the corner of her desk," each of you are going to have twenty minutes to write a short story and whoever has the best and with the most details wins." There was a lot of talk over the challenges rules. Miley had no idea how she was going to write a good short story in twenty minutes, let alone a winning one. She looked over to Lilly, who sat in the front rows far left.

"Now students," Mrs. Temple shouted, "get out a piece of paper and a pen well start soon." The rustling of paper and clicking of pens filled the air. "Ready, set, writes!" As every started to scratch out stories Miley sat there no ideas coming to her head. Out of nothing else to do she wrote her name at the top of the paper and started to think. Why is it that writing a hit song is so simpler to do then writing a little short story? When the teacher called that time was up Miley only had her name on the paper and the word 'the'.

Mrs. Temple started to call up names to read their story. Some of them were about being late to school or shopping, but they weren't really good. The better ones were stories about love, but they were nothing to brag about. One boy, Billy Johnson wrote a story with so much smut he was sent to the principal's office. Oliver wrote a pretty good story of two frogs, but he was called out on copy wrighting from a children's book. When it was Mileys tune she had to sadly inform her, she had nothing on her paper. Not believing it Mrs. Temple came over to see, but seeing the three words on Mileys paper she was forced to. Finally, it was Lilly's turn.

"Lilly, can you hand me your story for I can read it to the class?" Mrs. Temple asked. With a nod Lilly handed her note book over. "Alright then, let's begin," Mrs. Temple said, and then she started to read, "The Brocken Man. A striking witch, twisted and commanding, perched of her thrown, watching unblinkingly, as her soldiers marched by. You could hear each step of the soldier's boots as they stomped on the cool marble floor. After five more minutes of this, they all froze and turned to look at the witch. The witch, a pale mistress with eyes red like blood, smiled at the crowded of men before her. Eyes blazing, lips twitching, she razed from her seat and glided over to the highest ranking man in her army. Gripping the top of his chain mill, the witch pulled him above her head, with her inhuman strength. Heats pounding, lips sealed shut, the other men stood in silence as one of their best leaders was being humiliated, grouping around his neck, trying to breath.

"Why do you think I'm angry?" the witch asked, cocking an eyebrow and striking the soldier in his abdomen. The lead soldier, red in face and gasping for air, chocked out a gibberish sounding answer. "Try again," the witch demanded, nostrils flaring. However, no words or sound came out of his mouth; the soldier had passed out from lack of air. Screaming in rage, the witch threw unconscious soldier across the throne room. He hit the cobble stone walk with a heart stopping crack. A few soldiers gasped at the sight of their injured leader, crumpled and Brocken."

When the story was over everyone turned to look at Lilly, her head was looking down at her desk, blushing. "Well, I can honestly say that Lilly has deserved these," Mrs. Temple said walking over to the mute girl, envelope on top of the note book, "Here you go, Lilly, wonderful and detailed story." She slides the book and envelope on Lilly's desk. Lilly looked up and smiled in thanks, then the bell rang and everlyone headed out of class. Lilly caught up with her girl friend and best friend and handed Miley the envelope.

"Why are-" But she was cut off by a note book being held in fount of her face. Will you go with me? Smiling, Miley put a hand over Lilly's shoulder and gave her a big kiss on the cheek.

"Does that answer it for you," Miley said in a whisper. Lilly blushed a little and smiled.

"What about me?" Oliver asked, cocking an eye brow at his two best friends. Girl friend trumps best friend when it comes to carnivals, sorry. Lilly wrote.

"It's okay, but let's get a move on." Olive said giving Lilly a little push.

Yay date number three… Who do you think Oliver should be with? Review and tell me.
