Chapter 49: Never Sleep In The Same Room As Brats!

"Naru-chan, I can't sleep!"

"..."

"Naruto! I know you're awake!"

"..."

"Na-"

"Oi, brat! It's been a week since I joined your guild - this past week you haven't let me sleep! Oi, go home! I don't need you to be here!" Naruto interrupted Mavis, who wasn't letting him sleep.

"But then you'll be all alone if I just leave you here alone sleeping on the second floor of the guild, so I decided I will keep you company!" Mavis told the blonde. It was too dark to see, but if he could see her, he knew he'd see a smile on her face.

"..." The blonde stayed silent, no doubt - she had a heart of gold.

"Naruto?"

"..." The blonde tried to ignore her, he figured if he treated her like a scab, she's go away on her own. But, if Mavis was a scab, she'd be one hell of a scab that wouldn't ever go away!

"Naruuuutooo?!"

"..." Ignore her! She will go away! Pretend you fell asleep! Yes! That is my best weapon against annoying little brats - that don't sleep!" the blonde thought, as he kept ignoring her.

"Don't ignore me, jerk!"

"Oi, what is it?!" He sighed, giving in. He knew if he didn't treat the 'scab' it was bound to never go away - and that it would never let him sleep.

"I-I need to go to the bathroom..." She whispered with shyness.

"Then go?!" The blonde told her, clearly not know what the big deal was.

"I-I can't.." She whispered once again.

"Oi, why is that?!" Naruto questioned her.

"Um.. I-I'm...uh.. Don't laugh..." Mavis sounded embarrassed.

The blonde cocked an eyebrow in the darkness, "I promise I won't laugh!"

"Um.. I-I'm scared of going to the b-bathroom alone!" She said it really quick.

Naruto blinked, while he found a smirk make away into his lips, before he started laughing, "Hahahahaha! Wait - you? Fairy Tail's guild Master is scared of going to the bathroom in her own guild? Hahahaha!"

If Naruto could see through the darkness, he'd see her glaring at him, but that didn't mean he couldn't feel her intense glare, "Jerk! You promised not to laugh!"

"Oi, promises are meant to be broken!" Naruto told her casually, "It's in the job description for being a man!"

"You're not a man, you're a liar!"

"Oi, all men are lying pigs, so don't trust us!"

"I really, really, really have to pee!" Mavis just said.

"Go to the bathroom!"

"I told you, I"m scared!"

"Oi, overcoming your fears makes you stronger - so go to the bathroom and never come back!"

Mavis's eyebrows twitched at this before she asked, "Come with me?!"

"In your dreams, do what normal kids your age do and pee your bed!"

"Normal kids don't do that!"

"Luckily, you're not normal then - normal kids aren't guild Masters at fourteen!"

"Pleeeasee come with me Naru-chan?!" Mavis pleaded the blonde.

Naruto stayed silent, he would go back to ignoring the young blonde, but she kept bothering him, "It's going to smell like pee in here if you don't go to the bathroom with me!"

Naruto sighed, "Oi, you aren't going to leave me alone, are you?!"

"No, I'm not!" Mavis smiled through the darkness.

The blonde got up, while he spoke, "Fine, I'll take you to the bathroom - so hurry up and lets go!"

"Thank you, Naruto-chan!" Mavis got up, and ran up towards him, hugging him.

The blonde ran his hand through his blonde hair, "Yeah, Yeah, brat - just hurry up and let's go!" The blonde girl nodded, while she let go of the blonde. They walked out of the room they were in, to see pure and complete darkness outside the room.

"O-Oi, what is this? It's so dark?!"

Mavis nodded, "That's why its so scary! What If a monster pops up and drags me to hell?!"

The blonde blinked and was about to speak, when they both heard a sound down by the stairs of the guild, causing both to freeze! It was a scary sound that made them jump back as well.

"M-Mavis - t-tell me your stomach just made that noise?!" Naruto stuttered.

"T-That wasn't me!"

"W-Well... Tell me you farted then!"

"Women don't fart!"

"W-What was that then?!" Naruto asked her.

"I-I don't know!" Mavis replied quickly to which the blonde gulped. Now he knew why she was scared to go the bathroom alone!

"Err... Want to hold my hand? Y-You know.. To not be s-scared?!" The blonde suddenly asked her.

Mavis couldn't help but smirk under such circumstances, "Don't tell me you're scared?! That you want to hold my hand so badly?!"

"Oi! Of course not! I was just looking out for your safety and fears!" Naruto snapped at her. "But if you don't want to then let's go!" The blonde said, "So err.. Go ahead and walk first, I'll follow!"

"Hey! Why do I have to go and walk first?!"

"Ladies first, remember?!"

"Funny, I didn't think you were the gentlemen kind!"

"Don't judge a manga by it's cover!"

"You go first!"

"I-I don't know where the bathroom is, brat!"

Mavis stayed silent - the blonde decided to stay silent as well, and then within seconds he heard the sound of water hitting the floor, and his eyes widened at this.

"Er.. I don't have to use the bathroom anymore..." Mavis whispered in embarrassment.

"Oi - don't tell me y-you just peed?!"

"... I had no choice, jerk!"

"Oi, that is so unlady like!" Naruto told her, "Your innocent and cute lady-like image has been ruined - Oi, no manga character has ever done that too!"

Mavis just spoke, "Tell this to anyone and you won't live to see tomorrow, Kay?" She said it in a sweet tone - yet the blonde could sense the poison behind it.

"Oi, you can't threaten -"

"Got it?" She interrupted him, her voice Ice-cold.

"A-Aye!" The blonde just nodded, as they walked back into the room they were sleeping in. The blonde walked over the bed he was sleeping in, and laid down. Mavis walked to her bed which was the bed next to the blonde, and laid down too.

"..." Silence. The blonde was grateful for this, now he could sleep in peace! He closed his eyes, while breathing calmly. This went on for a few minutes, before the silence was broken by Mavis once again.

"Naruto?"

"..." Damn brat! I'm trying to sleep! Can't you read the mood?! Please go to sleep! I'll give you 100 jewels!" The blonde thought, as he ignored her.

"I know you're awake!"

"W-What do you want?!"

"Is it tomorrow, yet?" She only asked.

Naruto's right eyebrow twitched while he replied, "I don't know! Let me check the invisible watch on my wrist!" The blonde looked at his wrist before continuing, "Oh, yes! Its tomorrow, already! So wakey wakey go make some eggs and bakey!" he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm!

"You don't have to be sarcastic, jerk!" Mavis told the blonde.

"Me? Sarcastic?! NEVER!" Naruto said sarcastically, once again.

"You're such a meanie and a jerk!"

"Oi, I don't know how you came up with that shitty conclusion - but I am the nicest guy ever!"

"Shuddup! I'm not talking to you anymore, bleached blonde!"

"Good! Now sleep!"

"..." It stayed silent after that, the blonde was smirking as he drifted to sleep, finally he could get some sleep and quiet.

"Naruto?!" He heard Mavis call him once again, after a few minutes of silence.

Naruto... Calm down! Don't do anything stupid - like kill her! This brat is pissing me off! The blonde thought before he asked, "What is it now?!"

"I can't sleep on this bed... Its too uncomfortable!"

"What do you want me to do about it, your highness?" He rolled his eyes.

"Can we switch beds?!"

"Fuck that! There are more beds in the room - switch to one of those?"

"Those are going to be cold.. Switch with me?!"

"Go to sleep?!"

"Not until we switch beds!"

The blonde growled, "If we switch - you will go to sleep?!"

Mavis nodded, "I promise!"

"Fine!" The blonde got out of his bed, while Mavis got out of her bed, they went to each-others bed, and they laid down - the blonde covered himself as he closed his eyes.

"Naruto?!"

Naruto blinked, "Oi. I hope you called me to tell me goodnight!"

"Tell me a story?!"

"No!"

"Pleeeeaseee?!"

"Oi, you promised you'd sleep if we traded bed!"

Mavis smirked through the darkness, "Promises were meant to be broken!"

Naruto's eyes widened when he heard this, and he growled slightly. Mavis only spoke, "Stories help me fall asleep faster - especially those of the great Boxer-Sama!" She said excitedly.

Naruto blinked, "B-Boxer-Sama?"

"Yes! My mom used to tell me stories about Boxer-Sama as a young girl... So can you tell me stories about his adventures?!"

Naruto continued blinking before nodding, "Boxer-Sama... Oi, well Boxer-Sama was a mage who lived during the Dragon Civil war - he met Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha... One night before going off to the Dragon's nest - they all sat down and examined an Adult Magazine... After, that time he disappear, right?!"

Mavis nodded, "What do... You think happened to him?!"

Naruto blinked, "He probably ended up telling an annoying little brat - stories about himself!"

"Don't be sarcastic! I'm being serious!"

"O-Oi, I am -"

"Do you think he had friends?"

Naruto stayed silent, "Sure... He had a brother named Natsu... They were both trained by the same dragon... Boxer-Sama was a shitty brother in the end, so he ended up alone.. while is brother met tons of friends, and went on adventures with them..."

"Aww.. If Boxer-Sama was alive - I'd be his best-friend.. Even... If everyone turned their back against him!" Mavis smiled, as her eyes drooped.

Naruto's eyes widened, before he smiled softly, "Who knows... Maybe one day you'll meet him..."

Mavis stayed silent before speaking, "If I ever do... I'd tell him this, "It doesn't matter if you have one friend while others have thousands of friends... You just have to find a friend that's worth 1,000 friends!"

The blondes eyes widened, he had no idea what to say.

"Naruto-chan?"

"Hmm?"

"Goodnight..." Mavis drifted into a sleep, while the blonde stayed up looking at the ceiling. He closed his eyes and tried to sleep - but couldn't, so he shifted his body to the side - yet he couldn't sleep. So he whispered, "Mavis?!"

"..."

"Oi, wake up Mavis!"

"..."

"I know you can hear me!"

"..."

"Brat! If you don't wake up, I'll tell everyone you peed on the floor!"

"..." Mavis was in a deep sleep.

"Maaavis please waaaaake up!"

No use, the guild master ended up going into a peaceful sleep, while the blonde stayed awake, unable to sleep! While the blonde tried to wake Mavis up: Mavis only smirked.

Note: Haha, Naruto got trolled by Mavis in a way! What did you think? I wanted to do some Mavis and Naruto interaction this chappie so yep! This chap was inspired by that one Gintama episode! So yeah leave a lengthy review if you can!
