Chapter 50: E.N.D!
"Naruto-kun, you couldn't sleep again, huh?" Zeira asked Naruto, who yawned, he was sitting by Fairy Tail's bar. A bowl of ice-cream in front of him.
The blonde nodded, "That brat... I can't wait to get... Rid of her... and go back home!" He glared at Mavis who was sitting next to him.
"I know you'll miss me!" Mavis smiled at the blonde.
"Oi, I'll miss you so much I can't wait to be as far away from you as possible!" Naruto, told her while putting a spoonful of Ice-cream.
"You don't mean that!" Mavis stated, while glaring at him.
"Yes, I do brat!"
"N-No you don't!"
"Oi, why don't you walk out of the guild - walk to the nearest river, place your head inside the water and wake the hell up, I won't miss you!" The blonde told her, causing her to glare at him before punching his face - the blonde felt her fist kiss his lips while she spoke, "Jerk! I c-can't wait for you to leave as well! I-I'll do a victory dance!" She said as she ran away.
Naruto blinked while he saw tears slipping from her eyes, clearly not phased by her punch, "Oi, why is the brat crying?" He turned to Zeira.
"Mavis... She's taken a liking to you this past week... I guess she's just sad that you'll end up going back to your time.. Can you cut down being an ass to her?" Zeira told the blonde. "This past week you have been sort of an ass to her you know? Actually, one moment you're nice and the next you're an ass, what's your deal?"
Naruto stayed silent before he spoke, "Oi. Nobody misses assholes, and you're boring me so I'm out of here!" The blonde got up with his bowl of ice-cream as he headed toward the guild exit
"Nobody misses assholes?" Zeira thought as he walked away, "So he's being an ass for Mavis wouldn't miss him as much? What a foolish person... but in a way... I guess its his way of showing he cares for her feelings..." Zeira smiled, as she watched him leave.
Meanwhile, our favorite blonde was walking behind the Fairy Tail guild, behind the guild there was a lake, and trees. The blonde saw Mavis sitting down, leaning on one of the trees. She must of sensed him - because he saw her wiping the tears from her eyes.
"What do you want?!" Mavis snapped at the blonde, she sensed him walked up to her, and with the corner of her eyes, she saw him crouch down besides her.
"Oi, calm down brat, is it your period?!"
"N-No! It's not!"
"Then cheer up," Naruto said before putting another spoonful of ice-cream on his mouth, "Crying should be done when you eat good ice-cream!"
"I'm not c-" Mavis stopped talking, when the blonde grabbed another spoonful of ice-cream and shoved the spoon inside her mouth. She couldn't help but eat the tasty ice-cream.
"Naruto-chan, are we friends?" Mavis asked him, after she finished swallowing the ice-cream.
"If by friends you mean annoying me and not letting me sleep, then shit, I guess we are," Naruto replied, Mavis's eyes widened before she smiled.
"How is Fairy Tail like in the future?" She asked the blonde after a while of silence.
"Oi, It's a shitty guild!"
Mavis stayed silent before she said, "Can you promise me something?"
The blonde didn't reply to that, so Mavis continued, "Can you promise me you'll protect Fairy Tail for me, from this moment forward?!"
"Oi! Why would I do such a shitty thing? I don't even want this shitty guild mark on my neck! If you want to protect them so much, do it yourself brat! Don't give your burdens and responsibilities to me!" Naruto told her, as he stood up.
Mavis looked at the blonde before she smiled, "I'll that as a yes!"
The blonde sweat-dropped, "Like hell it's a yes! It's a big fat NO!"
Mavis was about to speak when they heard a voice behind them, "Mavis! Naruto!" They turned around to see Precht and Yuriy walking towards them. Both just stayed in their positions, waiting for the duo to arrive to where they were.
"Mavis, we didn't find anything about the Fairy who knows the spell called Fairy Time..." Yuriy said, as he now stood in front of both blondes.
"It was probably a rumor," Precht stated, while looking thoughtful. "There really probably isn't a thing such as a Fairy... Especially with a powerful spell enough to mess with time."
Naruto just looked bored, clearly not bothered by the information.
"Hey! Don't just stand there looking bored, Naruto!" Yuriy pointed at the blonde, "We just said some bad news! You should be raging with anger!"
"Oi, I am raging with anger, this is my anger face!" Naruto stated, while he pointed at his face.
Yuriy sweat-dropped, "That's your bored face! And at least show your rage!"
POW!
Yuriy flew backwards when Naruto swung his fist, and punched Yuriy's jaw, causing him to crashed into a tree, Yuriy growled, "What the fuck was that for?!"
"Oi, you told me to show my anger, so I did!" Naruto replied, as he picked his ear.
"Grr, you-"
"We're going to look for him, then... It's our only option!" Yuriy stopped talking when he heard Mavis speak, a serious and thoughtful look on her face.
"WHAT?! H-He's dangerous! You know that!" Yuriy yelled, "You can't really be serious?! Just because he taught us magic doesn't mean he is our ally!"
"I know..." Mavis stated, "But if it's to help out a friend - I'm willing to make a deal with the devil if I have to!"
Yuriy's and Precht's eyes widened, before Precht spoke, "That's too foolish, even for you."
"He didn't even want to be part of the guild - I don't know why you want to help me so bad!" Yuriy said while eyeing Naruto who was just looking at them, uninterested look on his face.
"Oi, are you jealous?" Naruto smirked at Yuriy.
"Why would I be jealous?!"
"Jealous that Mavis pays more attention to me than you!"
"As if, Naruto!"
"You look like you have a crush on little Mavis, you should go to your nearest therapist, she's too young for you, Yuki!" Naruto smirked.
"My name is Yuriy not Yuki! And I don't have a crush on her, asshole!"
"Oi, if you say so, Yuki."
Yuriy was about to speak when Mavis spoke, "Yuki, I know you're worried but it will be okay, I can take care of myself!" Mavis smiled.
"M-Mavis! You know my name isn't Yuki! W-Why call me Yuki?!"
"Yuki, Mavis is right, Zeref may be dangerous but she can hold her own!" Precht agreed with Mavis.
"P-Precht! You called me Yuki too? W-What is this?!"
"It seemed fun!" Prechit admitted.
"Oi, Yuki calm down!" Naruto told him.
"It"s Yuriy not Yuki!"
"I'm prettty sure it was Yuki and not Yuri!" Mavis said with a smile.
"You do have a point Mavis... His name has always been Yuki hasn't it?" Prechit went along with Mavis, whose smile got bigger.
"It's YURIY NOT YUKI!" Yuriy only yelled.
"Mavis shook her head, "No, It's Yuriy not Yuki!"
Yuriy growled, "Mavis! It"s Yuki not Yuri -"
"Ha! You admitted it! Its Yuki!" Mavis and Naruto grinned while pointing at Yuriy who groaned, as he dropped to the ground.
"Fuck! My! Life!" He muttered, while staring at Naruto and Mavis who were hi-fiving each-other...
"We are looking for Zeref?" Naruto asked Mavis, as they walked through a forest, not far from Magnolia.
Mavis nodded while looking at the blonde, he looked thoughtful, "Do you know Zeref?" She asked him. The blonde shook his head.
"That lizard Kurama told me to kill Zeref... Now could be my chance? Oi, fuck it. It's too troublesome to fight, if humanity falls because of a single man and dragon, then it's meant to be!" The blonde thought, as they continued walking through the forest.
The duo walked in silence. Mavis was looking around. The blonde just walked without a care in the world - his hands behind his back, when he noticed that Mavis had stopped walking. He looked at her to see her staring straight ahead. He turned to the direction she was looking at, to see a black haired man standing twenty or so feet away.
"Zeref..." Mavis said his name.
"Mavis.." He looked at her, before turning and looking at Naruto, who looked back at him. The black mage examined the blonde, as if searching for something.
"Zeref... We are trying to locate the Fairy that can uses the spell Fairy Time, can you help us?" Mavis smiled at Zeref, who turned to her.
"I do have information that could prove to be useful... However, I will give you this information if you do one thing for me." The black mage stated, as he pulled out a book and opened it.
"What would that be?" Mavis asked Zeref.
Out of the book, something started coming out, Mavis and Naruto looked at the thing coming out from the book, and Naruto's eyes widened when he saw the person that came out of the book.
"N-Natsu?!" Naruto stuttered, as looked at the figure in front of him.
"You know him?!" Mavis turned to Naruto, who was frozen in shock. The being in front of him was Natsu? But why was he giving off a menacing and evil aura? What the hell was going on?! Nothing made sense to the blonde.
"I will give you the information you want if Boxer-Sama defeats my strongest demon ever created: E.N.D!" Zeref smirked darkly, while E.N.D charged at Naruto.
Note: Yeah, planned on finishing this arc this chapter but shit happens lol. I have been wanting to do this for a while Naruto seeing Natsu as E.N.D and you know.
So yeah those of you who didn't know; Natsu is E.N.D
And now Naruto seems to have his hands full lol.
