It's all so wrong

A/N: I hope I can get the next few out on time, as school is rearing its ugly head. There isn't much to say about this chapter, but I'm not sure how long this'll be. I own nothing except Calvin, the plot, and the children.

Sandy's POV

I can't believe this, I actually begged the lowly bastard to let me go. Of course he didn't since I'm still stuck in this mangy apartment room, I can't even raise my energy an inch. Right now, I just want to watch him bleed and beg. Shadow's rubbed off on me in more than one way, I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. Going over to the window as it started raining, I yearned to be out there.

I froze hearing him shift around and later stop. Holding my breath, I softly exhaled at not feeling him behind me, seeing a flash of lightning I stepped back catching a glimpse of crimson irises. Okay, either I miss my family a bit too much or I'm going crazy.

"Why are you up?" A simple question that now held fear in every word.

Feeling him behind me now, I turned and simply replied, "It's raining."

Pulling me towards him, Calvin said, "You aren't planning on leaving, are you?"

Swallowing my defiance and pride, I answered, "No, I…would n-never leave."

Seeing another flash of lightning except it was more intense, causing me to tear away from him, whispering, "Shadow."

Grabbing my face and turning it towards his, he asked, "What was that?"

"Nothing."

He ran a hand through my hair and slipped on his shirt, leaving me alone. Looking out the window again, I gasped lightly at feeling someone's hands rest on my hips and pull me to their chest. Glancing out the corner of my eye, I smiled.

"How'd you find me?" I asked, fully turning towards him.

"Actually, I'm just speaking to you telepathically, so I'm not here in the flesh."

"Then how are you…"

"I have no idea." He interrupted, letting out a small chuckle.

Sitting on the bed, I pulled my knees to my chest resting my chin on them. "He didn't hurt you, did he?" he asked, pulling me against him once more.

I shook my head, answering, "No, I'm fine."

He frowned and looked me over for bruises, finding nothing, he asked, "When are you planning on leaving?"

"If he doesn't come back tonight, I miss you and the kids." I winced feeling his teeth sink into my collarbone. "Did you just mark me again?"

He nodded, replying, "You were starting to reek of him, there is no way I'm letting my (1) Gattin smell like another guy."

"How, um, sweet. Just…"

"I mean it, Female." He interrupted, and later continued, "I'd better go; I'll wait outside though."

I smiled watching his image fade and disconnect the call. My smile quickly faded at hearing the door slam shut which followed by Calvin's steps get louder until he was standing in front of me. Tilting my head up, he growled, "I wonder where this came from?"

"I fell." I answered, pulling away from him. "I want the window open tonight, it's stuffy in here."

He only scoffed and lifted it halfway, perfect. Waiting until he fell asleep, I got up slipping on sweatpants and a baggy shirt. Jumping out the window, I faltered a bit on my landing. But hey at least I'm away from Calvin.

"What took you so long?"

"I just had to grab this." I answered, showing him the vial with the blue substance.

Shadow grinned, saying, "I think I should have a little talk with him."

Watching him disappear inside, I dropped the vial watching it shatter and the liquid spread on the ground. Snapping my eyes towards the room Calvin was in at hearing muffled screams, I sighed and chuckled softly. I guess it's okay to have someone so protective of you, and it might even be sweet.

"Ugh, just having his blood on me is making me desperate for a shower." Shadow said, shaking himself off.

I laughed lightly, replying, "Well, you can shower once we get home."

"Just promise not to scare me like that again, Frau."

"Whatever, just take me home, ya jerk."

Picking me up, he smirked at my remark starting back home. Plopping onto the mattress, I smiled breathing in the scent of machinery and possible jasmine.

A/N: I'm sorry if the chapters aren't long enough or coming out too fast, I don't have much to do with my free time. So any questions you'd like me to answer about the children or the story itself? Review please.
