Disclaimer: When have I ever own anything when it comes to Gossip Girl? Haha. I own nothing! Enjoy! :)

Chapter 23.

It was amazing how easy it was for Dan and Serena to go back to they way they used to be. Ever since that night - the night where Dan told her that he still loved her, the night they got back together - it was like nothing happened over the past years. They talked about everything - honesty and truth - and by 5 in the morning, they had resolved all of their issues and Serena kissed him before they dozed off on the floor of her living room.

They'd been practically inseparable ever since.

They are not even sure how they manage to get away with it. No one else knows that they are together again, so Dan makes excuses when Jenny asks where he's going or where he's been, telling her sister that he's too tired to talk because it's been a long day - a long day spending with Serena - and he just wants to go to sleep. That's a lie, because at 2 am, he's still awake texting or talking to Serena. Serena, on the other hand, locks herself in her apartment. She declines each and every one of Blair's text to go shopping or Nate's offer hang-out or something. She was just contented with having to spend the day with Dan.

Currently, Dan was once again at Serena's and he's sitting on the couch with Serena's head on his lap as he runs his hands up and down her arm while Serena's trying to find a show they could watch.

Suddenly, Serena's phone rang causing the pair to jump slightly. Serena reached over the table to grab her phone before sitting up and answering the call.

"Hello?"

"Serena! Finally, I was beginning to think you dropped off the face of the earth." Blair exclaimed.

"Hello to you too, Blair." Serena replied with a laugh. Dan reached out to her and pulled her closer to him again, squeezing her waist affectionately.

"Are you busy today? You better not be because we're going shopping today."

"Blair.. I can't." She groans once she felt Dan's lips on her neck, planting wet kisses on the spot where her shoulder meets her neck.

"Serena, I feel like I haven't even seen you in a month." Okay, that was not true. Dan and Serena had only been back together for a week and a half. "S, don't make me come over there and haul your ass out of your apartment."

She groans once again, feeling Dan's hot breath tickle the sensitive spot from behind her ear.

"B, I'm -"

"Meet me at the Empire in twenty." Blair states firmly, before saying a quick goodbye - a 'You better show up, S. Bye sweetie!' - and hanging up.

Once she placed her phone back on the table, she turns to Dan and was immediately greeted by his lips being pressed against hers. She shifts herself and places herself on Dan's lap, so that she was straddling him as Dan's lips left hers to trail it down her neck.

"So, what did Blair want?" He asks, in between kisses.

"Apparently, we're going shopping." She replies, before tugging at his hair to pull his lips towards hers again. He merely hums in response before deepening the kiss further as his hands slipped under her shirt.

Her fingers starts unbuttoning his shirt, their lips never breaking apart. He slipped his tongue inside her mouth and she moans quite loudly in response. Their tongues battled inside their mouths for a while before Serena finally finished unbuttoned his shirt, slipping it off of him easily. Once his shirt was off of him, she cupped his cheek with both hands as they continued to kiss, with Dan pulling her more closer to him.

Dan was running his arms up and down her back and not long after, Dan broke away from her so he could lift her shirt over her - to which she instantly obliged - before going back to kissing her once again. He flipped them over and gently pushed Serena to the couch, hovering over her as he continued to kiss her passionately. She hooks her left leg around his waist and her fingers plays with the button of his pants as he began massaging her sides - his fingers going up and up until he felt the clasp on her bra.

Just as he was about to unclasp her bra, his phone started to ring. He took a second to pull away and press ignore before he was back kissing Serena again. He was leaving a trail of kissed down Serena's neck and onto her chest when his phone started ringing again. Serena giggles from underneath him as he pushed himself off of her, grabbing his phone from the side table in the process.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Dan." Way to ruin the moment Jenny.

"What do you want Jen?" He groans silently when Serena went to grab her shirt. His hands reached to stop her but she simply shakes her head before kissing him on the cheek and retreating to her bedroom.

"You need to come home."

"Why?" He asks as he reached for his shirt that somehow ended up across the room. He glanced over to Serena's bedroom to see his girlfriend fixing her hair.

"Because, I need to talk to you about something." Her voice was a bit strained, as if she was excited about something but trying her best to scream at him over the phone.

"Fine. Fine, I'll be there in an hour." He said quickly before hanging up and stalking to Serena's room.

"So, Jenny wants me to head home." Dan said just as Serena finishes doing her make up.

"Okay. I'm going shopping with Blair." The blonde walks up to him and runs a hand through his hair. "I'll see you tonight?"

"Yeah." He supplies before giving her a quick peck on the lips. "Butter, 7 o'clock?"

"It's a date." She smiled, giving him another peck before leaving the apartment, yelling for Dan to lock up when he leaves.

...

When Dan arrived at the loft, he found Jenny sitting on the couch, laptop in front of her, waiting for his arrival. He nods at his sister before going over to the kitchen and pouring himself a glass of orange juice.

"Uhh.. Hey Jen." No response. "What's up?"

"When are you gonna tell me you and Serena got back together?" His eyes went wide and he even almost spit out his drink.

"What -? How did you know that?"

"Dan." She finally shifts her gaze from her laptop to look at him. "Just because you shut down Gossip Girl years ago doesn't mean people stopped sending in tips."

"Wait..." He placed his glass on the counter before walking over to where Jenny was and sat beside her. "You're still looking into Gossip Girl?"

"And you should too." Jenny merely supplies, typing away on her laptop - and as Dan could see, filtering tons of Gossip Girl tips. "You know there are still a lot of people sending in tips. We have like hundreds of unopened tips for Gossip Girl. I don't really know why, though. It's not like we're starting Gossip Girl back up anytime soon."

She places the laptop on Dan's lap and opened an e-mail. Spotted: Lonely Boy and Golden Girl together again? It was a picture of the two of them yesterday, when he and Serena went out to get ice cream downtown. Serena's got that little ice cream stain on the side of her lip so he took it out with his thumb before Serena shifted closer and pressed her lips against his, murmuring about how he has ice cream on his lips. Of course, people have seen them, of course people would take a photo. It just came as a surprise that people still send it to Gossip Girl.

"Anyway, I found out.." Jenny pointed the picture out. "...because about five people sent in a tip with a picture of you two kissing."

"Jen, why are you looking through Gossip Girl's e-mail?"

"I was bored, I finished my work early so Blair allowed me to take the rest of the day off." Jenny whines in defense, taking the laptop from him. "I didn't know juicy scandals were still being sent here. I, like you, assumed that no one - except for the occasional senders - is giving Gossip Girl tips anymore."

"Right." He nods in agreement. "Because Gossip Girl's dead, and it will stay that way, okay? We're not running it again."

"I didn't say we were."

"Good, nice talk Jen." He stood up and starts heading to his bedroom but three steps later, Jenny's hand darted out to grab his wrist, stopping his movements. "What?"

"Soo... Is it true?"

"What's true?"

"Daaan..."

"You already saw the photos Jen, does it not look real enough for you?"

"Well, yeah..." Jenny places the laptop on the table before standing up, "But I want to hear it."

"Fine, fine." He looks at the awaiting face of Jenny - she looks so hopeful, and he wants to laugh but he knows Jenny's wanted this to happen for a long time now. He even remembers her yelling at him for not going after Serena when she left New York.

"Well..."

"Yes, Serena and I are together again." He was expecting a loud squeal and sure enough, he was not disappointed. As soon as Dan finished talking, Jenny was already screaming, squealing, hugging him tightly.

"Oh my god! You guys are back together! You're really together! Oh my god!" It reminds him of that time when they were teenagers and he and Serena got back together that summer, Jenny's enthusiasm now was almost the same as then, if not more.

"Am I the first to know? I mean, besides the loyal GG tippers we have, of course."

"Yes, Jen. Wait a second, is this the reason you asked me to come home?"

"Yup!" Jenny flashes him a smile. "Oh, this is so exciting! I can't wait to tell Vanessa and Eric and -"

"Woah, hold up there, Jenny. You're not telling anyone."

"What?" Jenny whines, reminding Dan of a time when Jenny was seven when she cried for hours when their dad refused to let her go to the park to watch some fashion shoot at Central Park - yes, a fashionista at such a young age. "Why not?"

"Because it's not your news to tell." Dan tells her pointedly, going to his room. "This conversation is over Jenny, you're not telling anybody."

...

"I told you not to be late, Serena."

"Sorry." Serena sheepishly smiled at her best friend, going over to where she is to give the brunette a hug.

"I would've understood if you were ten minutes late or even twenty. But an hour?" Blair states as she links her arm with Serena's and they head to the elevator, grabbing their purses on the way. "Serena van der Woodsen, where have you been?"

"I was just home, B."

"Uh huh. You're usually punctual whenever we agree to meet up." Blair comments just as the elevator started going down. "The only reason that you could be late is when - Oh my god!"

Serena groans, knowing exactly what entered Blair's mind. And she's not exactly wrong, either.

"Are you dating again?" And apparently, Serena blushed because Blair giggled before pointing it out. "Tell me, who is it?"

"Blair, I'm not dating anyone." She knows it's wrong to lie to Blair, to deny her and Dan's relationship, but they've talked about it and agreed that they would tell everyone together.

"You little liar!" Blair teased. "That glow, the bounce in your step earlier, and you blushed. Okay, you're not only dating him, you've been sleeping with him and I want the deets."

"Blair..."

"Just tell me who it is."

"B, I'm not -"

"Serena." Blair shoots the brunette a pointed look. "Stop denying and start talking."

"Okay." She relents just as they step out of the elevator. "So, I am dating -"

"I knew it!" Blair giggles. "So, spill. Who is the lucky guy, S?"

"That I'm not going to tell you."

"Oh, come on. Why not?" Blair all but whines and when Serena simply smirked at her, she lets out an irritated huff.

"Because this is not him and me time. It's you and me." Serena leaves it at that because as they stepped out of the hotel, Chuck's limo - or Blair's - was already waiting for them. She opens the door before turning to Blair. "So, are you coming or not?"

"Fine," Blair finally relents. "But this is not over, Serena."

...

"Hey, I'm so sorry I'm late." Serena claims as she gives Dan a peck on the lips. Dan pulls out a chair for her once they pulled away.

"It's okay." Dan said as he sat opposite her. "I just got here anyway."

"How was your day? What did Jenny want?"

"Well..." He chuckled nervously. "Jenny knows."

"What? How?"

"She was checking on Gossip Girl e-mails earlier. I don't know why but apparently there are still people who send in tips."

"But Gossip Girl is dead." She comments just as a waiter pours both of them a glass of wine. She quickly thanked the waiter before turning back to Dan, taking a sip of her wine. "Gossip Girl is dead, right? Please don't tell me you or Jenny are planning on starting her back up again."

"What? No!" Dan stares at her incredulously. "Besides, where's the fun in that? Everyone knows it's me who's running Gossip Girl already."

Suddenly, they heard someone clear their throat and a scoff from somewhere. Serena buries her head in her hands while Dan simply groans, both of them already knowing who it was. Reluctantly, Serena lifts her head, meeting eyes with Dan for a second before the two of them turns to face their uninvited company.

"Chuck, Nate and Blair. Great to see you." Dan groans again, loud enough for the three, who were now standing in front of them, to hear.

"When you told me you were dating again, I did not expect you to be dating Dan Humphrey." Blair.

Serena turns to her best friend with a sheepish look mixed with a little annoyance on her face. "Hey, B. Hey guys."

"Oh, honey..." Blair turns to look at Dan for a moment before shifting her gaze back to the blonde. "You have a lot of explaining to do."

.to be continued.

A/N: Okay, sorry for the slow update. I had a hard time thinking of what to put in here, but I hope you guys will like this. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter.

Next chapter will show everyone's reaction now that they found out that Dan and Serena got back together. So far, only Jenny knows that they are back together - as well as a few avid tippers on GG but since Gossip Girl is 'dead', there was no blast exposing D and S's relationship. So, no one else knows.

And I know Blair seems a bit against Dan but she will come around. She is Serena's best friend and she only wants the best for Serena and she doesn't want S to get hurt again, that's why she is a bit protective of S when it comes to Dan.

Soo, again I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. And my apologies for all my spelling and grammar mistakes. Haha.

Anyway, as always, please tell me what you think of this chapter. How do you think Blair and the others would react? Tell me your thoughts, please? Reviews are very, very welcome and appreciated and loved. It seriously makes my day! :)

I'm working on the next chapter so hopefully, I'll be able to finish it soon. Hey, here's to hoping, right? Love you guys! xx
