Chapter 25.

Serena opens the door to Blair's office with a huge smile on her face. She was scheduled to fit her dress for the wedding today. Supposedly, according to Blair, it should've been last week but one of her employees messed up the details of the dress or something and her best friend had to fix it herself. She mentioned asking Jenny to fix it for her but later on decided to do it herself since it is after all Serena's, her best friend's, dress and Serena deserves nothing but the best.

"Good morning B!"

"Oh..." Blair looks up from her laptop to look at the blonde then gestures for her to sit down on the seat in front of her. "..Well, aren't you a ray of sunshine today?"

"Well, let's just say I'm simply excited to see my dress." Serena giggled when all Blair did was roll her eyes at the blonde. Then, she lets her eyes roam around the room, as if looking for something. "Soo, where is it?"

"Where's what?"

"Uhh... The dress."

"Oh, Little J Humphrey's bringing it in." Blair shuts her laptop then leans back in her seat. "Speaking of Humphreys, why isn't Dan here? I thought he was the 'official wedding writer' or something."

"He's just picking up a few things from the loft, he'll be here soon."

A comfortable silence fill the room soon after that. Later on, Serena left Blair's office so that her best friend could do her work. She wandered around the building and went to the room where Waldorf designs store their collections to check out some of the recently-made dresses of B. Waldorf collections which will be out a few months from now. While doing so, her phone chimed and she saw a message from Dan.

"Be there in about 30."

She was about to type out a reply when her phone beeped once again. A message, again, from Dan.

"See you soon. I love you."

She smiles to herself, replying an 'I love you too.' before slipping her phone back in her purse and continued wandering around.

A few minutes later, the door opens and slams shut, causing her to jump slightly. The blonde quickly spun around and sighed in relief once she saw Jenny Humphrey standing there, carrying a garment bag.

"Oh, hey Serena." A somewhat breathless Jenny greeted her, before the younger blonde strolled over to one corner and hanged the garment bag near a dressing room. "What are you doing here? I thought you were with Blair."

"Hey Jenny." Serena walks closer to Jenny. "Blair had a lot of things to attend to, So, I decided to check out the dresses for the next collection. I saw a few that I liked very much."

"Well, good, because you're going to be modeling some of them."

"Really?" Serena asked with glee. "Do I get to choose which ones I would get to wear?"

"I dunno." Jenny shrugs. "Blair says she already had a special batch of designs for you to wear for the fashion show. But I'm pretty sure that if something catches your eye, Blair would gladly let you wear it, maybe even give it to you."

"Perks of being labeled as the 'Blair Waldorf bestie'." Serena giggles, nudging her shoulders against Jenny, making the other blonde giggle as well.

"Hey, so your dress is over there." Jenny pointed out to a garment bag on the other side of the room.

"Great, I'll try it on."

"What?! No!" Jenny's hand darts out to stop her from going closer to the dress. She gives the younger blonde a confused look. "Blair said not to let you wear it yet. It's not yet finished."

"What? Then why did Blair - I thought I was going to try it on today."

"Nope." Jenny clarifies with a smile. "She just wanted to know if you have any suggestions. Anything you'd like to add or something. You can't wear it yet."

"Okay." She starts going towards the dress again but Jenny's words stops her again.

"Blair said not to touch or look at it unless she's with you."

Serena groans, making Jenny giggle at her.

"Relax, Serena." Jenny takes a couple of fabric swatches, before heading to the door. "Blair's just talking to some of her "less important" clients - her words, not mine. I think she's about to be done, though. Just hang on."

"Yeah, sure, Jenny."

"Do you want to -" Jenny motions to the door and when Serena shook her head, Jenny gives her another smile before walking out, but not before yelling at Serena over her shoulders not to touch the dress.

Serena sighs happily, settling on a couch. She wanted so badly to just go over the other side and try the dress on. But she knew Blair would throw a fit if she does. Serena already knows it's going to be perfect - after all, it is a Blair Waldorf original, designed by the brunette herself. And it wasn't like Blair hasn't been calling her for suggestions on the dress, so really, Serena's sure that the dress is perfect. Blair would not settle for anything less.

"Well, I'm surprised to see you here." A voice called out just as the door closes.

Serena looks up and was face to face with someone she never thought she would see again. Last she heard, said someone was supposed to be in Hawaii or something, Serena doesn't really know nor does she really care. So, it really was a surprise to see her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend standing in front of her.

"Georgina."

"Serena." The brunette smirks at her. "I take back what I said. I actually knew you were going to be here so I decided to drop by."

"What are you doing here? How did you even get in here?"

"Not my fault those guards downstairs doesn't know how to do their job. I mean, I'm pretty sure Blair banned me from this place but those guards are so easy to fool." Georgina took several steps so that she was now closer to the blonde. "You should tell your best friend to replace them."

"What are you doing here, Georgina?" Serena practically hisses, swatting at Georgina's arm when the latter tried placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Oh, sweetie. I just wanted to see how you are doing." Georgina smiles sweetly at her, sounding so genuine and concerned. But anyone who actually knew Georgina Sparks know one hundred percent that it's fake. "But fine, I'm actually hoping to see that little ex-boyfriend of mine. He's not here yet? I have something to tell him."

"I can tell him. Just tell me what it is and just leave already."

"Oh, but you see Serena... I don't think you would like what I have to say. Actually, I don't think you would want Dan to know what I'm going to tell him."

"What are you talking about?" Serena asks, confused.

"Oh, you know exactly what I am talking about." Georgina smirks as she watches Serena's face fell. "Tell me, Serena. You still having nightmares?"

"I don't -"

"Cut the crap, Serena." Georgina steps closer to Serena. "I know. I've always known."

"Then why haven't you told him yet?" Serena asks, wiping away the tears that were starting to form. "Isn't that what you wanted? To make my life miserable? To get back at me?"

"Serena, please, I'm not stupid." Georgina takes another step closer to the blonde but this time, Serena steps back. "If I told Dan the minute I knew, the little reunion you two had would've been sped up. Now that all the years have gone by, how do you think Dan would react if he found out about your little secret?"

"You don't know what you're talking about."

"Don't I?" Georgina smirks. "Oh, but I do know how Dan would be like. Having been in the dark for too long. It'll destroy your relationship. It'll destroy him."

"Georgina, please don't." Serena was quivering, almost pleading. And it is exactly what Georgina Sparks was hoping for.

"Oh, I won't. I swear, I won't." Georgina picks up her purse that she dropped on a chair when she came in before turning to Serena once more. "But you're delusional to even think that your little secret won't come out eventually."

"Georgina -"

"I'll leave you to it. You'll do enough damage without my help." Georgina waves her off before leaving Serena all alone.

As soon as Georgina was nowhere in sight, Serena let the tears that she's been holding back fall from her eyes. She hastily swipes at her face to clear her face with tears, though it doesn't seem to work. She sits on a chair, buries her face in her hands as she tries to control her sobs. She fails to notice someone entering the room due to her crying.

"Hey, they told me you were here. And, I passed by Georgina on the way here. Do you know -" Dan stops at the sight of his girlfriend crying. "Hey, what's wrong?"

Finally, Serena looks up and Dan immediately walked closer to the blonde and pulls her up so that he could wrap his arms around her, whispering soothing words as he rubs her back.

"Serena..."

"Dan, I'm so sorry." Serena hiccups as she buries her head on his chest. "I'm so sorry."

"Hey." Dan pulls back a little bit and cupped her face with both his hands, looking straight into her eyes. "It's okay. Everything's alright." He tried comforting her but she continually shakes her head in disagreement, murmuring how it's not all right.

"What's wrong? Serena, tell me. Is this because of Georgina?"

"Dan..."

"Hey, I promise you. Everything's fine, okay?" He waits - eyes boring into hers - until she's somehow controlled her sobs and then she nods, although a little bit hesitantly.

"Can you tell me what was wrong? What did Georgina say to you?" Dan asks and now that she's somehow calm and collected, Serena can hear the growing anger in Dan's voice.

"Nothing." She wipes the remaining tears on her face. She gives her boyfriend a shaky smile as she sees Blair entering from he corner of her eyes.

"What did I just hear from Jenny?" Blair asks - well, more of demands - the both of them just as she walks over to where they are with Jenny in tow. "Was Georgina really here?"

"Yeah." It was Dan who answered her question. "She was leaving when I got here."

Blair ponders over Dan's answer for a moment before shifting her eyes over to the blonde beside him. Serena was shaking a little, trying to regain composure.

"S, are you okay?"

"Y - Yeah. I'm fine."

"Are you sure?" Blair asks warily. She glances at Dan who shrugs in return. Serena nods, managing to give her best friend a real smile, stepping away from Dan and towards the brunette.

"Okay, then. Let's go fit your dress then. And tell me what to think." Blair spins around and headed towards where Serena's gown was placed. Jenny gives the couple a concerned look and mouths something to Dan that Serena didn't quite understand before following Blair to the other side of the room. Serena was just about to follow the two when Dan's hand darts out, stopping her from doing so.

"Hmm?"

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yeah." Serena places a hand on his cheek, caressing it softly before letting her hand trail down his arm, intertwining their fingers together when she reaches his hand. "I'm sure."

"Is there something I should know?" Dan asks as they make their way towards Blair and Jenny. "Serena, what did Georgina say to you?"

"Nothing." Nothing you should know right now. "Don't worry about it!"

"If you're sure." He kisses her on the forehead before she was pulled by Blair and Jenny into a dressing room to her to fit her dress for her parents' wedding.

You can't know, Dan. Not yet, not right now. Serena thought as she follows whatever Blair tells her to do.

I'm so sorry.

.to be continued.

A/N: There are no words to make up for how long I have seemingly abandoned this story. (Did that even make sense?) But seriously, for those of you who still bother to stick around after the very long absence, I am very truly sorry for not updating sooner.

But I am back and I promise to not leave this story unupdated for as long as I had - 4 months, right? I promise you guys, that will never happen ever again.

But for all the readers out there who still bother clicking on this story and is still waiting patiently for an update, thank you very very much. I've said this before, and I'll say it again, I will NOT abandon this story. I love this story very much to not finish it. So, again, unless it is marked complete, there are still more to come.

Anyway, this chapter I think opens up a very interesting twist in the story. Because, yes, there is something that Serena haven't told Dan that will definitely make an impact on their lives. Georgina knows, obviously. And two other persons know what Serena's secret it. Maybe you guys could leave your guesses in your reviews on what Serena's secret is and who are the two that knows what that is (you know, besides Georgina and Serena).

My apologies for any grammar and spelling mistakes that I have made. I literally just finished writing this chapter and I wanted to post this as soon as possible, so I didn't double checked and edited this, so really... Yeah.

That being said, I still hope you like this chapter and please please please tell me what you think of this chapter, leave me reviews, share with me your thoughts and your guesses. Please review, I really want to know what you think!

Again I am really truly very sorry for this delay. I hope this new chapter can somehow make up for my long absence. Oh, and expect a new chapter within the next two weeks! Love you guys and thanks for sticking with me! xx
