Give up my way

A/N: Um, so since I'm trying my hardest to get other chapters out that I haven't worked on in a couple of months/a year; I'll put this on hold after this. Oh, and I might post bonus chapters under a different name. Anyway, before I start rambling, enjoy.

Werewolf99: She's a grey bat, that's about all I can give.

Lala Laka: Shadow only sings Moskau to annoy her knowing full well she doesn't understand German.

Sandy's POV

Letting this information sink in, I asked, "When do they need me?" Looking at me he cleared his throat.

"In a week or two, you can bring someone if you'd like." He answered, playing with the hem of his shirt.

I nodded and stood preparing to leave, saying, "That'd be nice."

Going back home, I dreaded the conversation coming up a bit later on in the day. Seeing Amy, Sonic, and Maria sitting on the couch, I stopped behind one of the couches.

"So, mom and dad slept in the same bed before they were married, while grandma and that guy were there?" She asked, leaning forward slightly.

They nodded while Amy answered, "Yeah, it was cute until she made him sleep on the floor then kept kicking him out because of Calvin."

Hearing her mutter 'bastard' under her breath, I chuckled softly catching their attention. Maria smiled, shouting, "It's cute that you and papa shared the same bed before you married!"

Snorting, I replied, "Well, I didn't want him to. I swear that stubborn streak of his still hasn't left."

Sonic laughed, retorting, "Neither has yours, you're just as stubborn, if not more."

"No I ain't."

"Right, it's equal stubbornness." Amy stated, quickly defusing our small quarrel.

Hearing Maria sigh, I looked at her as she said, "Still, it's cute. Aunt Amy, do you have pictures?"

She nodded in reply and gave them to her. Lifting an eyebrow up, I asked, "When and why did you take pictures?"

"It was usually when I went to wake you guys up. I even made copies; one reason was for taunting and the other possible blackmail." She smiled, continuing, "So she can keep those."

Maria squealed and left, more than likely to show her siblings or put them on her wall. Heading to the lab, I went in facing the wall behind my workbench. Pushing a button beneath it, I surveyed the various lasers, blasters, and guns. Putting my shrink ray back in its original place, I turned from it after pushing the button once more. Realizing I didn't cover my arm up yesterday, I quickly wrapped the gauze I had left over the mark; a bit surprised no one mentioned it.

Leaving, I locked it back only to almost run into Bryce. Ruffling his hair, I smiled, saying, "I'm guessin' your pa is askin' for me."

He nodded, then started fixing his hair, muttering, "Yeah, he said something about you being worried."

Shrugging, I went outside and almost fell at being dragged and later lifted face to face. "Put me down." I demanded, beginning to squirm slightly.

"Just don't do anything stupid." He muttered, still holding onto me.

Finally slipping out of his grip, I chuckled, replying, "Relax, I'll be fine. I don't leave 'til next week anyway."

Turning his back towards me, he nodded, stating, "When you do leave take your weapons und your cloak."

"Alright, I'm surprised y'all ain't begging me to not leave." I taunted, watching him turn back to face me.

He scoffed, crossing his arms, replying, "First off, I don't beg nor plead. Secondly, it's your choice to go; I have no say in this matter."

"As my advisor and trainer, ya sorta do. As my husband, you don't." I retorted, poking him in the ribs. Moving away from my hand, I grinned, declaring, "You're ticklish, I think this'll be a fun week."

"No I'm not, besides I refuse to come along."

Grinning, I poked him in the ribs again, getting a small chuckle out of him. "Sure you aren't."

Going back inside, I stopped seeing Shadow's pa still here. Looking at me, he sighed, saying, "I'd watch my back if I were you once you leave. Something devastating might happen."

"Okay, any real reason why you're still here?" I asked, sitting across from him.

He smirked, answering, "Just to watch him, and my eldest grandson."

'Bryce is a good kid, and as far as I'm concerned he knows nothing about Black Doom.' I thought, nodding briefly.

"I know your son is exceptional, as well as the other children. But as you and I know Shadow's protective, he means well. Still, having a successor is meaningful. With your permission, I'd like to take your son and make him king since Shadow enjoys being a traitor to his people."

Standing, I walked past him, answering, "No, we both want them to have normal lives. Taking that away from them is equivalent to killing them."

Can't he just extract the side of Shadow he actually wants instead of making him transform and having him fight to stay in the state he's in now? Surely they can figure something out without causing harm.

Stepping into the shower, I hummed in content and began washing my hair. Getting out a few minutes later, I dried off and grabbed my nightgown only to see it longer and black. I'm assuming Shadow did me a favor, well slightly. Putting it on, I didn't bother with how it fit. Plopping on the bed, I froze then chuckled nervously, saying, "Sorry, I thought you were still outside."

Shaking his head, he pushed me on my side, muttering, "Go to bed, Female."

Shrugging, I shifted next to him wrapping my arms around his upper torso and falling asleep.

A/N: So, school is starting back up so that means way less time to work on this. Yes, things will get more mystical and dangerous from here on out. Not sure when the next chapter will be out, but I get the feeling you guys will be mad at me for the ending. Review please.
