Matt - Seth has lost all his memories. It is natural that he starts to take on the opinions of Hades is he has lost his own. Hades has a problem with half-bloods, they usually ask for loved ones back.
Chapter 10 - I Enter Hades
"Nectar should heal him," Annabeth argued, "I don't know why it's not working."
"He did say Ambrosia and Nectar didn't work on him." Grover added.
"He's a demigod -"
"He is not." Zoë interrupted, "I did not think about it until now, but he looks very familiar to someone I have met before."
"Where?"
"If I am correct, then he killed: Hitler of Germany,General Hideki Tojo of Japan, Benito Mussolini of Italy, and all of the major leaders in World War 2, on both sides."
"Why?" Annabeth asked looking down a Seth who lay on the floor.
"As you know Hitler was a son of Hades, Hades thought he was a disgrace to the house and sent Seth to kill him and his allies. He killed the rest of the leaders in honour of his lord and for revenge of his loss." Zoë explained.
"How do you know?" Thalia asked.
"The Hunters were sent to hunt out the killer. We only ever saw glimpses of him; he was always several steps ahead of us."
"Um… ladies, his heart's stopped." Grover said nervously.
"What!" Annabeth yelled.
"We need to move him, before anyone comes," Zoe ordered.
The door to the DOA studios opened, there were souls everywhere. I floated across the floor towards a raised podium on the other side of the room. Charon was sitting behind the podium; he looked up as I came towards him.
"How did you die?" He asked.
"The Nemean Lion," I said shortly. I was supposed to be immortal, how could I have died?
"Drachma for passage?"
"You don't need a drachma from me."
"Oh? Why n- Ah! Seth, it's you." Charon scowled, "Come along." He said walking from behind the podium. I followed him into the elevator.
As we descended I began to hear a ringing in my ears, Charon's suit changed into black robes. The elevator descended until it became a boat. The humming my head became more pronounced as we crossed the styx. I started to make out whispers and clutched my head at it quickly turned to shouting.
"- he is dead?" A voice yelled, "Immortals can not die!"
"They can fade," Another voice murmured. The vision in my left eye turned black. Through my right eye I could see a room. My right eye twitched and I felt the scar stretch.
"He has not faded. I felt him enter the underworld. It seems Hecate did her work too well. She took away his full immortality; he is half-immortal like the Hunters." A man with silver hair said.
"Then get him out! You can do that at least." A woman with sharp green eyes argued. The silver haired man nodded.
"Do you doubt me that easily, Phoebe?" He closed his eyes and mine snapped open. The vision in my right eye one again became black. My ghostly limbs moved of their own accord I fell over the side of the boat and into the Styx.
I twitched my fingers and blinked, sitting up from where I was lying down. The first thing I noticed, I was in the Camp's white van.
"He is alive." Annabeth said. She was leaning over me and tying something around my leg. The skin around where the arrow wound was had turned black, my veins were black spider webs up my leg.
"Seth!" Thalia yelled she was sitting beside Zoë. "What the hell? You almost got yourself killed."
"I did get myself killed." I said wincing as I sat up with the help of Annabeth. "What is that noise? It sounds like a tortured owl!"
"Grover is playing his reed pipes," Thalia explained. I nodded.
"Wait a minute. You said you died," Grover paused his song long enough to ask.
"I did. I was on the ferry when something stopped me from going any further. Where are you going now?"
"We," Zoë paused, "are going to D.C."
"What do you mean 'we'? If I remember correctly, at Camp you adamantly refused my help."
"That was before you got yourself killed trying to protect us."
"There is a helicopter following us," Grover interrupted. Zoë nodded.
"No… Wait. I need to say… I am sorry." I looked each of them in the eye.
"What was that?" Annabeth asked smiling.
"Please do not make me say it again," I groaned, Annabeth looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "Fine! I am sorry for being an ass."
"Why?" Thalia asked looking at me.
"Thanks for saving me. I do not know why you bothered, I was an idiot."
"Yes, you were." Zoë said amused. "But, you saved us by following Thorn. It was the least we could do."
"Truce?" I grinned and held out my hand. Zoë hesitated slightly before reaching back and shaking it. Zoë swerved into the fast lane as I looked back. A black military model helicopter was quickly gaining on us. Thalia closed her eyes and prayed to her father. The sky stayed the same.
"Seth, how could you control powers of Zeus?" Annabeth asked her mind racing.
"I do not know." I shrugged slightly. "I have always been able to."
"Do you think you could knock the helicopter out of the sky?"
"I could… maybe." I frowned. "With some help," I glanced at Thalia. The daughter of Zeus grinned at me as I turned to face out the back of the van and at the grey clouds above us. The sky above us was swirling, I could sense a small amount of electricity ready to be used and concentrated on multiplying it. The sky lit up slightly as a small streak of light flickered. My energy decreased more than it should and my leg throbbed. A small lightning bolt struck beside the helicopter, just missing it. I gasped as I felt the rapid drain on my energy and clutched Thalia's hand. She tried to pull away but I held on and used her strength with electricity to augment my own. A blistering lightning strike erupted from the clouds and smashed into the helicopter. A few seconds later there was a cloud of dust as the flying machine fell onto the road behind us. I leaned back against my seat and breathed deeply.
"Hey, man… You okay?" Grover asked.
"Yes." I winced, not wanting to tell him that my leg was hurting more than it should.
