Unchain utopia

A/N: Okay, I'm a bit irritated and I probably will be for a while. Anyway, I won't have much time to work on anything since the school days are confusing and I'm getting a bit stressed.

Werewolf99: She does not, and I'm quite aware that school is important.

Sandy's POV

Waking up, I yawned feeling the earth sift through my fingers. I wonder why they need me at Stolobny Island; it was a war prison camp during World War two. But luckily it's restored now, and as beautiful as ever. I guess it's where they hold meetings or something. Standing, I brushed off the back of my pants, and started in the direction of the island. Shifting the few provisions I brought along; I climbed one of the trees and stared at my surroundings.

Seeing the golden pinnacle, I slid down the tree in anticipation. Running back to where I was resting, I shook Antonio, saying, "Wake up, I found it."

He rubbed his eyes and stood up grabbing his bag and setting it on the horse. "Where is it?" He mumbled, sleep clear in his voice.

"Northeast." I answered; mounting myself on the other horse that pa let me borrow for this trip. He nodded as I asked, "Ready to go?"

Nudging her into a gallop, I chuckled; watching trees whiz by, sort of missing doing this with Randy when we were younger. Seeing the island get closer, I accelerated towards the gates with Antonio trying to keep up. Watching them open, I grinned slowing to a trot giving Stella a break. Watching a male and female ferret walk out of the monastery, I dismounted and saluted them by placing my right fist on my heart.

"Actually, miss; we're the ones who should be saluting. It will be an honor to have you stay here." The male out of the two stated, stepping aside for us to enter.

I shook my head, replying, "Naw, y'all don't have to."

They nodded and began to lead the horses to the back. Deciding not to protest, I went inside as Antonio asked, "Mrs. Hedgehog, how come you didn't bring your husband?"

Inwardly groaning, I replied, "He's my advisor, not to mention overprotective and he doesn't like cold environments."

He nodded slightly then stopped and saluted as three people came through the double doors. Having the shorter of the two stepped towards me, saying, "It must have taken you hours to get here; I'm sorry for the wait."

I chuckled, retorting, "It wasn't bothersome. No need to apologize."

She nodded, turning to leave before noticing Antonio. Smiling, she muttered, "How nice to have you back. Mr. Pavlov, I must say you did a job well done." Shifting her eyes over to me, she continued, "Make yourself at home, Ms. Sandra."

Leaving with the two male foxes trailing behind her, I exhaled feeling the small ball of tension leave with her. Walking ahead of him, I gulped at how spacious it really was. Watching Antonio go to the left, I rubbed the back of my head and followed finally finding a vacant room. Setting my bags down, I stood in the middle of the room in slight awe.

"I don't think I could ever call a room majestic 'til now." I muttered to myself, sitting on the edge of the bed. Unpacking, I made my way to bathroom and showered making sure to remove the bandage from my arm.

A few minutes later, I exited the bathroom petting my tail in anxiety. 'Honestly, what do they expect of me? It's not like I'm supposed to release my energy to preserved body of the Tsar or become one.' I thought, now fervidly stroking my tail.

I doubt they do that though. But my main concern is the woman who greeted us; maybe she's the head of the republic. Calming down, I burrowed underneath the comforter determined to get some sleep.

There's that same castle again; wait, why am I in my cloak? Landing on the frozen earth, I looked around only hearing silence. Seeing something hit the ground, I cautiously went over it, later noticing it was blood. Watching more pour from the sky, I ran hearing the chorus of neighs and hooves. Hearing them stop, I yelped falling through darkness.

Slamming into something, I quickly got up, grabbing my sword. Watching whatever it was move, I grit my teeth only to find it didn't lunge or try to attack me. Increasing my grip on my weapon, I was taken aback as it towered over me.

"What are you doing here?"

Looking right in his eyes, I answered, "I have no idea. I don't think I can do this."

Having color fill the atmosphere, I calmed down as he sat across from me. "You've taken down people way stronger than you, and now you sit here and tell me you can't fulfill something you were chosen for."

Lowering my eyes to the floor, I nodded as he stood in front of me, murmuring, "Just remember that I'll…be with you."

Smiling, I stated, "That's the sweetest thing you've ever muttered, Shadow."

"Whatever. Don't die."

A/N: I'm sorry this is so short, but school is already eating up most of time. Anyway, I'm positive the next one will be late. Any…Really?

Shadow: What? I'm bored and this is getting intense, well as intense as you can write. Anyway, humans, ask whatever question you have.
