Here it is, a day early.

The Gods Decide To Act- chapter 17

I was still asleep – or unconscious – when Artemis landed at Crissy Field after nightfall. Apparently I had missed the death of Zoë Nightshade, it had happened as the prophecy said. I had to admit, I respected her bravery, she went on this quest knowing she would probably die to save her Lady. When I finally woke up after dreaming of Kronos (who was angry but we eventually came to an agreement) we were near Olympus, with a fiery Pegasus carrying me, he was literally fiery.

"Lord, you're up!" Kolasi snorted.

"Yes… I'm up." I thought about my dream; Kronos wasn't very happy. I looked around and saw a massive city floating in the sky. "Is that…?" I swallowed.

"Yes, Lord. That is Olympus."

"Why are we not going to Camp?" I was panicking, what if they knew about what happened when I was in Othrys? "They will kill me."

"Why would they do that, Lord?" Kolasi nickered as we neared the Home of the gods.

"No reason."

"Are you all right, Seth?"

"I am fine, Kolasi. Do not worry." I murmured Kolasi was silent for a while before he rolled to the left and dived down, he rose up into a loop. "What was that for?" I yelled as I struggled to pull myself back into the saddle.

"I was just checking you were all right."

"Do not do that again." I commanded.

"Okay, Lord." Kolasi flapped his wings to catch up to the other Pegasi. I felt a sharp pain in my chest and looked down. There was a strip of fabric covering my stomach. "Bianca and Thalia fixed you up so you wouldn't bleed out all over my back." I nodded absentmindedly as I gingerly touched the makeshift bandage. "Seth, look at Olympus." Kolasi said after a few seconds of silence.

In the dark Olympus had fires spreading shadows across the streets which were full of godlings, nymphs and demigods. Above everything rested the throne room of the gods. It glowed as the torches flickered in the darkness.

As we neared the throne room every nerve in my body started telling me to turn back and leave, to find security in the Underworld. Kolasi slowed down and carefully landed in the outer courtyard, trying not to aggravate my wound. I grunted as I dismounted and stood beside Percy. "I know you don't like the gods, Lord. But it would be a good idea to get Apollo to heal you."

Percy turned to me and looked at the bandage. "Kolasi is right, Seth. Atlas hit you pretty hard."

"Thanks for that, Kolasi. I said I was fine!" I growled.

"You have a hole straight through your chest, Lord." Kolasi replied. I scowled and turned to Thalia, Annabeth and Bianca who were watching.

"Are you ready, half-bloods?" I grinned.

"Always," Thalia said, "Are you?"

"Nope."

The four demigods turned to the huge silver, double doors and walked towards them. Percy reached out the open them but they opened of their own accord into the room. I sighed and followed them in. The doors slammed shut behind me.

Twelve all-powerful divine deities turned their eyes on the five of us.

"Welcome, heroes." Artemis greeted.

"Mooo!" I saw Grover; he was standing beside a cow-serpent.

"The Ophiotaurus," I murmured. The creature was hovering in a water bubble beside the hearth, in the centre of the room. Grover was kneeling in front of Zeus like he was giving a report.

"You made it!" The satyr cried as he hurriedly turned to face us. Then realised it would not be a good idea to turn his back on Zeus and looked for permission.

"Go on," Zeus nodded. He was looking straight at Thalia. Grover trotted over to the demigods, I stood awkwardly in the background. Grover gave Thalia and Annabeth hugs then grasped Percy's arms, completely ignoring me.

"Percy, Bessie and I made it! But you have to stop them, they want to kill him!"

"What?"

"Heroes," Artemis interrupted. The auburn-haired goddess slid off her throne, changing to a youg girl as she approached us. "The council has been informed of your deeds. They know that Mount Othrys is rising in the West. They know of Atlas' attempt for freedom from his burden and the gathering armies of Kronos. We have voted, and we will act. At my father's command Apollo and I shall hunt the most powerful of monsters, and destroy them before they join the Titans'." I flinched slightly and Athena turned to study me. "Athena shall check to the other Titans to make sure they do not find a way to escape from their prisons as Atlas did. Lord Poseidon had been given full permission to unleash his full wrath on the Princess Andromeda and send it to the bottom of the sea. And as for you…" Artemis turned to her fellow immortals. "These half-bloods have done us a great service. Would anyone of us deny that?" The goddess met all of their gazes equally.

"I gotta say, these kids did okay," Apollo cleared his throat. "Heroes win laurels -"

"Excellent! First class," Hermes interrupted, "All in favour of not disintegrating them?"

"What of the children of Hades?" Zeus said, looking straight at me.

"Father," Athena finally looked away from me. "Seth is not a son of Hades."

"What?"

"He does not show any traits of Hades: mad, spiteful, grudges. As you know children of Hades fatal flaws are holding grudges. Did Seth show any of that during the quest?"

Several of the gods shook their heads. "Exactly," Athena continued, "He is adopted."

"Adopted?" Zeus turned to glare at me. "Do you know that, Half-blood?"

"Yes," I nodded. "But I do not know my birth parents so Hades and Persephone adopted me."

"You did not think if important enough to tell us when you were here before?" Zeus raised his eyebrow.

"As much as I will tell you, Hades and Persephone are my parents. They took me in when I knew nothing and Hades kept me a secret from all of you. I have never tried to find my birth parents and I never will. Whoever they are they have left me alone for decades, so why would I try to find them?" I explained trying to stop the anger I felt from creeping into my voice.

"Do you have any idea who they could be?" Athena looked interested like I was a puzzle she was determined to finish. The fire grew in the middle of the throne room and an angry child was glaring at the Olympians.

"Stop. These children have done us all a great service by saving Artemis," Hestia ordered, "They need to be rewarded, not interrogated."

Zeus and Athena reluctantly conceded and Artemis looked at her father, they seemed to be communicating in their minds.

"Zoe has fallen and I will need a new lieutenant," Artemis said as she broke eye contact with Zeus. "Thalia, daughter of Zeus and Bianca, daughter of Hades. Will you join the Hunt?" I was frozen, looking between the two girls, one my sister, the other my friend.

"Thalia..." I murmured. She looked back at me, there was a lump in my throat but I managed to get out what I wanted to say. "If you want to, do it. The prophecy will fall to Percy."

Thalia nodded and turned to Artemis. "I will join the Hunt, lady Artemis."

Bianca looked back at me and I smiled. "You will be able to fight and protect yourself and have a family."

"I also accept your offer, Mi'Lady."

The party was amazing.

Apollo offered to heal me which I hesitantly agreed to and the two new hunters were talking and getting to know each other. I was approached by many immortals who swallowed their pride and thanked me for my help. The two I remembered the most were Athena and Artemis.

As soon as I saw Athena making her way over to me I tried to get away but everyone parted for her like she was carrying Aegis.

"Seth, you may have gotten the other gods to warm up to you. But I know that you are hiding something and I will find out what that is. When I do I will do what is appropriate depending on what it is that I find. If I find that your secret is going against Olympus, nothing you can do will stop me from delivering justice." The goddess of wisdom declared before striding through the partygoers.

Artemis also threatened me with death. "You have courage and strength, for a boy. You stood up to Atlas and I must thank you for that. But, I see the way you look at one of my new lieutenants. Leave Thalia alone, boy. If I find out you have touched her in anyway after this talk you will find yourself a fur pelt hanging in my tent and my uncle will have one less child."

After countless threats I received and the party I shadow-travelled straight to Nico in cabin 11 and took him to the Underworld with me to continue his training. There was no sign of us ever being in the cabin.

Sorry if the last bit was rushed. I had to get it up today as I don't have a chance tomorrow. With my next chapter I will update this chapter to be better, for now though. This is what you're going to get.

EDIT: the last bit is finished. The next chapter could be up in 2-3 days if I get more reviews...
