And my plan is revealed. I may have possibly ruined this story depending on your view, but i think i did this well. Of course, i may be a little bias.
The Return Of A Titan - chapter 31
Percy sat down on the picnic table with Thalia and Grover standing behind him. Prometheus sat across from him. The Titan had come with a white flag and the demigods reluctantly didn't attack him. Though Percy wished he did. The weasel had shown him an image of Luke and Hermes, the first time they met. He felt shaky and clammy with sweat.
"Percy. What – what was that?" Thalia asked.
"Appalling, isn't it? The gods know what is to come, yet they do nothing. Even for their own children. I have a fellow Titan who sacrificed his life to save a child that wasn't even his. How long did it take for them to tell you your prophecy, Percy Jackson? Don't you think your father knows what will happen to you?"
"Percy, he's playing with your mind - trying to make you angry." Grover warned. Percy knew it was working.
"Do you really blame your friend Luke? What about you Percy? Will you be controlled by your fate? Kronos offers you a much better deal."
"I'll give you a deal. Tell Kronos to call off his attack, leave Luke Castellan's body and return to the pits of Tartarus. Then maybe I won't have to destroy him."
The empousa snarled but Prometheus sighed. "If you change your mind, I have a gift for you, from my friend." A Greek vase appeared on the table. It was about a metre high and thirty centimetres wide, glazed with black and white designs. The lid was fastened with a leather harness.
"That's not-" Thalia gasped.
"Yes, you recognise it. It is a friend's and he is currently out of action. So it is down to me to give it to you," Prometheus said moving the vase across the table. "I'm sure you know the legend of this pithos, the legend of Pandora's Box? My friend created this, containing the monster's that haunt mankind. Pandora opened this jar and released them all – fear, death, hunger, sickness."
"Don't forget me." The empousa purred.
"Indeed, the first empousa was also trapped in this jar, released by Pandora. Pandora was blamed for being curious and opening this jar. The legend goes that Zeus created this jar to tempt Pandora and get revenge on my family and I, but that is not what happened. The true story is that my friend created this jar to get revenge on the gods for them betraying him, he – annoying – helped them in the Titanomachy and was the one that destroyed Kronos, not Zeus. The gods wiped him out of all legends and sent him to Tartarus, now he is back and helping us. Wanting revenge for what the gods have done. He offers you Pandora's pithos, in the sense that when you release the last spirit inside we will cease the attack. Do you know what the last spirit is, Perseus?"
"Hope," Percy muttered.
"Correct. Give up Elpis and Kronos will know that you surrender and will be lenient. He will spare the survivors."
"I don't want it," Percy growled.
"Too late," Prometheus stood. "The gift is given. It cannot be taken back." The empousa came forward with the Hyperborean giant that carried the white flag. "We are leaving." Ethan, Prometheus and the two monsters turned and started walking.
"Wait," Percy said he needed to know one thing. "Who is the friend you kept mentioning?"
Prometheus froze and spoke without turning around. "Your father would be the best person to answer that. After all, Poseidon's life was saved by my friend." Ethan gave one hateful look to Percy then left followed the Titan.
Percy thought about what he had learned as he found a bed and collapsed into it, finding himself in Medusa's Lair.
Seth woke up with a splitting headache and gripped his head as images flashed through his mind. Several dracaenae stood in the room guarding the door and they bowed as soon as they noticed Seth was up.
"My Lord, the monsterssss are waiting for your command." One of them hissed. He tried to think past the confusing images.
"Do nothing at the moment."
"Yessss, my Lord."
"And stop calling me that." Seth muttered. "Take me to Kronos." The dracaenae nodded stiffly and marched out the room with Seth behind.
"The army will be overjoyed to hear of your return and the godsssss will ssssoon be crussshed." The dracaenae said and every single monster Seth passed bowed to him, the Half-Bloods looked at his in confusion. Soon they entered a room where a golden throne sat between the drink dispenser and the pretzel warmer. Kronos lounged in the seat with his scythe across his lap. Ethan was in the room and looked like he had just finished talking to Kronos.
The Titan sat up when Seth entered and dismissed every being in the room, the doors shut and the room turned into silence as Kronos inspected Seth. "You should retake your actual form, Seth." Kronos said.
Seth looked confused for a moment then shut his eyes and concentrated. His form gradually changed and he was bathed in a golden light. His hair lightened slightly to a nearly black-brown and his skin changed to have a golden tan. His face became sharper and harsher, looking slightly cruel in the light and a cruel smile that resembled Kronos' formed. He grew in height until he was at least seven feet tall. His eyes glowed harshly, but weren't cruel. From the inside out gold raced from the pupil until his eyes were completely gold with a red, almost reptilian pupil. He stood proudly and his eyes flickered about inspecting everything around him in a new light. His right eye healed, but the scar stayed. His senses were improved and were as good as a wolf's. He could smell the blood from the Half-Bloods' wounds. His scar stayed though and showed up on his tanned face. He smiled and the scar stretched, he cracked his neck and uttered a laugh.
"Name one of my grandsons in this army," Kronos said as he leaned forward in interest.
"Scott," Seth replied.
"And who are you?" Kronos asked as a smile stretched across his face.
"I am Theron, the Titan of Monsters, Elements, Hunting and Fate and the Ruler of The Underworld. Lord of Monsters, Wielder of the Elements, Hunter of the Titans and Helper of Fate." Seth's smile grew. "I am the eldest child of Kronos and Rhea."
Kronos leaned back satisfied. "I think Hecate did her job well, son."
"I agree, father." Theron said and looked at Kronos' right. A throne grew out of the ground. It was golden with designs of the Elements and images of monsters.
"Let's give the Half-Bloods something to think about," He raised his voice. "Release our little surprise. Move the army into Central Park, I think I shall reveal myself to the demigods, it is time they know the truth behind the lie my siblings have fed to them. And for our eavesdropper, Perseus," he sneered. "You don't know who I am, do you? As Prometheus said, ask your father, he does owe me after all." He waved his hand and Percy felt like his body was on fire.
He woke up feeling like he was being burnt alive.
