SPOTTED: Samantha Black getting cozy with ex hunk Jason Trent on the dance floor. Is there trouble in paradise for Dramantha?

"Do people really call us Dramantha?" Sam asked Ginny over the phone as she read the Witch Weekly article.

"Yeah, I just shorten it to Drama. So…What is going on with you a Trent?"

Sam rolled her eyes pouring herself a cup of coffee. Drake was still sleeping, apparently the non stop work had finally gotten to him, she made a mental note to bring up some breakfast, maybe get him to actually relax for a change.

"Gin I can promise you there is absolutely nothing going on with Jason and I. We were at a cast party and we were doing a dance from the show. It was two friends having fun."

"If you say so. I just know that you really liked JT back in the day."

"You're right, but that's over. Plus there's Draco."

"Yes, your fake relationship, real engagement, and completely fucked up, convoluted emotional state of being. Just ask yourself if there wasn't a contract holding you to him. Would you stay with Malfoy, or would you have gone home with Trent already?"

There was talking on the other line, "Listen Sami I gotta go. We'll talk later."

And she hung up the phone leaving Sam to ponder her question… was it true that if there wasn't a contract she would have cheated on Draco by now?

And as if it had been planned in a movie Draco walked into the kitchen all silk pajama pants, perfect abs and tasseled hair. Sam liked him best in the morning when he was still half a sleep and the stress of the day hadn't quite settled in yet.

"Good morning!" Sam said with a smile. He was really sweet in the morning too. He came up wrapped his arms around her waist and placed his head on her shoulder kissing her cheek before he replied.

"Morning. Is that coffee for me?"

"It can be. I haven't put anything in it yet." Draco drank his coffee black. It grossed Samantha out but at least it guaranteed that he would never steal her coffee from her.

"Brilliant." He said, scooping the mug up from the counter and moving towards the table to sit.

Sam poured herself a cup and proceeding to add unhealthy amounts of cream and sugar.

"So how was last night? Did you have fun?"

Sam caught sight of the magazine cover that speculated on exactly how much fun she had. "It was a party, you know, nothing special."

She tried to discreetly move the magazine off the table, but discrete had never been Samantha's style.

"What are you doing?" Draco asked in a bored tone. Catching sight of Sam's awkward attempt to hide the magazine.

"Nothing" Sam said all too quickly.

Draco smirked paying more attention to Samantha now and to the magazine she held in her hand.

"You know Samantha, with a poker face like that it's a wonder you were in detention more in school. Let me see it."

Sam scoffed, she was only jumpy because she was tired and freakin' Ginny went and put ridiculous notions about Jason in her head. She took a deep breath and put a smile on her face.

"I guess I'm losing my touch. Its just a bunch of nonsense some journalist hack wrote up. Embarrassingly enough I love my gossip." She said with a shake of her head.

"What is on the agenda for today? I was thinking about going to London to see the lights, maybe get a hot chocolate and dinner at Café Luxe or you know, we could stay here, make our own fun…"

"That sounds nice Samantha but I have to go into the office." He looked down at his watch, "I'm actually running late." He got up from the table and made to leave the kitchen.

"But it's Sunday." Sam tried half heartedly.

He turned around and kissed her on the cheek. "Doesn't mean the office stops. Try not to get to caught up in that gossip rag. Have fun at the lights."

Sam stood in the empty kitchen then looked down at the magazine cover.

The big bold letters read Trouble in paradise? "Oh, shut up?"

Draco had a problem. He knew he did. Everything had been going so well and he was seriously contemplating his proposal. Then all the damn problems started happening with his company and Sam started work on her show and before he knew it weeks had gone by without them having a moment to spend together.

Let's not forget that Jason bleeding Trent had to show up to save her show and now they are best mates and getting cozy on the dance floor.

He looked down at the gossip rag that was on his desk. He had far too much to deal with and his mother sends him this.

He knew nothing happened, obviously the intentions were platonic otherwise the contract spell would have made damn sure he was aware of something going on last night. But even so, there was a part of him, deep in the back of his mind that was suddenly very insecure about his stance with Samantha. Yes the contract kept her binded to him, but would she prefer to be with someone else?

Draco shook his head trying to clear it of unwanted thoughts. Mostly images of Samantha and that twit on the dance floor.

What was he doing, he's Draco Malfoy for Godric's sake, and he's worrying about some American buffoon.

Samantha would have your head if she knew you said that.

He knew he was being irrational, he knew that. He just didn't care.

"Merlin help me!" he said out loud.

He had to change something. If he continued the way he was going he'd end up regretting it.

"I have enough of those."
