Nico Crashes A Party - chapter 36

When Theron joined the battle it was already underway. The defenders of Olympus were squashed up against the building and the Titan Army loosely ringed the building. The army parted for Theron as he stalked through towards his father, his spear-trident hybrid weapon ThýellaO̱raiti̱, or StormWraith held in his right hand and a shield he had scavenged from a dead half-blood in his left hand. Monsters and half-bloods bowed to him as they moved out of his way.

Kronos and his vanguard led the army, between them and the defenders stood a single centaur. Theron's eyes narrowed as he identified the centaur that was aiming an arrow at Kronos' face quickly. White horse's ass, wielding a bow and avoiding his swords.

"Ah." Kronos said when Theron stopped beside him. "I was wondering where you were. The battle started a while ago, where were you?"

"Talking to your grandsons, did you know Peter died in this battle?" Theron asked angrily.

"Yes, I was going to let them tell you." Kronos said.

"He was my oldest child and you didn't think to tell me he had died?" Theron bellowed.

"You may be my son," Kronos' eyes narrowed. "But that does not give you permission to yell at me."

"I made them immortal so I could see all of them again, father. Now I come back to find out one of them had died hours before I saw them!"

"Where are they, Theron?"

"I will not let them fight anymore. They are fleeing to the DireWolf Pack," Theron said then turned to look at the centaur. "Chiron, I had wanted to meet you originally under a flag of truce. But now you will not live through today."

The doors of the Empire State Building opened and three half-bloods came out. Percy quickly looked over the situation.

"Chiron…" Annabeth said when she saw the centaur. Chiron acted like he didn't hear. Kronos' eyes flared gold and Percy, Thalia, Annabeth and Grover became stuck in time.

"Step aside, little son," Kronos growled at Chiron.

"I'm afraid I can't do that," Chiron's tone was steely calm.

"Chiron!" Annabeth cried as rage clouded Theron's judgement and he charged. "Look out!"

Chiron released the arrow and it lodged in the middle of the Titan's forehead. His eyes flared red and he scowled at his half-brother. "I usually give three chances before I kill someone. But you killed my son, and that is enough to make me want to kill you." The arrow looked like a unicorn's horn. Theron cocked his head at the centaur when he reached for another arrow to find his quiver empty. Chiron dropped his bow and drew his sword.

Kronos chuckled and took a step forward so he stood beside his son. "Stop playing with him, Theron. He's a teacher, not a hero."

"Luke was a hero. He was a good one, until you corrupted him." Chiron said as his horse half skittered nervously.

"Fool!" Kronos bellowed. "You filled his head with empty promises. You said the gods cared about me!"

"Me," Chiron pointed out. "You said me."

Kronos looked confused and Chiron struck. It would have been a good ploy, but Theron was there in an instant to knock aside Chiron's blade as Kronos stumbled back. Theron knocked aside Chiron's sword and shoved him with his shield, Chiron flew back only to slam into a barrier and fall to the floor. Theron laughed as he approached the fallen centaur, the scar over his right eye rippled. The demigods moved to try to help Chiron but Theron barely spared them a glance as he waved his hand and a wall of fire formed, stopping them from approaching. Chiron tried to get up but fell back down, his hand slowly reached for his sword.

Theron leaned over Chiron and looked at the centaur. "This is for my son." Theron reached down to grab Chiron's throat and the centaur made his move. It happened in the blink of an eye, one moment Chiron was lying on the floor, the next Theron was stumbling back with a sword through his chest.

"You will not destroy Olympus." Chiron said. Theron pulled the sword out of his chest and golden ichor fell like a waterfall.

"Well done, Chiron. But you seem to be forgetting something," Theron growled. "I am a Titan!" He yelled and a wave of pure force erupted from him, slamming into the centaur. Chiron flew back and smashed into a building with enough power to break the wall so it crumbled on top of him.

Theron stood tall despite the two injuries Chiron had inflicted on him as Annabeth wailed, "No!" Kronos stopped the freezing spell and the three demigods ran to Chiron. Theron was in shock. Despite Chiron killing Peter, when he was posing as Seth he had come to like the old centaur. Kronos laughed along with his army, the only one that didn't was Theron. The son of Kronos was too busy trying to check that the centaur was still alive. "Sorry," He said in Chiron's head and using his power over monsters gave the trainer of Heroes a burst of strength.

"You!" Annabeth turned to Kronos, but talked to Luke. "To think that I – that I thought -" She drew her knife and Kronos smiled slightly.

"Annabeth, don't," Percy tried to grab her, but she shook him off. She attacked Kronos and his smiled faded, Theron fell back to the vanguard and inspected his chest. Annabeth struck his collarbone between the straps of his armour and the blade bounced off. Annabeth clutched her arm to her chest and doubled over. Kronos took the advantage and swung his Scythe. Theron jumped between them and blocked the blow with his shield and Kronos gritted his teeth as his son stood there. Percy quickly grabbed her and pulled her away from the two Titans.

"Son," Kronos growled. "Move aside."

"No," Theron said defiantly. "Think about Luke. What did he want?" Kronos scowled and glared at the younger Titan. "Exactly, he wanted her alive after this war, didn't he? That was the only thing he asked, except that you tear down Olympus."

"She attacked me, it was in defence." Kronos growled.

"I hate you!" Annabeth cried as Percy tried to stop her fighting Kronos.

"I have to fight him, Annabeth. This is my fight." Percy said carefully.

"It's my fight too, Percy!"

"I can see why Luke wanted to spare you," Kronos said as Theron moved out of the way. "Unfortunately, that won't be possible." He raised his Scythe as his eyes flared gold, Theron found himself frozen and forced to watch.

"Arrooo!" A dog's howl sounded from the back of the Titan's army.

"It's just a hellhound," Theron said to Kronos who had released him from the time spell once he heard the howl.

"Mrs. O'Leary?" Percy called. The Titan's army moved uneasily, and then began to part, clearing a path down the centre of Fifth Avenue. Standing at the end of the block was a hellhound and a small figure in black armour that Theron immediately recognised.

"Nico?" Percy asked.

"Rowwf!" Mrs. O'Leary bounded down the path and Nico strode forward. The army moved away from the son of Hades.

"Got your message, is it too late to join the party?"

"Son of Hades," Kronos spat, "Do you love death so much that you wish to experience it?"

"Your death would be great for me."

Theron snickered as Kronos growled. "I'm immortal, you fool. I have escaped Tartarus. You have no business here, and no chance to live."

"Kronos," Theron said sharply.

"I don't agree," Nico grinned as he drew his sword. The ground rumbled and cracked as skeletal hands grasped the sides of the fissure. Thousands of the dead rose into the world of the living and the Titan Army started to back up.

"Hold your ground!" Kronos ordered, "The dead are no match for us!"

"That's offensive, father," Theron frowned. The shadows thickened and the temperature plummeted. He cursed and gestured to Ethan, "Give me some Ambrosia, now." The son of Nemesis quickly threw the Titan an entire bag which he immediately ate. A war horn sounded, cutting through all noise in the area, the dead soldiers formed up ranks as an enormous chariot roared down Fifth Avenue. Theron closed his eyes and concentrated as the chariot stopped next to Nico. The ground bubbled and frothed as another chariot rose out of it. It was made out of a black metal called Ancient Othryian Iron and four skeletal Pegasi pulled it. One was a familiar one connected out of fire called Kolasi, another was connected with water and was called Dini, one was earth and called Petra, and the last one was solidified air and called Aera. The chariot was decorated with golden swirls and the front was pointed, designed like a Hydra head. Theron quickly pulled himself into it after he checked that the Ambrosia had healed him. The chariot next to Nico was inlaid with obsidian and gold, the horses were living shadows. Hades, Demeter, and Persephone stood in it and the former two stared at Theron in slight apprehension. Hades wore glistening black armour and a blood red cloak flowed behind him. The Helm of Darkness sat on his oily head and discharged pure fear. Demeter wore light Greek armour that was the colour of wheat. Persephone was garbed in grass green light Greek armour and black swirls decorated the bronze.

"Hello, father, you're looking… young," Hades said coldly and Theron snickered quietly.

"Hades. I hope you and the goddesses have come to pledge your allegiance to us." Kronos growled.

"I'm afraid not. My son persuaded me that I need to prioritize my enemies. Yes, I dislike upstart demigods, but it would not benefit me if Olympus were to fall. As much as I hate to admit it, I would miss bickering with my siblings. And if there is only one thing we agree on - it is that you were a terrible father."

"True," Demeter muttered. "No appreciation of agriculture at all."

"Mother!" Persephone cried.

"I disagree," Theron said as he looked at his siblings. "With both of you, Kronos - once you get to know him – is a good father; he's only killed me a few dozen times when he's gotten annoyed with me. And he can be an excellent farmer when pushed." Kronos glared at the younger Titan as Hades drew his sword.

"Now fight me! For today the House of Hades will forever more be called the saviours of Olympus!"

"I don't have time for this," Kronos snarled and whacked the ground with his Scythe. A crack spread around, circling the Empire State Building. A wall of force shimmered into existence along the crack, separating Percy and his friends along with Kronos' vanguard from most of the two armies. The gods and Theron stood the other side beside their respective army.

"What's he doing?" Percy asked.

"Sealing us in, he's breaking the magic barriers around Manhattan, cutting off just the building… and us."

Car engines quickly hummed into life and the civilians woke up, slowly looking around. Hundreds of car doors opened. Theron hesitated as he looked around at all the mortals. Atlas would think that they were plenty of lovely ladies around, Kronos would immediately try to get rid of them, but all Theron felt was dread. He had tried to minimize the casualties as much as possible and now there were hundreds of mortals in the way.

Hades took advantage of Theron's distraction and roared, "Attack!" Whilst flicking the reins to his skeleton horses and sending them galloping towards him. Kronos sent the giants from his vanguard to delay Percy and his three friends then ordered Ethan to follow him. As Hades charged Demeter turned an entire column of giants into a wheat field and Persephone turned the monsters' weapons into sunflowers. Theron summoned his spear and trident hybrid weapon StormWraith and readied it pointing at Hades. The two immortals clashed as Kronos headed into the Empire State Building.

Over the last two chapters you have seen two sides to the Titans, the one that cares for family and the one that is ruthless in war.

Seth's (or should i just call him Theron)relationship poll:

Styx wins!

Should i go straight into HOO or do a story (prequel) about Theron being born up to the end of the Titanomachy? I need to know by the end of this story so i can start writing immediately.

I have started my Percy Jackson Teen Wolf xover so if you could just take a look at it if you are interested in that (i need one more review for it then i will update again).
