AN/ Oh my word, this story has been on a ridiculously long hiatus, and I can't apologise enough. However, I will now be updating regularly.

This chapter is basically just for myself, to get back into the flow of the story, but I definitely enjoyed exploring a little more of Loki!

Please, remember to give any reviews, as feedback is one thing that definitely helps my story develop!

Thanks for reading! xo

Thor all but dragged Loki and Geira along to the sun room, chattering nonsense the whole way. Stories of battles and of different realms, all of which Loki had heard many times before. Loki simply smiled and indulged in his bear like brothers tales. Geira could not help the smile that spread across her face as she saw the two brothers finally at peace. Thor led them to the large doors of the sun room. They were huge, tall and their golden colour glinted in the light that spilled from the windows. Geira took a slow breath, preparing herself for whoever could be behind the large ornate doors.

Thor pushed the door open, before stepping back and stretching his arm out, offering Geira and Loki to pass through the door first. Geira glanced at Thor with a small polite smile in appreciation, then her eyes darted back to Loki, waiting for his reaction, he smoothed his raven black hair and gently took Geira's hand, she could tell that he was nervous by the small squeezes he would give her hand. Hand in hand, the pair entered the beautiful room, Geira was fascinated, she tried to take in as much of the glorious room as she could. She noted the large patterned windows, adorned with gold and red stained glass. Her eyes widened as she realised just how high up this beautiful room was, she gazed out the window, from here she could see all of Asgard, from the market stalls to the tranquil waters beyond the city limits.

"What do you think, my dear?" Loki asked quietly, pulling Geira from her daze. Geira blushed violently and smiled.

"It is breathtaking Loki." She looked up at her prince, her love for Loki clouded her thoughts of the grand room, she leaned closer to him and squeezed his slender elegant hand.

"You seemed to rather like this room, little one!" Thor's voice boomed and echoed in the glass room, Geira jumped and darted her eyes towards Thor. She had completely forgotten his presence, this too made the red mist stream over her skin. Thor laughed and patted Geira's shoulder before striding past her to take a seat in a luxurious red suede chair. "Do join me, love birds." Thor said sweetly. Loki threw his brother a rather sinister glare, warning Thor not to make Geira uncomfortable.

Loki led Geira by the hand to a very beautiful plush red suede two seater, he sat down with perfect elegance and grace, and gently tugged Geira's small hand. She obliged him and sat down beside him, she was close, but not close enough for Loki. He slid his arm around her small waist and pulled her against his side, keeping her there, keeping her safe. He did not understand his constant need to protect her. They were in the palace, no one could harm her here, and the prince knew this, but something inside him was determine that nothing would ever harm his love.

"Thor.." Geira spoke quietly, "How have you been? Do you have any news from Midgard, and of Jane?" She had decided to make conversation herself, so there was no pressure on her fragile Loki. Thor's face lit up, his mouth curling at the edges to reveal a dazzling smile.

"Jane is well, little one!" he boomed, "She is furthering her research. I do hope that she may join me here, in Asgard very soon." Thor still had the huge smile on his face, Geira could not help but smile back, just as bug. Thor's love for Jane was so evident every time he spoke or even thought of her. It gave Geira hope, that possibly, she may find that love and happiness, with the raven haired man sitting by her side.

Loki cleared his throat and smiled at his brother, "I do hope you treat her with all the respect she deserves, brother." As Loki spoke, he could not help but glance to Geira, gauging her reaction, but before the words could settle, Thor interrupted Loki's thoughts.

"Ah of course! I could ask for better than Jane, she is truly a remarkable woman!" Thor boasted proudly. Love filling his words. "Just as you must treat this little one!" Thor added with a mischievous smile on his face. Loki's body tensed and he gave Thor a look that could kill. Thor simply laughed back at Loki's shocked and angry expression.

"Thor.." Loki's voice was low and intimidating. Geira felt a wave of panic wash over her, she could feel Loki tensed and she knew he was not very pleased with his brothers comment. She squeezed his hand, attempting to reassure him that everything was ok. Thor was still chuckling at Loki, who was now clenching his jaw to try and control his rage.

Without warning, Loki quickly stood up, letting go of Geira's hand. He quickly closed the space between himself and the large bear like man that was his brother. Thor furrowed his brow and stood up to meet Loki face to face. Geira closed her eyes tightly, waiting for one of the men to snap. She heard a loud pat and opened her eyes to see Thor with his hand on Loki's should, speaking quietly to him. Geira tried to hear these words but could not. She saw Loki's tall frame slowly begin to relax once more. Geira was intrigued, what could Thor possibly have said or done to calm the quick tempered prince down?

After a few moments and more whispered words, Loki turned to Geira, his eyes soft and calm once more, his hand stretched out to her. Hesitantly Geira took his hand, lacing their fingers together.

"I am sorry, my sweet. My temper got the better of me, please, pray forgive me." His voice was soft and sincere, longing for Geira's acceptance. The small girl smiled up at her prince. "There is no need for apologies, dear Loki. But, if you must hear it, You are forgiven." Loki smiled and leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss on Geira cheek. Glancing over to Thor, Geira smiled and nodded her head, a silent thank you for his calming influence. The trio continued in the sun room for the rest of Loki's hour, before Halvdan and Kalle became restless.

"Don't worry, dear friends!" Loki spoke louder, he stood up and looked towards the door. "I must take my leave now, you may stay a while with my brother if you would prefer, Geira." He smiled at his love, she knew he was genuine in his offer, but she could not bare let him return to that cell alone. Geira shook her head and stood to join Loki. Thor smiled at the pair as they walked towards the exit, "Take care of him, Geira." Thor spoke just loud enough for his request to be heard. Loki and Geira turned, she smiled and gave Thor a graceful little wave, while Loki bowed his head. "I hope to see you very soon, Brother!" Thor said happily. "And I you!" Loki replied, and with that Loki returned to his cell with Geira by his side.

They settled on Loki's small bed, Geira was mindlessly flicking through pages of a book while Loki twisted a small piece of her pale hair around his finger.

"Thank you, Geira." He said quietly. "I would never be at this point if it were not for you." Loki wrapped his arms around Geira and buried his face in her long hair. Geira simply smiled and set her book on the little chest by the bed, she snuggled back against her vulnerable prince. She knew that no words were needed in this delicate moment, instead, she pulled the blanket around them, letting Loki give in to his exhaustion. He fell asleep quickly, giving Geira time to evaluate everything that had happened during her time with this man. She smiled and traced little circles on Loki's wrist, wondering what the next day would hold for them both.
