AUTHOR'S NOTE:

Finally! Long reviews! Haha. Hurrah! I'm so happy that I got you guys confused. That's what I aimed for. LOL. Anyways, to those who asked if I had writer's block: No, I didn't have writer's block at the moment. Haha. But I think the seventh chapter was too short sooooooooooo...here's an update! Yeay! Enjoy reading :D

"Fainted? ME?" I asked for the nth time.

And for the nth time, Kairi nodded.

We were discussing the events over and over - the 'events' meaning what he saw happened. Apparently, he saw me walking from the dormitory towards the parking lot around four 'o clock in the afternoon. And because he had something to tell me, he decided to follow me there. An average walk from the dorm to the parking lot would approximately take five minutes or so. As he crossed the intersection of the pathways from the school and the dorm, Kuukai called him, making him instantly look away from my direction. When he looked back, I was gone. And that was when he ran to my car and saw me lying limp on the floor.

Our discusion ended in awkward silence. Nobody dared to speak for it would only - probably - confuse us more. For a few minutes, Kairi fidgeted and then finally faced me. But before he could even open his mouth, I turned my back to him and ran back to my room.

I have a very bad feeling about this.

Riiiiiiiinnnnnnnngggggggggggggg~ Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnggggggggggg~

My phone rang just in time I stepped inside my room.

"What?" I snapped.

[What are you mad at, Blue Star?]

"Leave me alone, asshole," I growled.

The bastard chuckled. [Ooohhh~ Feisty.]

I would've probably spat at him if we were talking face to face. His disgusting attitude utterly grossed me out. Damn that guy for being so cocky!

"I don't have to waste my time on you," I spat and hung up.

I paced in my mini-receiving area and froze midstep as the sliding door of my balcony suddenly opened and in came a very perverted cat. "Actually, you could waste your time on me now," he purred stressing the 'on me' part.

My foot, suspended in the air, dropped down with a heavy, surprised thud. What the bloody hell was he doing in here, AGAIN?

I shot him my deadliest glare but the bastard remained unfazed by my hostility. He flashed me a snaky grin, the one her crazy fangirls thought hot. But I denied myself the crazy feeling of giddiness. Ikuto advanced forward, leisurely taking scary slow steps toward me. I found myself backing away. Then, I felt the cold edge of the marble table behind me, announcing that I had nowhere to go now. The blue-haired asshole continued his terrifying approach and grinned devilishly to himself as he saw I didn't have any escape now.

My pulse quickened as I helplessly glanced around, thinking of the fastest possible escape from my OWN room. But then he scared the hell out of me when he suddenly broke away from his slow, deliberate scare-show and took three swift steps and snaked his arm around my waist. My lips parted as I gasped, caught off-guard by this agonizingly beautiful bastard of a man. His gaze held me captivated in a split-second, disabling my entire thinking system. He pulled me closer, making me hitch a breath as our bodies almost melted into one another.

I tried to divert my eyes away from his but I was helplessly, shamefully unable to. Since when did I feel so powerless over a man? I mentally slapped myself. I refused to believe that I had no power over this guy. For all I knew, he was just a bold lad testing the waters. The intensity of his stare captured me for a short, tortured moment and just when I thought I was finally able to shake off his spell-

He blew his breath towards me as he leaned much, much, much closer to my face. He pretty much still smelled the same - peppermint and all. I tried to snatch away my remaining consciousness, feeling like a total wazzack for letting this go too far.

"Something wrong, my sweet?" he purred at my ear, causing all hairs on my nape to stand up.

I was unable to speak, the memory of his intense eyes still held me firm in place. My hand found its way to his lean arms, immediately zapping me with its intense heat.

Why was he so hot - literally?

"Oh, just snog her already, will you?"

I jolted at the sudden words directed at us but Ikuto made no move to let me go. He glared at the direction of my door where the female voice came from and I swore I heard a guttural growl erupt deep within him.

"Bog off, Utau," he snarled.

That was the time when I glanced at the doorway and found a beautiful blonde leaning on the hinge. She twirled one of her pigtails in her finger as she eyed us mischievously.

"Hey there, Amu," she greeted me with a 100-megawatt superstar smile.

I grew more awkward as I remembered her. She was one of those Rima haters. The one so fond of me. Why was she here again?

Ikuto loosened his death grip on me as he focused more on Utau, making it possible for me to slip away from his antsy hands. To my relief, he walked towards the door, hopefully to get out of my room. Utau grinned at him innocently but I took it that he wasn't pleased with her initial interruption.

"Well, aren't you going to nick a kiss or something?" the blonde asked Ikuto.

The blue-haired demon looked back at me and then glared at Utau, drilling his onyx eyes on her. "Shut it, dear sister," he snarled.

His words were the complete contrast of sweet and hateful. And I pondered on the thought that he'd called her 'sister'.

The demon's eyes found me, automatically making my entire brain go off again. He stared at me with such intensity that I almost found myself quivering under his dreadful dark eyes. Ikuto reached up, carressing my cheek with gentleness I didn't know he had.

"Be careful, you," he said softly.

It wasn't a question, but I felt compelled to answer. So I nodded. And with a quick kiss on my forehead, he was gone.

"Tell me again what happened," Nadeshiko asked with the excitement of a 3-year-old child. She plumped on my bed, hugging a navy blue throw pillow to her chest.

I sighed and retold her how Ikuto came barging in and suddenly walked the bloody hell out. Her eyes gleamed as she listened attentively-so at my storytelling. I didn't know what came over me but I suddenly had the urge to tell it to someone. And Nadeshiko was the perfect person for it.

"Oh my gosh, he soooooo likes you, Amu-chan. I've never heard Ikuto-kun personally coming here just to see a girl,"

I shook my head. "But he came here a few days ago. Said he was looking for his sister,"

Nadeshiko blatantly laughed her head off. "That has got to be the silliest excuse I have ever heard from that person," she laughed again.

I had to raise an eyebrow at her. Why was she so insistent in concluding that that demon - that shamelessly, perverted devil cat liked me. Did his consistent throwing of attention at me already conclude that he liked me so? Certainly not.

Though, to my utter disgust, Nadeshiko threw her head again for a laugh like she already taped the pieces together and now I was too slow to even get it. Crazy girl.

She shook her head at my unbelieving expression. The girl probably assumed she was completely correct at her silly conclusion.

"Oh, just cut it, Nadeshiko. That is the siliest thing I have ever heard,"

But she dismissed what I said with a knowing laugh and a wave of her delicate hand.

I forced myself not to sneeze, though the cold from the near-winter wind chilled me to the bone. It had only been a few days after my failed mission to go home that the wind had started to get chilly. Time really did fly fast.

Students were suddenly rushing to the dorms, afraid that they won't make it to curfew. I raised an indifferent eyebrow at them and continued to walk to the opposite direction. Why, I didn't really care for the stupid curfew. I had too many things at hand to be done tonight.

My handkerchief dropped on the cement and I carefully bent down to pick it up. Just as I straightened up to walk again, a stupidly careless girl bumped my shoulder and caused me to wobble, almost falling down on the rough cement if not for the cool, strong hands that held me upright.

"Woah, woah. Easy now, Amu-chan," a very familiar, comforting voice said.

I glanced behind me and met warm, enchanting topaz eyes. "Uhhh...t-thanks," I said as I stood up.

He flashed me a kind smile, making me feel strangely elated. I expected him to let me go, but his hands never left my shoulders and our eyes seemed to be glued.

"What are you doing out here so late?" he asked, his sweet, hot breath forming a light fog in front of me as he spoke.

"I...uh, I just felt like I wanted fresh air," I said and took the opportunity to take his hands off me and face him, "Listen, Nagi, about Nadeshiko," I started.

Nagihiko's beautifully angelic face contorted to something painful like I just told him I love him but stabbed him with a knife right away. I felt strangely guilty that I even brought his sister up. What the hell was I thinking?

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought that up. I didn't mean to pry," I babbled, afraid that I said too much but Nagihiko just shook his head like I was being foolish. Then, he flashed me that sexy smirk he thought goofy.

I grabbed his arm, making him abruptly drop his smirk. "I'm serious, Nagi. I'm really, very sorry. People think I'm partially to blame for what happened to her - maybe I am. But, trust me, I didn't mean for it to be that way,"

"I know that, Amu-chan. Don't blame yourself. It wasn't anyone's fault but mine," he said grimly, his gleaming eyes suddenly turning darker.

I violently shook my head. It wasn't his fault at all. Why should he put himself to this?

"I don't think you're at fault either. Could you not-"

Soft, warm lips touched mine and my eyes grew wider as I realized what happened. Nagihiko cut me short by an unexpected kiss. I felt his arms snake around my waist as he pulled me closer, claiming my lips all for himself. My mind short-circuited, my knees almost gave in - and I found myself uncharacteristically responding to his gentle kiss.

I absent-mindedly wrapped my arms around his neck, hanging on for dear life. My fingers tousled his velvety hair, purple strands entangled through my little fingers. Nagi clutched me tighter and suddenly I felt my back against a tree and I know now this was anything but an accident.

Nagihiko broke away, enabling me to breath if only for seconds and again he was crushing his lips to mine, his gentleness slowly transforming into hungry passion. I rested my hands on his shoulders, feeling his lean muscles against his thin hoody. He gripped my waist, sending me sweet tingles and an ecstatic sigh escaped from me.

Finally, with all our passion drained together, we broke away, puffs of warm air filling the space between us. Nagihiko smiled at me as I caught my breath. And I can't help but to smile back.
