Author's Note: Well I saw the new DBZ movies and decided I wanted to include these beautiful little pieces in this fic, so in other words I am changing stuff around. They will not be super prominent in it, but I rather want to work it in some where at the end. Just to add it in for the fact about what king Kai said about the SSG and his role as guardian and such. Do not worry it will fit in. Yes, they still have super saiyan 4 mode. Truth is it is my favorite level form. It really brings out the primal saiyan mojo in Goku. It makes him seem as lethal as he should. Any who, I am so going to make this even more appealing than it already is. Not only am I UPGRADING the story to a completely new level of Epic goodness, yeah, you all know what that means! I am putting more meat in this thin excuse for a Fan-wich and super-sizing it. (Sorry Vegetarians) I am also adding NEW CHAPTERS and REFINED dialogue. I thought the Slash was okay, but Meh, who knows. All I can say is IT WILL BE BETTER!
(^w^)/ Chapter 1: Starting With the Saiyan \(^w^)
Flying over West City toward Capsule Corp., hoping Bulma could help him out with a new home. Looking on at the busy metropolis and its many citizens, Goku thought about what he could do to fill his now empty life. He had never been alone, no really anyway, and the thought was a bit disheartening. It wasn't his fault he could not age the way Chichi wanted him to or that the world had needed him on more then one occasion. He had to protect their family and friends heck the planet itself!
Landing in his long-time friend's yard, Goku walked to the large dome building and rang the doorbell. He was surprised to find Yamcha answering the door in nothing but sleep pants and slippers.
"Oh, hey Goku, how's it been going buddy?" The older Z-fighter Questioned in pleasant surprise.
"Not really sure, Chichi left me." Goku confided, looking at the ground dejectedly.
"Whoa, that's heavy, come on in, Bulma should be down in a minute." The scarred invited sympathetically.
"Thanks Yamcha, what are you doing here anyway?"
"You know, me and Bulma hooked up again, we had been on and off since Vegeta went solo, we sort of just became a more stable thing." He elaborated bashfully.
Goku had known Vegeta and Bulma called it quits with their relationship when Bulma had decided she was holding the saiyan prince back with her own 'human' mortality. Chichi had called it age envy, but Goku knew how Bulma was. She might be bossy and sometimes annoying, but she had a big heart and was generally a good person. The two might not be a couple any more, but they were still (in their weird way) friends. Bulma still cared About Vegeta's well being and he was still very protective of her. Vegeta still even lived at Capsule Corporation doing whatever he had done when they were together, except maybe the intimate part, Goku did not want to think about that.
Shaking the thought from his head, he looked up just in time to see Bulma enter the kitchen. Like always she was dressed for success, makeup done perfectly. Smiling at the familiar sight, Goku was happy to see something' never changed.
"Hey Goku, what's up, how's it going?" Bulma greeted in her usual perky manner.
"I don't really known, Chichi divorced me." Goku murmured honestly; he disliked saying the word each time he had to repeat them.
"What…when?!" She shouted her coffee mug dropped to rush over to her childhood friend.
"I didn't even know, but she had the divorce finalized today. I even met her new husband, I think?" Goku chuckled a bit humorlessly. "He seemed like a nice guy."
"A nice guy; come on Goku, he stole your wife from you. How is he a nice guy?" Bulma demanded angrily.
"She said, she wanted someone more her pace, who can age with her in this part of her life." He sighed heavily.
Bulma was just about to give her opinion on how much bullshit it was, when Vegeta walked into the room; not expecting to see the other saiyan in his home, Vegeta froze midway in to stare at the unexpected guest.
"Morning Geta!" Goku perked up brightly.
"What are you doing here Kakarot, don't you have your own house and woman to bother?" Vegeta snarked continuing his trek for his morning cup of juice.
"Actually no, he doesn't you insensitive jerk. Chichi's lost her sanity and left him. Bulma yelled in retaliation.
"The woman dare do what?" The saiyan prince demanded.
"She left him for another man. Some one more her 'pace'." She quoted with her fingers. "She didn't even have the decency to tell him before hand , she just dumped it all on him this morning."
"Kakarot, is this true?" Vegeta turned his head in the direction of him.
"Yeah, she sort of took the house and then a guy, he said his name was Coriander Chilli, came out and introduced himself. Weird huh?" Goku laughed, scratching the back of his head uneasily.
"Weird, Weird Kakarot? No that is not weird it is down right ridiculous. How dare that woman be such an ungrateful wench? After everything you have done." Vegeta ranted, Spittle occasionally flying from his mouth.
"I have to admit I am on board with Vegeta here, which is just so screwed up, because we never agree on anything." Yamcha quipped from where he had been quietly listening.
"Well it's over guys don't make a big deal, okay? I only came to see if I could get a new house capsule." Goku cut in not wanting to hear anymore on the subject.
"Whaa, no way mister, you're staying here with us. You can stay with Vegeta, he has plenty of space, right Vegeta." She volunteered.
"Nah, that's okay, really. I don't think Vegeta wants to deal with me. I annoy him most of the time I am in the same room as him."
"Nonsense, of course he would be happy to have you. Won't you Vegeta." Bulma stated adamantly. Her don't argue with me glare piercing the princes own stubborn stare.
"Yes, why not, it would make training easier with another to battle with besides the blasted Gravity room all the time." He relented gracefully.
"If you're sure." Goku looked at the other hesitantly; Vegeta and he might be on firmer ground, but he didn't know if the other saiyan would be able to tolerate his constant presence. Vegeta had stated multiple times, he was and idiot, a moron, and a clown. Would they really be able to live together with such a clash of personalities?
"He said he was sure, now go get settled in. Breakfast will be done shortly." The genius heir commanded, winking at the shorter saiyan when he turned to leave with his new resident.
"Let's go Kakarot, I don't have all day." He snapped, turning around to hide to blush that dusted his cheeks and nose. The damned woman somehow knew about his interest in the male.
Leaving the room, the two saiyans heard the amused laugh of a certain blue haired woman accompanied by a faint "What's so funny" from the only other occupant in the room. Walking in companionable silence for most of their short journey, Goku found he couldn't stay quiet any longer, deciding to the fill it with friendly banter.
"Thanks a bunch for letting me stay here with you. I was just going to get a new capsule and find a good place to put it." Goku admitted, now in a jovial mood.
"Don't be a fool Kakarot, The woman has more than enough room. You can finally get in the proper amount of training a saiyan should. Instead of having to listen to that harlot, complain about the waste of time, and the bad example it sets for your sons. It's bad enough your eldest has given up to be more like a pitifully normal human." Vegeta complained.
"So you heard her say that too, huh?"
"Yes Kakarot, she was always here visiting Bulma , prattling on and on about how you should get a normal job, get your license so you can drive her instead of flying and causing people to stare, and on and on. The torture of having to hear her even from afar was immense." He smirked when the other male did not try to dissuade his opinion of the ox princess.
"Yeah, I'm free…I guess?" thought aloud, still partially dislocated from the whole experience.
"Come, I will show you where your room is and then we will go have breakfast. Cookie is making her usual Sunday brunch and I refuse to let that man get all the chocolate chip pancakes." Vegeta grumped.
"Alright!" He agreed.
When the two walked in to the next room, Goku's stomach gave an angry rumble. Vegeta looked at the other in exasperation, but figured this situation could be a trial for him to see if the two were compatible, and if he could learn more about the other, in time it would help him adjust; taking the first step to grasp the things he wants in his life, starting with the saiyan before him.
