Three Black Seeds
2: Nakamura

She just longs for company:
a wild beast beside her
instead of the china dolls
who'll break if she leaves
them out too long.

He looks like a china doll
and she pushes hard enough
to watch him crack.
Humpty dumpty who falls off
the wall. But his skin shines
when he stands. She's right.
He's not a doll, but a beast
as well.
