AntVenom's heart beat faster every second as he stood next to his friend, terrified of what could happen. CaptainSparklez, he was the Nether Prince who should have been killed at birth but for some reason his father, the cruel god Herobrine, had let his son live. Maybe it was for entertainment, maybe he was raised to be the heir to the Nether Throne. That made no sense, Herobrine had no fear of death, the only being he had to fear was his older brother Notch. The two gods had differing opinions on what to do with humans, Notch had created the first Minecraftian, Steve, and Herobrine had killed him. But Herobrine was dead now, AntVenom had killed the cruel god with his own golden sword. He had seen the god's dead body, there was no way that Herobrine was still alive, but here was his son talking with his voice, eyes glowing with the same inner white light as his father.
"CaptainSparklez, you are the hero of Minecraftia, Prince of the Nether Realms, and most of all, my best friend"
Ant looked at Sparklez, who hadn't moved since the brown-eyed man had spoken. The words had no effect on him, the Nether Prince was still angry. AntVenom took a deep breath to calm his nerves are stepped forward, embracing his best friend. He reached out his mind to the son of Herobrine and sent thoughts of love and peace to his friend's distraught mind. Ant and Sparklez had been practicing telepathy for some time, the only other person that AntVenom could communicate mentally with was his brother SkyDoesMinecraft through their amulets. Suddenly, Sparklez went limp in his friend's arms and Ant almost almost fell over from the unexpected weight. Ant knew that the evil presence of Herobrine was gone from Sparklez's mind. But that didn't explain why the former king was able to come to the world of the living. He laid his friend on the soft grassy ground and said,
"CaptainSparklez, are you okay?" The Nether Prince didn't respond at first but then moaned and said,
"It hurts."
"What hurts Sparklez?" Ant quickly responded, his mind racing as to what was wrong with his best friend.
"My head is killing me." Sparklez blinked his blue eyes open and mumbled,
"Why am I lying on the ground Ant?" I thought we were just having a talk about Dawn." Ant smiled at his friend and helped him up,
"Thank Notch you're all right, you just blacked out. I'm sure it's nothing." Ant grinned reassuringly at his friend.
"Oh" Sparklez looked a little confused but smiled back at AntVenom.
"I'm lucky to have such a good friend to help me." Sparklez added as they started walking back towards their village. Ant smiled again, but this time the smile was fake.
"It was...good talking to you Sparklez, I need to go now, Cave challenged me to see who could find diamonds faster." Ant said, and Sparklez nodded again, not seeing through the excuse. He seemed troubled, but the Nether Prince had the good sense not to ask his friend more about what had happened. Sparklez would find out later, when Ant was ready to tell him and no sooner.
"Sparklez! Are you there?" A female voice called out, stopping the Nether Prince from the pumpkin pie he was unsuccessfully trying to bake.
"And right when I was in the middle of something, again" CaptainSparklez said, referring to his interrupted slumber earlier that week.
"Yes, the door's unlocked, you can come in Dawnables" he added, this time loud enough that his girlfriend could hear him.
"Hi Sparklez, what are you smelting?" The purple and pink haired girl said as she walked into the Nether Prince's kitchen.
"I was trying to make pumpkin pie but I think something's wrong with it."
"Hmm" Dawn walked over to pie and tasted a bit of the pie filling.
"You forgot the sugar, Sparky." She said with a laugh,
"I knew that." Sparklez flushed slightly at his own foolishness. Once sugar had been added to the pie, Dawn carefully put it in the hot furnace.
"Let it cook for an hour and then check to see if it is done." she said to CaptainSparklez who nodded as if he knew what he was doing and asked,
"Is there any reason for you coming here? Or did you just want to see me?"
"I wanted to know more about your life in the Nether. I've never been and it... I don't know I just want to learn about it because you used to be there." Dawn turned from the furnace to look at the Nether Prince with her green and blue eyes.
Sparklez smiled and said softly,
"Most of my memories from that place are not very good ones, to put it mildly."
"I'd still like to know." Dawn said defiantly, the look on her face telling CaptainSparklez that she would not back down until she got what she wanted. He sighed softly, then started telling her what she wanted...
Meanwhile in AntVenom's house...
Ant blinked his eyes open and looked around, finding himself in a forest. It was not a place he recognized, but the sunlight streaming through the beaches of the trees and birdsongs made it seem peaceful and calming.
"Am I dreaming?" The amulet-wearing man asked himself, not expecting an answer.
"Yes, you are dreaming AntVenom." Ant froze, hearing a voice that sounded eerily like Herobrine. But there was a subtle difference, it was slightly deeper and didn't have the undertone of malice that Herobrine's voice did.
"Who's there?" Ant called out and heard someone clearing their throat. Ant turned around to see a man behind him. The man was wearing a simple brown shirt and gray pants. He was bald but had a dark beard and kind twinkling eyes.
"It's me," the man said with a slight smile, "Notch."
I kinda feel like Moffat for making you guys wait so long, but then again two months isn't much compared to an entire year lol. Okay then, bye guys and until the next late chapter ;)
