Hello again dear reader! I'm back, with another chapter! I'm pretty sure this is the fastest I've updated...let's see if I can break that record soon, enjoy!
AntVenom knew better than to run straight after his friend unprepared, even though his heart screamed at him to follow Sparklez. They would probably be away for a while and Ant only had his sword and some ores that would need smelting with him. The ore would be left behind, it was unnecessary weight to care with him. GrailMore brought him some supplies and after kissing her goodbye, Ant followed the trail of still-wet blood that had fallen from the wounded demigod.
Ant felt terrible about hurting his friend, but he knew that Sparklez probably felt even worse about what he had almost done to Sky. SkyDoesMinecraft and CaptainSparklez were not very good friends, but they got along. As the dark-haired man walked through an even darker forest, he couldn't think of the reason why his younger brother and best friend had been in such a deadly battle. It wasn't uncommon for friends to practice their swordsmanship with each other, but it was usually with blunted weapons and some healing potions nearby.
"Was it because of Dawn?" Ant thought aloud, but got no further in his thinking. The little drops of blood that Ant had been following had thankfully stopped, Sparklez had lost a dangerous amount of blood. Now Ant only had to find the son of Herobrine. The brown-eyed man sat on the ground, leaves crackling underneath him. "All right Sparklez, I hope this works for your sake!" Ant said and clasped both his hands around his amulet and spoke a few sentences in bad Netherian. He closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths, as Sparklez had taught him to.
Soon after becoming settled in the Overworld, CaptainSparklez had closely examined the matching purple and gold amulets Ant and Sky always wore. He had proclaimed that they were centuries-old amulets created by magic users. There had once been many magic users in both the Overworld and Nether, but they were not very common anymore. Sparklez had explained that a magic user would be able to use the twin amulets for many different purposes, but since neither Ant nor Sky were magic users they had limited uses for the amulets. Recently, Sparklez had taught Ant how to use his amulet to do something the son of Herobrine did often: to temporarily strengthen his senses. The only downside of the spell was learning the magic words, which were in ancient Netherian.
AntVenom took another breath of cool night air and smelled the scent of leaves and trees and the small animals that had been scampering around during the day. Ant cocked his ear, and he listened. There were no birds singing during the night, but there were the very faint sounds of the monsters that spawned during the night. There was the rattle of bones from a skeleton, the chilling hiss of creeper, the moans of a zombie and-Ant's brown eyes opened with a start. Those were not normal monster noises, they were the sounds of monsters being wounded. It had to be Sparklez! The Hero of Mincraftia quickly stood up and started running in the direction where he had heard the monsters. As he ran, his senses dulled back to those of a normal human, but by that point he could hear Sparklez fighting the monsters. The dark forest brightened up as Ant crashed through some bushes, into a clearing lit by the moon where the Nether Prince battling numerous monsters of the night.
Ant's first reaction was to run up to his friend and help him defeat the monsters but something stopped him. He noticed that CaptainSparklez was not wounded apart from his previous wounds and seemed to be doing well against the monsters.
Sparklez had discarded his jacket and shirt, he had ripped off a large section of his white shirt and had tied it around his wounded shoulder, effectively stopping the bleeding. The Nether Prince was sweating lightly in the cool night air as he moved his body, fluidly evading attacks and launching his own.
A skeleton rattled it's bones as it shot an arrow at Sparklez who calmly swayed away from the sharp projectile. The skeleton grabbed another arrow but didn't have the chance to nock it. The son of Herobrine had started running towards the skeleton as soon as he had evaded it's arrow. The skeleton looked up to see CaptainSparklez flying towards it, feet first. He slammed against the skeleton with enough force to break it's ribcage in half, killing the monster instantly. He picked up the dead skeleton's bow and arrows and shot a zombie at point-blank range, it's head exploding from the force of the arrow. Unfortunately the poorly-made bow snapped in Sparklez's experienced hands, rendering the remaining few arrows useless. Sparklez grimaced and moved his left arm closer to his body, he shouldn't have drawn the bow with a wounded shoulder, just holding the bow had made pain explode from his sword wound.
That was when Ant noticed something amazing about the Nether Prince's fighting style, he was doing it with his eyes closed. Sparklez smiled despite the pain from his wounds, he just ignored it and concentrated on his opponents. With his eyes shut, he could see their auras, pale green for Overworld monsters glowing dimly in his mind. The shape was not exact, but the auras were the basic figure of what he was fighting. His mind raced and his heart beat fast with adrenaline as he faced a spider, a creeper, and a zombie. Sparklez rolled one of the arrows in his hand and an idea came to him. He focused his mind-sight on the nearest monster to him, the spider. The son of Herobrine took the arrow and pulled back his right hand and whipped it forward with an inhuman speed. The arrow shot forward as if from a bow, slamming into the spider. The red-eyed monster gave a final hiss before curling it's legs together, dead.
By that time the creeper has made it's way to Sparklez and started hissing softly. The blue-eyed demigod waited briefly before pushing the creeper a few feet away into the zombie. Unable to stop it's countdown, the green monster exploded and killed it's fellow creature of the night. The force of the explosion knocked over Sparklez and left him with some bad burn marks but he was largely unharmed by the explosion.
Now safe, CaptainSparklez got up and turned around to the bright white aura of his best friend,
"You can come out now, Ant. I know you're there," Sparklez said as he finally opened his piercing blue eyes to look at AntVenom's astonished brown ones.
Yup. Everyone, meet the Nether Prince! Now make sure he likes you or you could end up like one of those monsters...Anyways, I will see you guys when I finish procrastinating the next chapter!
