Dear readers, do you happen to know what day it is(July 6 lol)!? Today is the 1 year anniversary of my first chapter of "Newcomer in the Nether" and my first story ever posted on this website. I had fun writing NitN but I wasn't planning anything else but you dear readers asked and so I started NitO. And without futher delay, here is another chapter of NitO!

The delicous scent of bacon cooking woke AntVenom. He yawned loudly and rubbed his brown eyes.

"Hello AntVenom, I hope you slept well." Sparklez's calm voice made Ant look up at the Nether Prince. He looked amazing compared to the mess Sparklez had been when he had fought Ant the night before. Sparklez was wearing his dress suit with the exception of his white shirt and he had cleaned his face of the blood and dirt from the previous nights events. There was also a glint of determination in his piercing blue eyes behind the red shades.

"Did you sleep well?" Ant asked his demigod friend.

"I didn't sleep, I just kept watch over you. If some monster had found us you could have been seriously injured because you're in no condition to fight."

"You didn't need to do that!" Ant protested, "You had killed all the monsters in the area."

"No, I did," the son of Herobrine calmly responded. "There was a spider a few hours after you fell asleep. Big mistake on it's part." Sparklez smiled a wicked grin, showing white teeth.

"Oh, thanks." Ant blinked, "but you really should have slept a bit."

"I made you some bacon," Sparklez said changing the subject as he handed Ant said bacon on a stick. The amulet-wearing man suddenly realized how hungry he was and quickly ate the hot meal. Once he had finished and wiped his mouth Ant asked,

"Do you think it's safe for me to stand up? Last night I was unable to move from the pain, I had forgotten how sharp Enderman claws are. "

"You heal quite fast for a human so I think you can stand up, but try not to move your back much or fight because that might tear open the scabs." Ant nodded and carefully got to his feet,

"What about you Sparklez? How's your shoulder?"

"It's fine, in a week it should be as good as new. I'm the son of Herobrine after all," Ant nodded and added,

"I'm sorry for doing that and to be honest I don't have any good excuses." Sparklez gave a wry smile and said,

"I was going to kill you, it's perfectly reasonable to respond in a similar manner."

"No, I could have just knocked you out or something! I was aiming for your heart, if you hadn't moved then you would be dead!" There was pain in his voice as Ant explained his actions, and the pain wasn't from his wounds.

"It's okay Ant. When you're scared it can be hard to think things through, and you did the best thing possible. I would have killed you before you knocked me out. You surprised me with a stab to the heart and that saved both of our lives. You did a good thing AntVenom, so stop trying to apologize."

"I tried to murder my best friend," Ant's voice cracked. "No matter the result, it's unforgivable."

"I forgive you Ant, and I am saddened that you cannot accept my forgiveness. Also I want to thank you, you stopped me from killing SkyDoesMinecraft. While I do not like him very much, I do not wish to kill him either." Ant nodded and said,

"I think I might understand why you and Sky don't get along very well."

"Why's that?" Sparklez asked.

"It is because you two are similar," and before the Nether Prince could argue Ant continued, "You are both very impulsive and are both excellent fighters. Also both of you are in positions of power. I know you don't directly command the Nether creatures but if you asked they would serve you. Sky, of course, has the Sky Army. Those loyal recruits would do anything for him just as your Nether creatures would do anything for you. And there's also Dawnables." Ant paused to judge Sparklez's reaction but the son of Herobrine merely frowned and motioned for AntVenom to continue talking. "I can't think of any more similarities, but I do have a question to ask you Sparklez."

"Shoot."

"Last night, when you were fighting the monsters, you had your eyes closed! How did you do that? I mean, I know you have better senses than any human but still..."

"Oh right, it's something I can do as the son of Herobrine. Other then being physically capable and having acute senses I also have some...magical abilities. For one thing I can summon fire, watch." Sparklez stepped away from his friend and cupped his hands in front of him and narrowed his eyes in concentration. After a second a fireball popped into existence and Ant gasped in surprise,

"Wow Sparklez, that's amazing! I mean, you've done something similar when Herobrine took over, but I didn't know you could do it on your own!"

"It is a curse as well as a blessing." Sparklez said cryptically and extinguished the fire.

"Is there anything else you can do?"

"Yes, I can see auras. It's hard to explain explain what an aura is but I will try my best. They are kind of like a person's soul, but an aura is on the outside of your body. It's a colored light that a person emits and it is a sort of outline. The only problem is some auras can be distracting so I've trained myself to be able to block them out when I want to." Sparklez paused and looked at his brown-eyed friend to gauge his reaction.

"Sparklez...that sounds beautiful! I wish I could see auras!" AntVenom said with a look of wonder in his eyes.

"Yeah, I don't think that's very possible," Sparklez said, "I think only gods and demigods can see them. Another thing about auras is when I close my eyes, I can't block them out. I have to be asleep or unconscious to not see the aura of every living animal in the area. That's why I was able to fight with my eyes closed because I could see the monsters' auras. Also, auras aren't usually very clear but if I concentrate I can focus them and see very clearly what the person or monster is doing just without the distractions of anything else. It's strange though, because even though I cannot see the ground or an aura of the ground, I never trip or run into anything. I don't know why but that's the way it is." Sparklez shrugged.

Ant stood still for a minute and processed everything his best friend had said. "Thank you for telling me all this Sparklez, it means a lot to me. We should probably go now, after all we have a Nether King to find."
