Twenty chapters. Wow, I don't even know what to say. Thank you dear reader for supporting me and helping me get this far. Also because a few of you wanted this, this chapter has SparkAnt in it. If you don't like it, don't read it and just skip this chapter I guess.
Grail! Are you there?" Ant said, "Are you hurt? Hello?"
Sparklez opened his blue eyes and blinked a bit,
"AntVenom." he stated.
"CaptainSparklez, you're back."
"How did you know?"
"Grail looks at me differently then you do, even in the same body." Ant said as he helped his friend stand.
"How does she look at you?"
"It's a bit hard to describe, but she looks at me with an expression of love and happiness. You don't look at me with that same expression."
"How do you know I don't look at you like that?" Sparklez said as he stared intensely into AntVenom's brown eyes.
"Umm...because we're not in love?" Ant trailed off when he saw his joking response had not been taken in a joking manner.
"Who says we're not in love?" Sparklez was still staring deep into his human friend's eyes.
"Sparklez, are you feeling okay?" Ant said as he stepped a few feet away from his friend, "You're acting strange..."
"I feel better than I've felt in a long time. I feel like I could do...anything." Sparklez stepped closer to Ant, so their faces were only a few inches apart.
"That's good." Ant said, a little nervous. "Sparklez could you please back up, I need some personal space."
"You didn't need it with me before."
"That's because that was GrailMore, not you! It's the mind that counts not the body."
"Then why did you keep pointing out it was my body and that it made you uncomfortable?
"It was weird, that's all. Nothing personal."
"How do you know it was Grail?" Sparklez asked and Ant had a sinking feeling in his stomach as he realized what his friend had said.
"No, that can't be!" Ant said hoarsely.
"Joking." Sparklez's voice had no emotion in it as he spoke.
Ant backed up a bit more, and suddenly there was no where else to back up to. His back was against the cold hard stone wall of the jungle temple.
"Your eyes are glowing, Herobrine." Ant said, bravely facing his enemy. Sparklez looked confused and he blinked a few times. His eyes stopped glowing white.
"Neat trick isn't it?" He purred.
"How did you do that?" Ant swallowed, painfully aware that if it came to a fight, he wouldn't have any room to move.
"Magic." Sparklez smiled, showing perfect white teeth in a way that Ant found unnerving. The human slowly moved his hand to his sword, hanging by his side.
"What are you doing AntVenom?" Sparklez asked sweetly, his sharp eyes hadn't missed the subtle movement.
"I'm just stretching." Ant quickly lied and stretched his arms.
"Good. In that case you wouldn't be needing this," and with that the Nether Prince grabbed Ant's sword and threw it behind them. Feeling like he needed some form of protection, Ant blurted out,
"Could I have my amulet back?" Sparklez raised an eyebrow and took the golden pendant it off his head, leaning extra close to place it on AntVenom's bare chest where it started glowing faintly. The demigod traced his fingers on the tan skin around the amulet. Ant shivered in the hot jungle air.
"Stop it, Sparklez." The son of Herobrine smirked but did as Ant asked. Ant was suddenly aware that they were both shirtless, and while it won't bother him normally, this was not a normal situation. He moved sideways to get his shirt back which he had taken off only to show Grail his wounds. Sparklez also moved sideways to block Ant.
"Could you please move? I'd like to put on my shirt." Ant said, already guessing what his friend's response would be.
"It's quite hot here...I don't think you need it."
"You're wearing your jacket," said Ant referring to the classy black suit jacket CaptainSparklez always wore. Bad move. Sparklez looked down at the piece of clothing and promptly removed it.
"I don't need it. Now I have something to say, and you will stand still and listen to it."
"I will, but only if I'm allowed to wear my shirt," retorted Ant. Sparklez stared at him for a moment, an annoyed look on his face. Finally he grabbed his fallen jacket and gave it to Ant, who frowned but supposed it was the best he was going to get and put it on. The black fabric didn't seem to protect him from Sparklez's piercing gaze but it made Ant feel a bit better.
"Now ready to listen AntVenom?" Sparklez paused to see if Ant would interrupt him again but when the human stayed silent he continued, "I like you Ant, I like you a lot. And I'm not talking about something platonic. I like you in the same way you like GrailMore."
"Then you see an obvious problem," Ant said, finally somewhere where he could talk some sense into his friend. "I have a girlfriend, and I love her very much. I wouldn't do anything that would hurt Grail."
"But if you didn't have GrailMore, if she was...gone. Would you date me?" Sparklez said his piercing blue eyes looking at Ant, looking from his simple black pants to the softly glowing purple amulet on his chest to his scared brown eyes to his raven-black hair ruffled from the day's events.
"Sparklez...I'm going to ignore the threat to my girlfriend because you're not thinking straight right now, but...I don't like you in that way. I like you as a friend and nothing more." Ant looked down as if he expected Sparklez to lash out at him for giving a wrong answer.
"That's a shame." The emotion in the Nether Prince's voice startled Ant and made him look up as Sparklez pulled him close and kissed him hard. Ant was so surprised he didn't move for a second while Sparklez's rough mouth pressed passionately against his own. Ant struggled and tried to move away from the son of Herobrine but he had nowhere to go. The Nether Prince had trapped him between his body and the jungle temple wall. After what seemed like an eternity, Sparklez finally pulled away and smiled a wicked smile, his glowing eyes belying the cruel intent.
"You're right, I don't kiss you enough. Your beard still tickles."
Ant looked at the cruel demigod and felt sick.
"Spark-" but before Ant could finish the word, his head exploded into excruciating pain and he blissfully fell into unconsciousness.
Sparklez let out a small breath of relief as the powerful presence left his head. He slowly blinked his blue eyes and looked sorrowfully at AntVenom.
"Oh my Notch, I'm so so sorry Ant," Sparklez whispered knowing his friend couldn't hear. "I warned you not to stick with me but-" and at that point his voice cracked and CaptainSparklez started weeping.
