I bet you guys thought I had given up on this story, joke's on you it's still here.
Sky was in the dining hall, munching on a slice of bread, that had a generous amount of butter on it. He looked up as AntVenom and GrailMore walked in, holding hands.
"I see you've found him," Sky said to Grail with a mouth full of breakfast.
"Yes, and Ant has told me that he was going away again. Why didn't you tell me?!" She reproached the man, and even though he was a few years older than her, he looked scared.
"I...ah thought it was best to have AntVenom tell you," Sky said and his excuse sounded weak even to him. The truth was that Sky hadn't even thought of having GrailMore join them on searching for Sparklez. Grail simply raised an eyebrow and said,
"I'm going with you two, no ifs ands or buts about it." Sky opened his mouth to try to dissuade her but saw Ant shrug hopelessly and nodded.
"Fine, but no slowing us down," he said. GrailMore looked like she was going to make an indignant retort but didn't, she had gotten her way, and if the boys didn't like it then it was their problem.
"So Ant, do you know where we're going to look for Sparky?" Grail said as she helped herself to a slice of melon.
"Uh...I was thinking the Nether would be a good place to start," Ant said.
"Start at his old home then? It sounded like he didn't really want to go back but that's better than anything I can think off," Grail said as Sky nodded his agreement, his mouth being too full to answer.
"So, let's do a final check to make sure we have everything," GrailMore said, and the two amulet-wearing men quickly agreed with her, not having thought of it themselves.
"Swords?" They all had diamond so Ant answered,
"Check."
"Food?" Sky was in charge of the food.
"All good here," he said.
"Armor?" Ant looked at the leather armor they all had, minimal protection but they weren't looking for a fight.
"Check," Sky said and put on the golden helmet he had long ago fashioned into a crown.
"Torches? Yes, I'm in charge of those," Grail said to herself. "Okay, do we need anything else?"
"I don't think so," Ant said.
"You guys ready?" Sky grinned, unable to keep the excitement out of his voice. Grail smiled,
"Yup, let's go."
The trio finished eating and after Sky made sure his castle would run well without him there, they left. The three adventurers decided to take the portal Ant had used when he had gone into the Nether to destroy Herobrine. The Nether portal was showing signs of neglect, with it not being activated, there were flowers that had started to grow on the obsidian frame.
GrailMore pulled out a flint and steel from her pocket and looked at Ant and Sky for confirmation on what she was about to do. The brothers nodded and the purple-clad girl struck the flint and steel together a few times in rapid succession. The sparks fell upon obsidian frame and a bright light flashed. Suddenly, the portal was a blinding swirl of purple light and it emitted faint eerie noises.
"Budder!" Sky yelled as he recklessly jumped through the portal. Grail was next, stepping through carefully, and Ant was the last looking around to make sure there was no one following them before jumping into the purple vortex.
It was the same unnerving sensation as always. Ant felt his body seem to dissolve and right when he thought he could take it no longer, he was standing in the Nether.
"Well at first glance, no Sparklez," Sky commented with no little amount of sarcasm.
"Let's go to the Nether fortress, it's where he's most likely to be," Ant said as he lead the way. It had been about a year, but he still found the castle with ease.
"It does look like anyone's home," GrailMore said, the disappointment clear in her voice.
"No, look closer," Ant pointed to the left of the fortress where a single Zombie Pigman made his way to the main entrance. "Stop! Pigman, we need to talk to you!"
The lumbering humanoid turned and grunted, before entering the Nether fortress. Ant, Sky, and Grail all quickly followed and found themselves surrounded by dozens of Zombie Pigmen and even a few Blazemen.
The first Pigman asked AntVenom something in its strange, guttural language. To the humans it just sounded like snorts and grunts.
"Sorry we don't-" Ant began but GrailMore silenced him. She then responded to the Pigman in his own language. The Nether Creature's look of surprise didn't even compare to AntVenom and SkyDoesMinecraft's.
For the next few minutes the purple-clothed girl carried on a conversation with the Pigman, with both participants asking and answering questions. Grail turned to the still shocked brothers and said,
"They say Sparky hasn't been here since he left the Nether with you, or at least he hasn't visited the fortress. Is there anywhere else we could check?"
"Well, there is one place... A small cobblestone house. Sparklez would have visited it right before we defeated Herobrine. Could you try them that?" Ant said hopefully.
Grail smiled and turned back to the Pigman and confidently asked him the question. The Pigman gave a response, and GrailMore asked something else. The Pigman grunted twice and all the Nether Creatures left them.
"So the Pigman said he doesn't know if Sparky has been there, but he'd be willing to lead us there. But he says if the Nether King gets mad at us then he's not taking the blame."
"The Nether King!" Sky exclaimed, "You mean Herobrine?"
"No, it's what they called CaptainSparklez," Ant explained to the budder king.
"So should we go?" Grail asked Ant and Sky who both nodded.
The Pigman snorted and shuffled out of the Nether fortress with the three humans following closely behind.
"So Grail, since when do you speak Pigman?" Ant asked his girlfriend who laughed at the question.
"Well I thought it might be good to learn, since we are now on good terms with the Nether Creatures. Also Sparklez is fluent in it and he has enough things that he's better than us at so I thought, why not? And I don't speak Pigman, I speak Netherian. Pigman is just the most basic dialect of it, all the other Nether Creatures have their own variations..." Ant just smiled at GrailMore's enthusiasm and thought he was lucky to have such a talented girlfriend.
So this fanfic is kinda coming to end, I'd say five more chapters at the most-we'll see. Also I don't think I'll write a third book but I could change my mind.
