I wonder if anyone is still reading this…in my defense I wrote another little one-shot so that's why this chapter has taken so long. Also finals. But school's out and here is a new chapter.
"Ant? Hey, AntVenom? Hello?" GrailMore said, waving her hand in front of Ant's face.
"What? Oh, hi Grail," Ant smiled softly, "Sorry, I wasn't really paying attention. What did you say?"
Grail looked a bit annoyed,
"The Pigman said we've been walking for long enough, and that we should rest. You know, because night doesn't really happen in the Nether."
"Yeah, good idea," Ant said, "do we have anything to sleep on?"
"I brought some blankets-" his purple-clad girlfriend replied with a knowing smile. "I figured you and Sky would forget them."
"We didn't forget them...we uh...chose not to bring them!" Sky said unconvincingly. Grail raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything. GrailMore took out the three blankets and looked at their Pigman guide.
"I'm sorry, I didn't bring you a blanket. Will you be okay sleeping on the ground?" She accidentally said in Minecraftian.
"Yes. Pigmen can sleep on nether stone," he responded in a thick accent.
"What, you understand Minecraftian?!" Grail exclaimed in indignation, "Why didn't you say so earlier?"
"Better at Netherian" the Pigman said, and the way he said 'Netherian' was different from any Minecraftian accent. It was was far more guttural and natural sounding
GrailMore looked at the Pigman before nodding, "That makes sense. I apologize for yelling at you." The Pigman just grunted and looked away, not used to such kindness.
"Shall we sleep now?" Sky said, sounding a bit bored. The three humans then set up their blankets again quickly fell asleep in the hot air of the the Nether while the Pigman kept watch for a bit.
AntVenoon was sleeping peacefully, until he heard the sound of Pigman grunts. He was instantly awake, quickly blinking away the sleep from his eyes. He sat up and saw that his Pigman guide seemed to be arguing with another Pigman.
"What's going on?" He asked quietly, not wanting to wake the others.
The Pigmen both turned to look at him, and his guide answered,
"Not important to you. Go to sleep, human."
Ant looked carefully at the Pigman, knowing he had a difficult decision to make. He had to assess if they could trust Herobrine's former minions, if they could sleep easily in the hellish realm. I trust Sparklez with my life, I guess I have no choice but to also place that trust on his soldiers.
"If you hurt us, just know that the Nether King will never forgive you and that you would have no chance of survival if you killed us. This is the value CaptainSparklez places in his friends." Ant said, and he could see that the Pigmen had understood his words and that they feared him.
"Ant…What's going on?" GrailMore asked sleepily, having been woken up by the commotion.
"Nothing important, I was just talking to the Pigman," Ant said and turned to look at the two Pigmen. He did a double take when he noticed the second one had disappeared, presumably to go back to where it had come from.
"Oh okay," GrailMore let out a huge yawn, "We should probably wake Sky or something. I'll start breakfast."
"Sounds good," Ant said and walked over to his younger brother. "Hey Sky, wake up. We're going to have breakfast soon,'' he said as he shook his brother awake.
"Wha…? Is that bacon I smell?" Sky said, suddenly wide awake.
"Yes, I made some buttered toast with bacon" Grail replied as she approached the two men with said food, having ingeniously cooked it over the readily available lava.
After breakfast, the three humans continued their journey, which luckily for them, ended soon. It only took a few hours until AntVenom saw a familiar cobblestone house.
"We're here," he said with a smile.
"Did you make the roof?" was the first thing Grail said.
"Yeah, I did actually."
"How long did you guys live here?" asked Sky. "It's not very big," he added.
"It's tiny," Ant agreed, "And I don't know...a month or so? Anyway that's not important, let's go inside."
The three humans looked at the interior of the house, it contained a chest, a bed, and a trapdoor, but no Sparklez. Ant looked around the empty house then opened the trapdoor, "I'll check this place out," he said as he started going down the ladders that went down far.
"He's not here, and it doesn't look like he's visited this place since when we left it," he called back to his friends.
"I'm going down there too, Sky muttered and went down the ladder while Grail shrugged and followed.
The room she entered was obviously an armory, as it was filled with every sort of weapon, tool, and armor imaginable. Many of the weapons were enchanted with everything from Sharpness to Bane of Arthropods.
"What is this place?" Sky asked, "It's got more gear than my castle!"
"It's all that remains of the people who traveled in the Nether, in the times that Herobrine ruled," murmured AntVenom. "Sparklez collected it and it was here that we found the weapons and armor to defeat the cruel god himself."
GrailMore, who had been silent up until then, finally spoke,
"CaptainSparklez isn't here, I suggest we leave now." The bothers looked at her,
"Good idea, let's go," Sky mumbled, "this place gives me the creeps anyways."
"Yes, I suppose it is obvious that he isn't here," Ant said, "but I had hoped that Sparklez would be in the Nether. It would seem that he really doesn't want to be found."
The three humans then followed their Pigman guide back to the Nether Fortress, and after thanking him they went back to their homes in Minecraftia.
Three months later...
"Hey Ant, you awake?" Grail said, early one morning.
"Hmm?" AntVenom said sleepily, as he woke up. "What'd you say?"
"Sorry," GrailMore giggled, "you look cute when you're like that."
"Oh?" Ant smiled softly and blinked the rest of the sleep out of his eyes. "What was it you wanted to ask me?"
"Do you ever wonder where Sparklez is and wonder what he's doing?" She said, blue eyes bright with curiosity.
"Everyday," Ant answered, "He's my best friend. I'm constantly worrying about him and praying to Notch that he's alright."
Kinda an abrupt ending, but I had to post. Hopefully my next update will be faster...
