Official Disclaimer
The characters of Lieutenant Commander Steven 'Steve' McGarrett, Chin Ho Kelly, Kono Kalakaua, Adam 'Toast' Charles, Governor Patricia Jameson and Detective Meka Hanamoa, do not belong to me in any shape or form. I am merely using them for my own entertainment purposes.
The character of Detective Sergeant Danielle 'Danni' Williams probably can be considered to be mine by now. Although she was originally based on male Danny, she soon evolved becoming her own person. She has her own background, her own family, her own history and her own distinct personality. This isn't to say that the Danny Williams we all know and love is completely gone, he still emerges through her at times. I like to think of female Danni as what Danny could have been if everything in his life had gone his way. As in full custody of Grace and a decent relationship with his ex.
The character of Grace has also changed slightly due to the change in Danni. Her surname is Taylor as this is her father's surname and was Danni's married name (Danni reverted back to her maiden name when she was divorced). Her parents also are amicable which has also impacted Grace but never fear, she's still the sweetheart we know and love, if anything she's more a sweetheart now.
The character of Supervisory Special Agent Jack O'Connor, Detective Abraham Lee. Martin Chen. Rita Chen, Doctor Rosie Lange, Kent Deacon, Ross Hall, Sasha Hall, Nicole Hall, Brent Cox, Sally Webster and Special Agent Walker Humphries however do belong to me as does any other character who you do not recognise from the show. Please do not use them, or my version of Danni and Grace without first asking for my permission to do so.

"Welcome, can I get you anything to eat or drink Sir?"
He looked up from the newspaper he had been pretending to read to see his next chosen victim looking at him, a bright smile on her still young-looking face which failed to reflect in the green eyes focused on him.
Eyes which he noticed looked tired and dull looking in the overhead bright sunlight.
He was responsible for that tiredness of course.
She had a security system set up on her home, one which he could admit was a good one but it hadn't been quite good enough to take him out. It had taken him one or two attempts but he had finally managed to hack into it and take over the system, proceeding to set it off every two days without fail. He always varied the time of day which he did it, wanting to make sure that there was no pattern. What he needed was for her family to become accustomed to it so that their reactions times when it went off that final time would be dulled to the point that they would simply ignore it as another false alarm.
They wouldn't realise that someone was in the house with them until it was far too late for them to react.
He knew that he was skilled enough to cover his tracks with the security company as well and that they, just like the family were beginning to brush off the various alarms off as though they were nothing more than a kink which needed to ironed out by another team who will have to deal with it.
There were still some issues which he knew he needed to iron out before he could plan his attack further on the family, the dog they had for example had to go. He had made the mistake once before of not dealing with a dog that his victim had and it had nearly cost him everything when the Dog attacked him in an attempt to protect its owner forcing him to have to escape before the job could be done before leaving the state.
He would never make that same mistake again.
"Sir?" The woman repeated, her dark blond eyebrows meeting together in a concerned frown, leaning back from him and glancing around her nervously before she looked back at him. "Is everything okay Sir?" She tried again.
He forced a smile on his face as he gave her a nod.
"Sorry, I was miles away for a moment, I would love another coffee please with just a dash of cream in it and one sugar if that is all right?" He queried.
She nodded at him, not bothering to write the simple order down on the notepad she was carrying.
"That's no problem Sir, give me a moment and I'll be back with your coffee, are you sure we can't tempt you with any food from our menu today?" She asked him, nodding towards the menu which lay abandoned on the surface of the table he had chosen.
"Normally I would but I'm due to meet two friends of mine very shortly elsewhere so I doubt I would have the time for anything more than a coffee right now." He explained to her, placing the right amount of disappointment in his voice. "It was another friend of mine who recommended this place to me to try and it looks like he was right so I've no doubt that you'll see a lot of me… Sally." He stared with a smile at her, making a show of glancing down at the name badge attached the maroon coloured shirt that all the staff were wearing. It was easy to act as he was expected to act in the given situation.
He found himself wondering briefly how she would react if she found out just how much he already knew about her and her family.
"Good to know, I'll just go and get your coffee for you Sir." She remarked, flashing him the same empty smile as earlier before she turned and made her way through the crowded tables and disappeared back into the café.
He watched her progress until she was gone from his sight before he turned his attention back to the crowds who were walking by where he sat, the majority of them he could see were tourists simply enjoying their time away from their real lives and making the most of the tropical paradise they found themselves on.
Personally, he could wait to leave the island but he knew that his departure wouldn't be happening for a while yet, not until the day when he had done everything which he needed to get done, until then, he would simply continue as he was doing.
He smiled to himself, wondering if the Governor's task force had found his little treat to them yet or whether they still had that to look forward to.
It had been a stroke of genius on his part, he had to admit.
He could imagine their faces and reactions when they discovered it as clearly as if he was in the room with them watching them.
He had to hand it to them, they were certainly competent, better than he had anticipated if he was being honest with himself. It was a pleasant feeling, knowing he had the best the island had to offer hunting him and yet they still knew nothing about him. Even Detective Lee with his annoying tendency of never letting go had never been able to even figure out for certain what gender he was.
He would have to be smarter now and keep his desires under wrap the best he could, anyone could be watching him now and the slightest thing could trigger something in their memory which could lead them to going to the task force with their knowledge. It would make sense after all for them to do a press conference asking for information and warning the general population about him.
It wouldn't do any good of course, people would see it but they would never actually believe that they were the ones being targeted. They never did until it was too late, seeing that look in their eyes, the fear and the resignation was something he treasured.
"Here you go Sir, your coffee, black with a dash of cream and one sugar just as you ordered."
He blinked as Sally appeared beside him and placed the coffee down in front of him along with a sheet of paper which was no doubt the cheque. He looked at it and pulled out a five dollar bill from his black wallet which he passed it over to her with a large, friendly smile.
"My friend is right, the service here is fast, I've got to admit that I'm impressed." He stated, watching with a growing sense of satisfaction when she smiled again at him, this time a slight hint of warmth coming to her eyes as though she wasn't used to getting complimented when she was at work. Knowing what he knew about it, it was probably the first compliment she had received at work period.
"We aim to please" She remarked with a shrug as she pulled out the correct change from a small pouch she had and placed it on the table beside his drink. "Enjoy the rest of your day Sir."
"I'm sure that I will." He replied with a nod at her before he looked down at his coffee, picking the mug up and blowing on the surface before taking a cautious sip of the hot liquid.
He sat there for a moment, merely enjoying the excellent coffee as his mind went over his plans for Sally and her family before he focused on how he could continue to play with the Governor task force to keep them off his trail until his business was concluded.
There was always a way after all.
He just needed to find out more about the individual members so he could make sure whatever he did would cause the most damage to them all.
He placed his empty mug on the table and climbed to his feet, his eyes flickering around him once again, taking everything in before he looked at his watch and nodded to himself, moving away from the café and towards his rental car which he had parked nearby.
He had some unfinished business to take care of.
