Chapter 32: Dragon of the Ever Expanding Universe, Arise Celestra's Universe Dragon!, Yune Sibling Showdown Part 2

Sugar giggled, knowing that she was ahead of her older sister by a 1000 LP. She tried to keep the feeling to herself only to end up taunting Maira with a little dance to rub it in. "I'M WINNING. I'M WINNING! NAH-NAH-N-NAH-NAH!"

"Alright, alright. So I can see your modest, eh?" Maira playfully spoke back to Sugar's taunting. "I'll show you respect... I'll place 3 cards face down and end my turn!"

"W-what!? just like that?" Sugar thought out loud. "W-what are you thinking?"

"Strategy. Scared?" Maira daringly asked.

"N-no!"

"Oh, good. Hate to ruin your confidence."

"...I hate you..." Sugar drew her next card. "But no matter what your planning, it can't beat this!" she slammed a card down into place, getting a little over excited and nervous at the same time. "I'll summon Magician Extraordinaire!"

"Now I'll activate my Dark Circus Ring Master's special ability; I can move him to my backrow and equip him to both my Bad Joke and my Magician Extraordinaire as an equip spell! And while Both my monsters are equipped, they each gain half the original ATK of my Ring Master."

Dark Circus Ring Master did as followed and moved to Sugar's Spell/Trap Zone, thus distributing its strength to Sugar's 2 monsters, and since it was now treated as equip spell, Maira is now unable to attack it.

Suddenly upon powering up, Magician Extraordinaire bowed, his long cape flying back as Black Lion appeared from behind him and roared.

"W-wait! What just happened?" Maira said, seeing the Black Lion move out in front of the Magician.

"Hehehe, The Magician Extraordinaire's special ability activated! Whenever my magician is equipped with a card that was originally a monster, he can special summon a Tribute token to my field. This token also has carries the same Attribute as the monster equipped to my Magician. Also, whenever my Magician Extraordinaire would be destroyed, my Tribute can take its place instead."

"It makes money, Maira. Hope you're glad I didn't sell tickets this time." Sugar played right along with the banter.

"Wow, you know Sugar, you could be a real threatening duelist someday." Maira complimented.

"'Someday? As in, you doubt me now?" Sugar teased.

"But what's with the DARK deck? I was half expecting fairies or something." Maira commented.

"S-shut up! You know I love the circus!" Sugar seemed slightly embarrassed and offended by Maira's teasing regarding her card choices. "I just... couldn't find any LIGHT based circus themes.." she looked away, blushing at her folly.

"Hahaha! Okay, well it doesn't really suit you." So... You gonna continue?"

"Hey, you stopped me first!" Sugar scolded, "I'll... grr.. I'LL-!"

"Stall?"

Sugar was hesitating to call her attack, knowing that any damage, Maira recieves is real. However, knowing that her sister needed the training, and with constant pressure from Maira...

"That's it! I'll attack you with Bad Joke! Get her directly!"

Bad Joke laughed hysterically as it ran towards Maira, pulling at a sword covered with black aura and preparing to strike her with it.

"...Hmph. I play the trap card; Star Wish." Maira calmly said, stroking a strip of her hair.

Bad Joke looked confused, his dark eyes were round with shock as he suddenly began to levitate in the air. The clown floated about comically as it struggled to get back on the ground.

"W-what!? What does it do?" Sugar looked concerned.

"I can now use your attacking monster as a sacrifice to special summon a Planetary Warrior from my hand to the field and end your Battlephase."

"What?! Hmph, no matter, what ever monster you summon can't POSSIBLY beat my magician! He's almost 3000 ATK! You're finished!" Sugar stated confidently before declaring the end of her turn once Maira's monsters have been summoned.

"...Not quite."

"What!?"

"I special summon, Planetary Warrior of Uranus!" Maira played the card, as Bad Joke frowned and laughed lightly, being destroyed and in his place a beautiful woman with a tilted ring over her head emerged, the woman wore dazzling plated armor and wielded a staff that contained a bright orb resembling its planet which was centered and held between two sharp braces.

" Then I'll activate my other face down card, Universe Roll Call!" the card flipped up, revealing a large image of the Sun and the planets in their respective places around it at a dramatic angle. " Universe Roll Call activates when a Planetary Warrior is summoned to field OR sent from my field to the graveyard. This allows me to special 2 more Planetary Warriors from my deck to the field. I'll special summon Exiled Planetary Warrior of Pluto and Planetary Warrior of Saturn to my field!"

"O-oh no..." Sugar suddenly realized what was about to happen.

In one fell swoop, two more monsters were summoned to Maira's field. Warrior of Pluto looked like a small, somber girl holding her small planet in between her hands. Her long, dark blue dress flowed behind her as she floated, carrying a sorrowful expression. Warrior of Saturn wore several majestic rings around her ankles, wrist, hibs, head, elbows, and other parts of her body.

Maira drew her next card and proceeded to make her next move. " I overlay all 3 of my LV6 Planetary Warriors!" With her call, Maira's warriors zoomed up into their air, their bodies forming bright rays of orbs that spiraled into a large overlay network. Just then... Maira felt something odd within her, and looked to the card she was preparing to summon.

"Prepare, Maira Yune. For your about to bring forth the harnessed power of the universe!" a powerful, older woman's voice broke through her mind, and Maira began to recite a chant calling upon that aid from a powerful being. It was chant almost similar to what Aria and Albus recited, hinting that that monster about to be formed, was indeed a powerful one.

"From the never ending and always expanding world of the universe, I call upon the one who has tamed the dimensions of space and time! Bring me forth the power of the realms of heaven! And beyond all the Earth!"

The overlay network in front of Maira burst with large amounts of energy, and Maira's new monster rose.

"I Xyz summon, Celestra's Universe Dragon!" Maira held up her hand, and from behind her, an elegant dragon emerged and flew with grace and beauty. In it's wings, were the constellations, comets, planets, stars, and whole other worlds. She let out a powerful roar then laid down, placing her reverent claws over the other, criss-crossed her forelegs, and finally positioning herself in glorious manner and poise. It was a dragon that possessed both grand magnificence and power.

"...She's a bit more.. flashier... than your last dragon." Sugar said, trying to loosen the acheing in her stomach.

"Haha! You think so?" Maira smiled. " I activate Universe Deagon's special ability; I detach one of her overlay units to destroy all monsters on the field and inflict damage to your Lifepoints equal to the original ATK of your destroyed monsters. Universe Dragon, Super Nova!"

The dragon leapt into the air, and the field suddenly transformed into a spacial area now contained within its wings. The dragon swooped around, capturing a large celestial body within its jaws. With a powerful bite, the dragon crushed the captured star, and as a result, unleashed a large explosion that let out a blinding light, sucking all other monsters on the field and incinerating them.

" Err. I'll sacrifice my Tribute in place of my Magician Extraordinaire... Then I'll activate Dark Circus Ring Master's ability; whenever any of the equipped monsters would be destroyed, I can unequip him and special summon him back to my field."

Sugar tried desperate to reduce the damage from Universe Dragon's effect as well as save some of her monsters. In return, Sugar's Tribute and Bad Joke were both vaporized by Universe Dragon's Super Nova.

" Alright. I'll use another overlay unit!" Maira called out.

Universe Dragon unleashed its fury once more, creating another bright explosion, that began to suck in both Sugar's Ring Master and Magician Extraordinaire.

"Err... Turn off the light!" Sugar had ducked her head into her arms above her, trying to block out the blinding, overpowering light. Finally, the attack subsided, and the field returned to the old abandoned-looking shrine setting. "W-what.. on earth.. was that?"

"Something far beyond this world." Maira grinned.

The two masters smiled to one another.

Sugar had managed to survive both effects.. Unfortunately however... her field was now empty. And her Lifepoints were now vulnerable.

"Universe Dragon... End this with a direct attack!"

The dragon did as commanded, unleashing another blinding explosion wave straight at Sugar.

Sugar realized she had lost, and looked to her duel disk to confirm the result. "Aw, man!" She said, sighing. "If I kept Bad Joke, I might of been able to negate at least ONE of my monsters from dying..."

"I had a card for that." Maira said, removing her other card off the field. "I wasn't taking any chances."

"Very good. You have learned to not fear the pain." One of the masters praised.

"And to strive to win the game, not for yourself, but for the opponent as well." he turned to Sugar, "You were awfully cocky, and quite rude while in the lead. Maira humbled you, as a leader should."

"As a BIG SISTER should." Maira commented, going over to her sister. "Did you have fun!"

"..." Sugar pouted, folding her arms and puffing up one side of her cheeks.

"..Sugar, don't be a poor sport." Maira teased, before Sugar looked up at her playfully.

"Now you know how I felt!" She jumped into her sister's arms. "I'm so happy your back to your old self, Maira! This training's going to be great!" She exclaimed.

"Uh...oh.. um.." Maira fumbled with her little sister in her arms, but then sighed and gave up. "Alright, alright. you lost the duel... but you won over all." she smiled.

"Does that mean you'll duel in the DT Grand Championships!?" Sugar gasped out.

Maira sighed and nodded, "I'll school'em with this new power I've got."

"Yippie!"

"To soon to celebrate, little Yin and Yang." the two masters spoke together. "You still have much to learn."

The girls looked back the there elders, and nodded, "Yes, sensais!" the two spoke in unison.
