Hey guys, someoneorother123 here. I'm really sorry that this has taken so long! Squidscool was meant to write this but a lot of stuff has been going on, we've both gotten sick and yeah we've both been busy. But I finally managed to write this! Its a bit short but I hope you still enjoy it!
The First Day
Sebastion was confused when he opened his eyes. He had forgotten where he was. Why was he lying in what looked like a castle tower? In a bed with blue and bronze sheets? Then he remembered. He was at Hogwarts. And it was the First Day.
"C'mon Sebastion, get up!" He heard a voice, it belonged to Andrew.
"I'm coming, I'm coming," he replied, slowly getting out of bed.
The other boys in his dormitory, Andrew, Matthew, Callum and Rapheal, were already up and were getting dressed. Sebastion had slept in.
He walked over to his cupboard and was shocked to discover that all of his things and already been unpacked. And he now owned a Ravenclaw tie. He carefully put on his uniform, making sure it was all neat.
"Are you ready?" Andrew asked, he was already dressed and had definitely not taken as much time as Sebastion had. His top button was undone and his robes hung losely around his shoulders.
"Yeah yeah, I'm ready now," Sebastion replied. He noticed all the boys has already left.
They walked down into the Common Room, which was basically empty. And crawled through the portrait hole. The entrance to Ravenclaw was a big bronze eagle. Sebastion wondered why the symbol of Ravenclaw was on eagle, what about a raven?
They wandered off down a corridor. "Bloody hell, how are we supposed to find out way around this castle? Its massive!" Andrew complained.
"Do you remember how we got here?" Sebastion asked.
"Um, I'm not sure but I think we went down that staircase, then down another big set of stairs," he replied, pointing to a small set of stairs.
"Let's go down there then," Sebastion said.
They walked down the long set of stairs until they reached the centre of the castle, where all the staircases were. There were so many and he could see many other people rushing around, they all seemd to be heading to one place.
"I think we should go follow all those people, they seem to know where they're going," he said. They followed the other kids down the many flights of stairs until they came to a massive set of doors.
"Yep, we've come to the right place, this is definitely the Great Hall," Andrew said.
An older girl in front of them pushed open the huge set of double doors to reveal the Great Hall. It looked even bigger then the night before. Andrew and Sebastion hurried to the Ravenclaw table.
The tables were full of nearly every breakfast food you could imagine. Every form of cereal, toast, bacon, heaps of eggs and a lot more.
Sebastion helped himself to a big pile of bacon and eggs, the food at Hogwarts was delicious.
"Excuse me, your a first year aren't you?" Someone asked. Sebastion turned to see a boy a bit older then him handing out timetables.
"Yes, thanks," Sebastion replied, taking a timetable.
"What day is it again?" Andrew asked, he was also scanning his timetable.
"Um, Tuesday, so first we have Herbology with Slytherin and then Charms by ourselves," Sebastion replied.
Aine had History of Magic first. She was quite disappointed by that, she probably wouldn't get to use magic and it sounded just like History at her old school.
Then she has Muggle Studies. "Why do we need to learn Muggle Studies if we come from Muggle families? We already know what Muggle's are like," Aine whispered to Gracelyn, the girl sitting next to her who was also a Muggle-born.
"It was started afree the Second Wizarding War against Voldemort. Muggle Studies used to be optional in your third year but they decided to raise awareness of Muggles and start a compulsory class for first and second years," Silvie, who was sitting across from them, replied.
Suddenly there was a loud noise and a hole in the roof of the Great Hall opened! Aine watched in amazement as heaps of owls flew in through the roof.
"Whoah," Gracelyn said.
Everyone else was tresting it as if it was a normal thing, the birds had begun to drop parcels and letters at their respective owners.
"What's with the owls?" Aine asked Silvie.
"We've always used owls to communicate, they are trained to send messages. Sort of like your Muggle Post Service," she replied.
"Oh," Aine replied in awe, she continued eating her breakfast.
After everyone in the Hall had finished eating, the dishes disappeared and Professor Woods walked to the podium. "Alright children, you can go up to your dormitories and get your class supplies, then when the bell chimes you are all to go to your classes, thank-you and I hope you enjoy your day," she said.
The five hundred or six hundred children all rose from their seats and began to make their way through the crowd towards the set of doors.
"Come on, we need to get our stuff," Gracelyn said, Aine followed her down the small staircase crowded with heaps of other Hufflepuff's.
Aine sat in her bed and scanned her timetable, in third period she had Herbology with Gryffindor, then Defence Against the Dark Arts with Gryffindor, then Charms and Transfiguration. She scanned her timetable to see when she would have a class with the Slytherin's. She had Flying and Care of Magical Creatures with them.
"Care of Magical Creatures sounds cool," Aine said.
"Yeah, like Muggle Studies it used to be an elective in Third Year but then they changed it to be compulsory in First Year. According to my brother it sounds really fun but unfortunately we have it with the Slytherin's," Silvie replied, pulling a face.
"What's wrong with Slytherin's?" Aine asked
"Well, let's just say they're not the nicest people. Ever heard of Lord Voldemort?" She replied.
"Yeah, Hagrid explained all about him to me when we went to Diagon Alley, god he sounded like a terrorist. Sort of like Hitler," Aine said.
"I think I've heard of Hitler. Anyway, he was a Slytherin, and so were most of his followers, Slytherin's can be really power-hungry and ambitious," Silvie replied. Aine couldn't imagine Azealia being anything like that, Silvie was probably wrong.
Suddenly the bell went. "Come on! Get your stuff! We have to get to class," Gracelyn yelled. Aine quickly scrambled for her books, looking forward to the lesson ahead.
Piper checked her timetable to double-check what room she was in again. Greenhouse 1, she had Herbology with the Slytherin's, and her professor was Professor Harris
Piper rushed into the greenhouse, she thought she would be very late. It turned out that she was one of the first one's there. She could see a couple of Slytherin boys and a few other Ravenclaw's. She rushed over to take her place next to Alastor, the boy from Ravenclaw.
"Hey Piper," he said.
"Hi Alastor, how are you?" Piper asked.
"I'm fine thank-you," he replied politely.
"Alright students, class will begin now, so pay attention to me. My name is Professor Harris and I am one of the two Herbology professors here, the other is Professor Longbottom," a wheezy, grey-haired professor said.
"My parents are friends with Neville Longbottom," Alasotr whispered.
"Really? That's cool! But you must know heaps of famous people, since your parents are famous and all that," Piper replied.
"Will you two Ravenclaw's please stop chatting up there and pay attention to what I am saying!" Professor Harris called out. Piper blushed, she rarely got into trouble and hated it when she did.
"Sorry," she mumbled.
"Alright, now as you all know you always have to bring your dragon hide gloves to Herbology, otherwise you won't be able to handle any plants," Professor Harris explained. "Now, please turn to the introduction of 1000 Magical Herbs and Fungi and read it."
Piper opened her textbook, she had already read the introduction at home during the holidays, she has read most of her textbooks.
Suddenly the door opened up. "Sorry I'm late," a boy said. He had dark hair and green eyes, standing behind him were another boy and girl. They were all from Slytherin.
"Ah, why thank-you Mr. Fagan for being fashionable," the professor said sarcastically.
"What does fashionable mean?" The Fagan boy asked.
"It means late, now sit down before I give you all a detention," Harris said sharply. The two boys and the girl quickly scurried to their seats.
"Alright, back to class. Have you all finished reading the introduction?" Harris asked, the class nodded. "Alright, so what can you get from that?"
A boy from Ravenclaw put his hand. "Herbology is a very important subject in the Wizarding world, especially in medicine as many plants have been used to cure Wizarding diseases that Muggle medicine cannot cure," the boy replied.
"Well done, Mr. Rayes was it? A point to Ravenclaw," Harris said. "Now, did it list any examples of plants?"
David scribbled down the notes Professor Rhones was writing down on the bored. As far as he could tell it was about the History of Charms and where the incantations came from.
Many incantations used for charms have roots in Latin, the board read, David quickly scribbled it down. This is because many of the incantations were discovered during the time of the Roman Empire.
"This so boring, I thought we would be learning stuff that is actually interesting," Aedan, who was sitting next to David, whispered. David didn't reply, he was actually enjoying learning about this.
"Sir, when are we actually going to do magic?" A boy asked.
"Very soon, maybe by the end of this week but we need to learn how they work and how to perform them first so you should probably get on with your work," Professor Rhones replied, she was a middle-aged witch with dark skin and black hair.
"We have to wait that long?" Aedan whispered.
David had just finished copying the last of the notes on the board when the bell rang. "Alright class, time to pack up, your homework is to read Chapter 1 of Magical Theory," Professor Rhones called out.
"What do we have next again?" Aedan asked.
David checked his timetable. "We have History of Magic in room 36, I think that's on the Third Floor, I think that's where the thirty's and fourty's are," he replied.
David and Aedan followed the rest of their class up the massive set of stairs. Suddenly he tripped and accidently bumped into the boy next to him.
The boy glared at him. "Watch it you idiot," he spat.
"I'm sorry, are you okay?" David asked.
The boy glared some more, David recognised him as Rohan. "I'm fine, now shove off, I don't want to see you again," he continued. David scrambled away, grateful to be away.
"Are you okay? What the hells the matter with that boy?" Aedan asked, glaring back at Rohan.
"Yeah I'm fine, I'm glad we're not in his dorm though, he'd probably make my life hell, I saw him bullying a girl from Huffleouff before. He doesn't seem like the nicest person," David replied.
They waited outside room 36. "Who's our teacher?" James Potter asked.
"Professor Binns, crap I think he's that ghost who's a teacher, Dad told me about him, apparently he sucks and everyone falls asleep in his class," Neville Weasley replied.
"Children, come in," a voice said from inside the room.
They opened the door to reveal a small classroom. A ghost was sitting at the desk, David wondered how a shots could sit.
"Hello children, do sit down, I'm Professor Binns and welcome to History of Magic," the ghost said.
Everyone scrambled to find a seat. David managed to find one in the second row. "Alright everyone, please open your textbook to page 11," Binns said.
David opened his book. The chapter title read, Where Magic Originated.
"Now, contrary to popular belief magic didn't originate in Ancient Egypt but actually hundreds of years before during the Stone Age," Professor Binns said.
David listened, this sounded interesting, but as he droned on David began to tune out. Just like Neville had said. He was grateful when the bell finally rang.
Azealia made her way to the Great Hall after Trasnfiguration. She was in a good mood, she had managed to turn a quill into a stick which she was very happy with.
In the Great Hall the tables were laid out with cookis and muffins. Azealia's face lit up, she loved this sort of stuff. As she made her way to the table she looked around for Aine, she spotted her at the Hufflepuff table talking with another girl.
"Aine!" Azealia called out.
Aine turned around and saw Azealia. "How are you?" Azealia asked.
"Oh I'm good, this place is so great! I'm beginning to feel sorry for Anja, my twin sister, I just had History of Magic and Muggle Studies, they weren't very good, but I'm really looking forward to the better subjects were we use magic," Aine chatted away.
"That's cool, I really like it here to, I had Herbology and Transfiguration which was really good, what do you have next?" Azealia asked.
Aine checked her timetable. "Um, I have Herbology and Defence Against the Dark Arts, both with Gryffindor. Oh, by the way this is Silvie and Gracelyn, guys this is Azealia, my friend in Slytherin," Aine replied.
"Hello," Azealia said to the Hufflepuff girls, then she turned back to Aine. "Alright, that's cool, so do you want to meet after school in the Main Courtyard and we can, you know, hang out?" She asked.
"Sure!" Aine replied happily.
So, I hope you liked it!
