Whoa, I can't believe it's already been over a month since I updated! Time just flies when you're busy.

Thanks to Vengeful Vixen and ronniieroxxx for the reviews. I have a feeling you two are going to like the beginning of this chapter. :)

Just a heads up, the second half of this chapter has a darker tone/mood. I think it's still fine rated T, there wasn't anything too descriptive. Just let me know if I need to change the rating, I really don't want to get in trouble with fanfiction.

It's been a week since Nicara lost her necklace, and she'd been doing absolutely fine. Sure she missed it, since it was very special to her, but life went on. Kaede would always be in her heart, that would never change. However, Grimmjow was right about moving on, she didn't need to be reminded of Kaede every second of her life. Plus the necklace she had now was perfect on her, almost as if she never lost her old one.

It was mid-afternoon, Nicara finished taking a shower and stepped out of the tub, towel wrapped around her body. She walked to the mirror, all fogged up by steam, and wiped it clear, until she could see her own reflection. She applied some makeup and combed her hair, she needed to go to work later on the day, so she took a little extra time trying to make herself more appealing.

She was about done with her makeup when she felt a small tickle on her foot. She looked down to see a black spider, the size of her hand, crawling across her foot.

She screamed immediately. Flinging the creature off her foot, she jumped onto the bathroom counter, trying to get as far away from the invertebrates as possible. Next, she called Grimmjow for help.

"Grimmjow!" she yelled in a panicked voice. Hopefully he would hear her.

"What?" he answered back, a little concerned. His voice was coming from the hallway, slowly traveling into her room.

"I'm in the bathroom, hurry!"

"You've got to unlock the door, woman." he said as he jiggled the handle from the other side.

"I, I can't," she stuttered.

In seconds, Grimmjow kicked the wooden door down. It landed on the floor with a loud thump. His eyes flashed into the bathroom, spotting Nicara, only in a towel, perching on the counter-top.

"What's going on?" he questioned. For all he could see the woman was fine; no hollows or anything.

With a shaky arm, Nicara pointed to a black creature with eight legs."There's a spider in the bathroom!" she exclaimed.

Grimmjow gazed at her with disbelieve. She called him because of a spider? "What do ya want me to do about it?"

"Kill it, or take it outside. Just get it as far away from me as possible!"

Surprisingly, Grimmjow listened to Nicara and caught the spider. Picking it up in his hands, he was about to let it out the window, but decided to be the bastard he was. Instead of letting the spider outside, he walked up to Nicara, and dangled it in front of her face.

"Get that away from me!" she screeched, flinging her arms at him.

Grimmjow howled with laughter. The woman was actually afraid of a fuckin' spider, who knew! He could definitely use this to his advantage. Deciding he had scarred Nicara enough, he went back to the window and let the spider out.

"Is it gone?" she asked as he shut the window.

Grimmjow only laughed "You're afraid of a little fuckin' spider, yet brave enough to attack a hollow. You're just messed up!"

Nicara put a hand on her hip and pouted. "That spider was not little! Did you even see the size of that thing? It was bigger than my hand!"

"You really are nuts," he muttered. "So can I go now? You only called me cause of the spider, right?"

"Um, yeah, thanks." she said sheepishly.

Taking one last glance at Nicara, he was about to make his way out of the washroom until he finally took in his surroundings. Nicara was standing in a towel, tightly wrapped against her body. He knew she didn't have much cleavage, but the towel emphasized her round behind, and slender legs. Her cheeks were rosy with a couple drops of sweat dripping down her forehead. She also had her hair and make up done, so he had to admit she looked kinda hot. It was really turning him on.

For some reason Grimmjow didn't exit right away. Nicara could feel Grimmjow's eyes roaming her body from top to bottom. Her cheeks flushed crimson. Why did she have to be in a towel? "You can go now," she spoke up, hoping he'd leave.

Grimmjow shook his head. "You know what? Maybe I'll stay," he grinned as he sauntered towards her. Backing her against the counter, he placed his hands on both sides of her, trapping her in place. He was incredibly close, invading all her personal space. She tried fidgeting, but needed to clutch her towel so it wouldn't fall off.

His azure orbs flickered from her lips to her eyes as he leaned in. She shut her eyes waiting for his lips to make contact with hers, but they never did. Instead of kissing her like she thought, his lips traveled to her ear and he whispered, "If you're trying to seduce me, then it worked." Nicara tried to slap him, but he caught her hand in mid air. "Too slow," he breathed.

Before Nicara could retort, his lips swiftly pecked her cheek. It was quick and light, absolutely unexpected.

"Put some clothes on, before I need a shower," he smirked as he left the room.

Nicara on the other hand, was left frozen. Her hand slowly travelled to the spot Grimmjow's lips had just touched, she could still feel a tingle radiating off her cheek. What in the world happened? Did Grimmjow actually kiss her? It wasn't on the lips or anything, however, still a kiss. The big question was, why?

Right as Nicara started work, Ken walked in and seated himself in one of her tables. She hadn't seen him since their coffee hangout and he hadn't texted or anything. She thought he moved on with some other girls, so seeing im here tonight was a bit of a surprise.

"Hey, you're back."

"Yeah, couldn't stay away from my girl"

Nicara raised a brow. "Sorry, but I'm not anyone's girl." She hated when men thought they owned her.

"Not yet, but you'll be soon."

Nicara rolled her eyes, why wouldn't this guy just give up. She was no prettier than any of the other waitresses here. She was just an average, typical looking girl. No huge ass, or size D breasts, so why did he like her? It didn't make any sense. She noticed his eyes on her chest."Is there something on my face?"

He snapped out of his stare. "No, but did you get a new necklace?"

"Uh, yeah," she answered, astonished. No one at school or work had noticed so far, so she didn't expect him to.

"What happened to your other one?"

"Oh nothing," she lied, "I just wanted to change things up a little."

"Really?" he questioned, not believing her answer. "Then I guess this isn't yours." He pulled out a heart pendant from his pockets, which was none other than Nicara's.

She gasped, quickly taking it into her hands. "Where did you find this?"

Ken shrugged, "One of my friends found it. He was going to sell it for money, but once I recognized it I bought it off him."

"Thanks you so much," She beamed in happiness, taking him into a friendly hug. "You have no idea how hard I've been trying to find it." Kanade's necklace, which she thought was lost forever, was now in her very hands. There was a small scratch and a bit of dirt on it, but she didn't care. She had regained her most prized possession, nothing could foul her mood now.

"No problem."

"How much did you buy it back for? I don't have much cash on me, but I could go to the bank tomorrow."

Ken shook his head, "No money, just go out on a date with me tonight and I'll call it paid for."

Nicara thought about it for a moment. She couldn't exactly say no, he did find Kanade's necklace. If it weren't for him, she'd never would've gotten it back.

"Alight," she finally agreed. It was the least she could do.

"Then It's a date, see you later," he winked at her as he left.

The night turned out busier than Nicara expected, so she didn't get off until around ten. She fixed her hair up a little before meeting up with Ken.

"Hey, sorry bout the wait."

"No worries." he said, taking one of her hands into his. "As long as I get my date with you."

In most cases Nicara would've pushed his hand away, but she was in a good mood, lucky him. "Why do you want to go out with me so badly?" she asked out of curiosity.

"I have my reasons," he said with a sly grin.

"Are you going to tell me?"

Ken chuckled, "You 'll find out soon enough."

They walked through the streets of downtown, stopping when they reached a park. They sat on a bench, staring at the stars, at least that's what Nicara thought they were doing. It was kinda awkward rather than romantic since they were actually dating. Usually this stuff was saved for higher stages in a relationship. There was so much silence, it seemed like Ken was paying more attention to his phone than her.

"Are you cold?" he suddenly asked. It was the first thing he said since they arrived at the park.

"Just my hands."

"You wait here, I'll go get you a drink from the stand around the corner."

"It's alright, I don't..." she trailed off. He didn't listen, and was already out of sight. Nicara sighed, this was the most boring date so far. It was weird though. Ken tried so hard to get a date with her, yet he hardly said anything to her within the last hour. He seemed a lot more sociable on their coffee hangout, but tonight he'd been so quiet.

After what seemed like twenty minutes, Ken rounded the corner, returning with a cup of hot chocolate.

"Sorry, I got caught up with some friends." he said as he handed her the cup.

Nicara took a sip. It wasn't even hot, just warm. Behind the creamy chocolate flavors there was this weird bitter taste to it. However, she didn't want to be rude and complain, so she brushed it off. She glanced at her phone, it was almost midnight now, she usually would've been home already.

"Hey Ken, It's getting late, so I think I'll head home now." She got off the bench and started to walk. But before she could make it three feet, her head started to spin and vision went blurry. What was wrong with her? With one hand she clutched her head, the other trying to find something to hold on to for support. Ken must've noticed her struggling to stay upright, because she bumped into his chest and gripped his arm.

"You feeling dizzy?" he asked. Nicara nodded in response. He smirked, "Good, it's working."

"What...?" Before she could utter another word, something hard hit the back of her head. Immediately she collapsed on the ground, her mind turning black.

"Woof! Woof!" Ari barked throughout the house, attempting to get Grimmjow's attention.

Grimmjow, however, was ignoring Ari, and just continued to focus his attention on the TV.

Ari could sense the danger, not coming after them, but his master. As much as Ari disliked Grimmjow, he knew he also cared for Nicara. If only he could get his attention. He did what he had to do, mark his territory on Grimmjow.

He jumped up immediately. "Yuck! That's disgusting! What do you want, dog?" Ari just whined, giving Grimmjow puppy dog eyes. "Look I dunno what the fuck you're saying. Besides, I'm part panther, not mutt."

Ari tugged on Grimmjow's pant leg, and ran to Nicara's room. Grimmjow sighed, he absolutely despised the mutt, but still followed. Ari was on Nicara's bed, whining. Maybe he missed her?

"Yeah, yeah, Nicara's not home yet." Come to think of it, she'd usually be home an hour ago. "She's probably handing out with her new boy toy," he grumbled. Even though Nicara said they were 'just friends,' Grimmjow didn't quite believe it. Last week, when he caught them hugging, her face was so flustered. If she didn't have any feelings for the guy at all, why would she be so embarrassed?

Ari continued to whine, it almost sounded like he was sobbing. Grimmjow didn't know what to do, how was he suppose to comfort a dog? As if on cue, Grimmjow's phone started to vibrate, it was an incoming call from Nicara. He quickly picked up.

"Grimmjow?" Her voice sounded like she was in a panic.

"Where the fuck are you?"

"Grimmjow, please listen, I - " she was cut off, the line turning into static.

"Nicara's in trouble." Grimmjow stated, finally putting the pieces together. Ari barked, giving him a yes.

Nicara watched as Ken crumpled her phone into pieces. She had Grimmjow on speed dial, but her hands were tied up, which made it hard to press the buttons. Unfortunately, Ken came back into the room just as she got contact with him, destroying any chance of receiving help. At the moment she was tied up against a chair in what looked like some cheap hotel room. There was a bed, and a washroom around the corner.

"Let me go!" she screeched.

"Shut up, would ya? Or do you want me to tape up your mouth?"

Suddenly, they heard the door creek, along with several pair of footsteps. Three men walked into the room, two of which looked familiar, and the third one was none other than Shou. Chills ran down her back immediately. She never thought she'd have to see him again.

"Nicara," he greeted in an ominous tone, "Nice to see you again."

"What do you want?" she spat. He was obviously testing her patience.

He toyed with the pedant around her neck , giving it a good tug so he could whisper into her ear."I want to finish what I started." He stoked her cheek and her jaw. "Such a pretty face." His fingers were touching her lips now, so she took the chance and bit his hand, hard.

Shou jerked back immediately, his fingers about to bleed. "You little bitch!" he sneered.

"Sir, do you want me to tape up her mouth?"

"No, no, it's alright, I want to make sure I hear her scream my name later. For now, I want the three of you to wait outside and guard the perimeter."

Ken and the other two men left, leaving Nicara alone in the room with Shou.

He untied her from the chair as he declared, "Let's get started, shall we?"

Before she could protest, she was thrown onto the bed. Arms pinned above her head as he straddled her, her legs and hands still tied. She tried struggling, but couldn't throw him off.

"Why me?" she whimpered.

"Don't worry," he assured her. "You're not my only victim. It's just that your blue haired friend ticked me off the last time, so we'll call it pay back. Anyways, if it weren't for him, I would've gotten you that very night."

"How about Ken?"

"He works for me. I just got him to lure you."

"Him liking me, it was all fake, wasn't it?" She knew it was too good to be true. No guy, as handsome as he was, would be so keen on going out with her and notice such small details after one day.

"Yup, I told him to steal your necklace and find out where you live." He leaned in, licking where neck meet's shoulder. "Your skin's so soft," he said, moaning into her neck. Next his hands went up and under her shirt. He started painfully groping her breasts, causing her fearful gasps.

Her body shook with despair as he started to unbutton her shirt. She was helpless with her hands and legs tied. The only thing she could do left was intimidate him with threats.

"Don't you dare go any further! Grimmjow, if he finds out what you've done, he'll kill you!"

He stopped his actions, but didn't look frightened at all. "Oh? But he won't. According to my sources he's still at your house, watching TV with your mutt. But don't worry, I'll drop you off at home once I'm finished."

"He'll come, you'll see!"

His face grew serious. "Your not in the position to be threatening me, I am. And I say he's not coming, plus I don't think he'd want a broken up bitch." He untied the rope on her hands, took a firm grip of Nicara's left wrist, squeezing it hard until the sound of snapping could be heard.

Nicara screamed in pain, tears rolling from her eyes. She never thought this would happen to her. She never worried about it. She wasn't very pretty or hot, why would any guy want to rape her? She was wrong, she should have been more careful.

Giving her forceful kisses and scratches along her body, all she could do was lay there feeling broken. Her arms were free now, but she could only clutch her left wrist in agony.

He started molesting her again. "Any last words?"

"Stop," she moaned. She hardly had any energy left, her body had taken so much abuse. "Grimmjow, anybody!" she cried in desperation.

"Don't worry, it'll be over soon." he sneered as he began to unclothe himself. "Just open wide," he commanded.

The door suddenly burst open, revealing a very angry Grimmjow. She could tell he was no longer in his gigai; he had a mask fragment on his right jaw and his clothes were different, white with black outline. With his foul mood, his control over his reiatsu was very poor, effecting both Nicara and Shou.

"H-How?" Shou stuttered. "You're suppose to still be at home!"

"Oh, you can see me? Then I guess it's okay if I attack you."

Before Shou could react, Grimmjow already flash stepped in front and pounded him against the wall. He took the man by the collar of his shirt.

"I could fuckin' kill you so easily right now. I'd be doing a favor to many woman out there."

"You wouldn't! The police, they'll be all over you!"

Grimmjow laughed, it sounded dark, sinister. "You think I'm scarred of the fuckin' police?" He let go of Shou, dropping him to the ground only to stomp on his arm, earning a snap.

"You bastard!" Shou screamed in pain. Grimmjow kicked him, knocking him back against the wall. He squatted down so he was eye level with Shou. "You still think I'm scarred to kill ya?"

Shou shook his head. This blue-haired guy was a madman. He could only hope he'd live to see tomorrow. "Please spare me! I learned my lesson, I'll do whatever you want!"

Grimmjow grabbed the man by the throat, standing back up while squeezing the air out of him.

"Begging will get you no where. Any last words?"

"Please, have mercy," he managed to choke out.

"I don't give mercy to bastard's like you."

Before Grimmjow could snap Shou's neck, he felt a pair of arms loop around his waist. Instantly, he froze, beginning to remember the real reason he was here.

Nicara had been watching the scene the entire time. At first she was recovering from her own anxiety. However, she could tell Grimmjow's temper was getting the best of him. He already broke Shou's arm, but it didn't look like it was going to stop there. As fast as her shaky hands could go, she untied the ropes bounding her legs together. Her legs where wobbly, but she couldn't let Grimmjow kill Shou, as much as she wanted him dead.

Just before he could snap the man's windpipe, Nicara threw her arms around Grimmjow's abdomen, hoping to calm him down.

"Don't," she whispered.

"Why the fuck not?" he growled through gritted teeth.

"Soul Society -"

"Like I give a shit!"

"Grimmjow, just listen to me, please." Her grip tightened around him. "Don't kill him, he's not worth it."

It was silent in the room, the only sound that could be heard was heavy breathing from all three figures.

Grimmjow gave a furious sigh before releasing Shou. He gave him one final glare before turning around to face Nicara who looked like hell. What was left of her clothes barely clinging to her body. He shrugged his jacket off and placed it over her shoulder. She was trembling, in no condition to walk, so he scooped her up into his arms and took her home.

On the way home, tears fell from Nicara's eyes, but he couldn't blame her. She could only bury her head into her hands, trying to hide the weeping. There wasn't much he could say to make her stop, so he didn't bother uttering a word.

As soon as they arrived home, he gently placed her in bed, pulling the blankets over her body. Grimmjow turned to leave, but Nicara latched onto his arm.

"Stay," she whispered, barely audible.

"What?"

"Please stay with me tonight." She didn't want to sleep alone tonight, she needed some sort of company by her side. She was afraid, and when Grimmjow was by her side it made her feel safe. Like nothing could hurt her, because he'd always be there to protect her from danger.

Grimmjow sighed, but crawled into the sheets anyways. He wanted to go back and teach those bastards a lesson, or at least cool off. However, Nicara looked so fragile at the moment, like she really needed him here, so he couldn't say no.

Nicara rested her head against his shoulder. The two of them lay there, relaxing through each other's company. Softly, she took one of Grimmjow hands into hers, before saying, "Promise me you won't go back and kill them."

He let go of her hand immediately and turned away, ignoring her request.

She knew he wouldn't comply so easily, but she still had to try. "Grimmjow, please," she begged, struggling to get him to face her. She placed a hand on his shoulder, but he shook it off.

"Go to sleep."

"But-"

"Go to sleep," he sternly repeated. "Otherwise I'll leave."

The room went silent after that. He stayed facing the other way, so she turned the opposite direction as well, their backs facing each other. Nicara could only pry that everything would be alright.

This is the longest chapter I've written so far, just over 4000 words! Even with the darker mood, I thought it turned out pretty good. What do you guys think?
