YOU WOULDN'T LIKE ME

Chapter 21

I know guys, I haven't updated in too long but I'll try to keep it up. Let me know what you think about this one.

Lindsey POV

„Tegan are you insane? " Sara yells as she enters the room. She grabs Tegan's arm and drags her into the bathroom. I quickly get up and put my ear against the wood.

"What's your problem, Sar?"

"My problem? You know what you're doing is unfair!" Unfair?

"I have to…I love Lindsey" Tegan's voice sounds weak but Lindsey still can't shake the huge grin off her face.

"I thought you love Lisa?" Lisa? That Lisa? Lisa from Montenegro?

"I do!" Tegan yells. "But Lindsey is my soul mate."

"The soul mate that cheats the first time you were away for a few months and gets pregnant?" A silence overcomes the room. I badly want to storm in and defend myself but I know that won't work. Sara's right.

"Remember when you told me you hated cheaters?" Sara continues "Well congratulations you've just become one"

I hear somebody approaching the door and quickly make my way back to the couch. Sara makes sure to give me a death glare before leaving the dressing room. Silent sobs echo from the bathroom and I'm not sure if I should check on Tegan or not. As the sobs get louder I can't hold it anymore. I get on my feet, trying to be as quiet as possible as I enter the room. Tegan sits on the ground, face in her hands and knees at her chest. She doesn't look up as I sit down next to her and put my hand on her back to rub soothing circles.

"So… You're with Lisa?" I interrupt the awkward silence.

"I'm so sorry Linds…I forgot about her" She cries louder.

"Do you love her?" I ask quietly afraid of the answer. She looks up at me and slowly nods her head. My heart breaks into pieces.

"Do you want me to go?" My voice is barely hearable.

"No…please don't go" She buries her face into my neck and takes my hand.

"I want you near me…forever" She adds.

"Even after what happened?"

Our eyes meet and it feels like the first time. She slowly leans in and captures my lips in a breathtaking kiss. She pulls away and rests her forehead against mine.

"I love you" she whispers.

"I love you too, Tee"

Sara POV

I can't believe Lindsey's back. How can Tegan even look her in the eye? They both should be ashamed, Lindsey for what she did to Tegan and Tegan for what she did to Lisa. Poor Lisa, this girl can't take any more. Tegan already left her once because of Lindsey, she treats her more like a friend than a partner and now she'll get back together with LB. I thought Tegan loves her.

"Hey Sara" I hear a cheery voice call. Fuck.

"Hi Lisa, what's up?" I act normal.

"Nothing much, where's Tegan? I bought her the new Paramore album." She waves the CD in the air.

"Ehm…She is… I don't know…" I try to make up something.

"Is everything alright?" She asks concerned.

"Yeah, sure why shouldn't…everything be alright?" I reply. She shrugs and reaches for the dressing room door. I quickly react.

"Do you wanna go get coffee?" I ask politely.

"Sure, I'll just get my purse from the dressing room"

"You don't need a p…" It's too late. Lisa's already standing in the middle of the dressing room and as her head turns to the open bathroom door she freezes.

"Tegan…you…again?" Her voice cracks and you know what's gonna come next.

She kneels on the floor and cries into her palm. Tegan runs out of the bathroom and kneels down in front of Lisa.

"Lisa… please"

"FUCK YOU TEGAN" She pushes Tegan against the wall.

There was a moment of silence before Tegan tried to apologies again.

"I'm sorry…" She says softly.

"SHUT UP…" Lisa screams. She throws the CD and it almost hit Tegan's head. The pieces fall to the floor and Lisa runs out of the room without turning back.

Lisa POV

She did it again! She fucking did it again! I thought this time was for real. Was it all worthless? Everything I did for her, I made her smile, made her laugh. I was there whenever she needed me. Lindsey didn't even do half the thing I did for her. She still likes Lindsey more than me? I can't believe this, she said she loved me. She said that all she wanted in the future was to make me happy. Maybe she was just imagining I was Lindsey. I should have seen it coming though.

I had been walking for quite a while before I finally stopped at the end of a pier. I hear steps approaching the spot, now there's no way of avoiding her.

"Go away Tegan" I try to hide my sadness.

"Lisa please…let me explain" She doesn't even sound like she did something wrong.

"I don't want to hear your voice or see your face…you broke me Tee" Tears creep up my eyes.

"I know…I wish I had an excuse, but I don't…" She sits down next to me and keeps her eyes at the ocean.

"Why Tegan?" She turns her head and our eyes meet. I will miss them forever.

"She has this hold on me…I can't do anything" Her voice seems weak.

"Even after what she did?"

"Yeah…I even feel guilty about what happened." Tears form in her eyes.

"That's stupid"

"I can't control it…She makes me feel…different"

"Happy?" I question.

"You made me happy Lisa, but she gives me something else…I can't explain what it is"

"Just fucking explain it Tegan…I want to know right now" Normally I like Tegan's mysterious side but right now it's just annoying.

"It's the feeling that I have a future…that I won't live a boring life and that I will always have somebody beside me." Wow this actually makes me feel worse.

"And you think I can't make you happy?"

"Lisa, beside her, you are the only woman, that can make me happy but I just feel like something's missing"

I can't control the tears anymore as they spill all over my face. She tries to put her arm over my shoulder but I shrug it off.

"I'm so sorry Lisa" She says.

"Can you just please leave me alone" She nods and stands up doing what I asked her to do.

That's it, it's over. There's only one thing left to do.
