"It all started when I first arrived and I pretty much bribed Natalie to have some lunch with me...since all of my other attempts were being shot down."
"So I had to get a little forceful and tell her who has been spying on you two. I didn't flat out tell her though since I am binded by a galactic oath." Jordan begins his story as he observes that not only was Eva attentive but Aikka was also.
"So right off the back, you bribed her to going on a date with you? That's so typical of you!"
"But keep going on with your story." She encouraged since she felt that there was something else behind the story.
"While we were there, I was using my powers to read her mind to see whether or not she was enjoying spending time with me but my little plan backfired."
"Natalie found a way to block me out when she was attentive to what she was doing and not only that but she managed to use my technique against me." He picked up where he left off as he made sure that Natalie could hear him from the cracked door.
"Natalie managed to use your own technique against you? That's pretty impressive but that isn't why you two were arguing, is it?" The young woman queried because that scenario seemed as if they were very childish and that harsh words were not needed for that.
"Nope. When she checked Princess Mai's belongings, I haleaned over to touch her arm because she seemed so intent to find something in her bag."
"Ever since I told her to keep a close eye on Princess Mai." The golden figure reveals the real reason why she and him currently feud.
"Did you do it on purpose?"
"I mean Natalie may have thought that since you did it the first time in order to gain some information. She would feel the exact same if you did it the second time."
"Did you ever stop to think about that?" Aikka investigated the intergalactic dignitary's thoughts on how the woman felt in the situation.
'Thank you King Aikka, at least someone understands what I am going through.' Natalie merrily thought.
Her back along with her right foot were flat against the wall while her hands were behind her back and eyes closed with content to hear his excuse.
"Aikka, you of all people should know that if I feel strongly about someone then I'm just focused on them."
"Why don't you ask your wife for that answer?" Jordan stated when he crossed his arms across his chest when he asked the question.
"Jordan, why do you always have to make it about you? That's the problem right there!"
"Maybe if you were to take Natalie's feelings into consideration then she may probably like you." The raven haired woman with crimson tips voice was calm but was peeved at the nerve he would ask her husband such a question.
He briefly paused as if a thought passed through mind head as if he was going to consider it and then it went away like that, "So am I free to go or do you have to go get the other one?"
"You know as a Captain, I would think that eavesdropping was below you?" A feminine voice spoke.
Natalie was instantly opening and cutting her eyes over to see Princess Mai in very revealing pajamas that were absolutely unfit for a princess to wear.
"If you must know I wasn't eavesdropping."
"As you can see the King and Queen are talking to a very important guest. It would be rude of me to interrupt them with the news that I have to tell them." She half lied but the latter part of her statement was true.
"It sounds as if they are going to be in there for a while, could you do me the honor and show me where the dining hall is? I haven't had anything to eat since leaving my home to come here." Mai stated.
At first, she was planning to run in to the king again in her pajamas but was bum to see the captain standing guard at the door.
"I don't see anything wrong with that."
"Matter of fact, I have to met my father down there in a couple of minutes." The raven haired woman gave an excuse to keep an eye on the princess.
A thought passed through her head. 'She's very confident that her plan will work out.'
'She must really think I'm dumb enough to let her bait King Aikka to her arms and away from his true love, Queen Eva.'
'Oh, I'm not going to have no home wrecker messing up the King and Queen's relationship.' The young woman vowed to herself.
Her green eyes behold Princess Mai with a smile on her face and her eyes close.
"Is that all that you two were arguing about?!" Eva snapped Jordan back from his thoughts as his eyes were set on the door.
"That's pretty much it. I asked her about the images that I saw and she snapped at me about that." He answered her question with an inward smile.
"We're going to have to cut this short. Eva has a doctor appointment."
"She has to go too and we don't want to be late for that, now do we?" Aikka directs to his significant.
However, his eyes were dead set on the Avatar so that he would not try anything crazy whenever he was around his wife alone.
She senses the tension in the room and figures that if she did not hurry and get out the bed then there may be a full fledge throw down in her bedroom.
Besides, she was not going to have that.
"Now you know I don't want to go…whatever I told you last night, scratch it from your head." The raven haired woman with crimson tips deliberately pouts.
She then crosses her arms and throws a small temper tantrum while she lays out on the bed.
"Sorry no can do. You are three months away from your due month so let's go." The orange haired male gently ordered. He had to convince his wife to complete her task for today or there would be no point to leave the bed.
The Noursaian rose from his feet, made his way around their bed, stopped in front of her, and extended his hands in front of him.
He knew that if his wife reached out then she was going to go and if she did not he was not going to push the matter any further.
Her crimson eyes then gazes at him and could tell that either choice she chooses he was perfectly fine and content with it.
"I swear you are too good to me sometimes." The pregnant woman was uttering after sticking her arms out and locking her hands within his.
The golden figure felt as if he needed to vomit after he witnessed the scene in front of him.
He already knew that he was the better man because if he did not sacrifice his life for Eva then she would not be this…happy being a wife let only a mommy to two and one on the way.
"I'll take my leave but if Natalie is serious about that restraining order..."
"I mean I do like visiting you guys here on Nourasia when I did my rounds for the day." The intergalactic dignitary wonders about whether or not the captain's threat to him with last night at the Royal Gardens was true.
"Now you know that she's an extremely stubborn so she may or may not. That's a question you are going to have to ask her yourself." The queen voiced again after she rose to her feet and began to search around the room for clothes.
"Well then, I hope I have cleared up any confusion that I may have cause. I think I need to talk to Rick before I leave again." Jordan uses that as an excuse to leave the room.
He was quietly wondering if Natalie was still outside eavesdropping in on their conversation.
0000
Natalie exhaled a small sneeze while she quickly covered her nose so germs would not spread on the food that Princess Mai has on her plate in her hand.
"Excuse me, I didn't mean to sneeze on you if I did." She apologizes.
The raven haired woman reaches over, grabs a wipe and cleans her hands before she touches anyone or anything that could get them sick.
"We have an old belief that whenever you randomly sneeze and you aren't sick...someone is talking bad about you." Mai offers before she removes a seat from the dining room table and places her rump in it.
"I can somewhat believe that belief." The solider confirms with a small smile on her face since the princess did not know just how close she came to the truth.
"For me, I think it's a good thing. They constantly have you on their mind even though they might not like you."
"Ironic, huh? How we hate something so much that we end up loving it." The woman remarks.
For some reason, her advice rubbed her the wrong way the way for two reasons: how it was said it but more importantly the time of her advice.
'It sounds as if she knows too much about me already. I better reinforce the wall.' The captain assumed when she swore she saw a golden speck of light that instantly caught her attention.
"Its nothing like waking up to a beautiful maiden's face, I must've died and went to heaven." Natalie registered it was Jordan, or the Avatar's voice, but what she witnessed next would be forever engraved in her memory.
He took a seat that was way to close to Princess Mai. His hand rests on her cheek while the free hand lays in her hand intwine in his own hands.
She seemed caught off guard by his action but did not instantly move from the sudden intrusion of her personal space.
"I didn't know that I was going to be in the presence of the Avatar? I would have worn something more presentable." Mai faked an excuse before she swore she felt a dark aura nearby.
It made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up plus goosebumps surfaced on her arms.
The princess peeked up to see Captain Natalie with a dark purple and black ominous aura around her as her eyes were no longer visible.
She speedily settles left hand on the Avatar's right shoulder and in a grave tone speaks the following words, "I thought I told you to leave this castle? I can arrest you for harassing a guest of the Royal Family."
"Well I'm sorry to hear about that, I won't be able to have a full conversation with you."
"Your future seems quite ambitious if I may say so myself. I like my women with goals." The golden figure responds back before he removes his hands from against Mai's face.
"Isn't there a way that I can keep him here? I mean he is the Avatar, so he could be my guest to show me around Noursaia." Mai starts to make excuses for him to stay as her guest.
Natalie mentally shook her head and predicted that Jordan had something planned up his sleeves.
"On the grounds of visitations...then yes I can't do anything about it but on the grounds of a stay longer than one day, which is something that he didn't tell us about, then no he cannot due to safety hazards." She offered two solutions for the scenario that she described.
"Thank you Captain Natalie, you really do have a heart of gold." The princess happily proclaims, as it was just all a part of her plan to win Aikka over before the end of her trip.
Plus, she would soon become queen of both her kingdom and his.
"Thank you for allowing me to accompy you Princess Mai but something you just said came to my attention. I mean Princess Mai, how long have you know Captain Natalie in order to say that she has a heart of gold?" The intergalactic dignitary inquistively questions since he decides to change the subject.
"This looks good. Captain Natalie?" Jordan was snapping his fingers as if she was a dog heeding his commands.
"Yes, what is?" Natalie asked simply because she wanted to hear what outlandish request he would want her to do.
"Can you feed me those over there, the green grapes? I mean my arms are simply killing me since I had to rebuild an entire world's civilization over again today." He requested when he exaggerated the latter part of his question but Princess Mai seemed to roll with it.
The raven haired woman stood there in complete awe as she wondered where in the world did he gather the nerve to request her to do something like that. Avatar or not, she would still refuse to do it.
"You know you have a hand so all you have to do is pick it up and put it in your mouth?" The solider was calmly offering her suggestion but instead of looking at her his focus was completely on Mai.
"However, you should try to present Noursaia to Princess Mai as a civilized kingdom where it cares for the needs of the king and queen's guests?"
"I'm sure King Aikka and Queen Eva chose you for that particular reason to serve as 'campus security'. Don't you agree with me, Princess Mai?" The Avatar technically presents facts against her.
The young woman developed the feeling that the longer she remained in this argument than she would surely lose.
"Oh, she did a fabulous job, when she came to greet me! I do must say it was a very unique approach when she came out and did it herself."
"I would usually be free to explore the castle on my own or there would be like this perky tour guide always trying to convince me to do something. It was like it was natural when I met Captain Natalie." The princess compliments her creative approach and sees the woman wears a smirk on her face.
'Shows how much you really know, you idiot.' The captain deems when she remembers that her hand still rests on his shoulder and decides to remove it.
"You don't say, huh? I mean what can you expect when you graduate the top of your class, the youngest and so far the only female to ever hold the rank of a Captain?"
"Do you see a promotion in your future so you can break down more walls?" Jordan asked with what would seem like genuine questions to someone who did not know him but to Natalie he had a hidden meaning behind those questions.
Mai's eyes grow wide from pure shock as she begins to wonder what else she needs to take in to account for the woman name Natalie. She quickly starts to become one of the possible threats to her plan.
"That's amazing! I mean there aren't a lot of women that are in the military or deal with anything like that. My kingdom doesn't quite have that yet but I have been encouraging some women to be active with their decisions."
"Isn't she just a wonderful humanitarian, Captain Andros? You don't find those around often either, do you?" He catechized with his poker face in front of their naive guest.
"Unfortunately not, since I deal with people who wants something that the other country has and they don't. Either they are just so gung-ho on trying to take over a planet"
"But my all time favorite the so called anti-movement that is really nothing but a terrorist attacks on Noursaia." The raven haired woman verbalized as she silently wished her statement landed close to the duo's homes.
"It sounds like you deal with a lot as a Captain, do you like having that kind of power?" The princess wonders while she already begins to draw up plans on how to eliminate the woman in front of her.
"Actually that is the General's job…all I do is command a group of soldiers when time calls for it but we are pretty much like a family." The solider simplified her way of talk since she knew military lingo was something Mai wanted to get an earful of in order for her plan to run smoothly.
"That sounds so boring, I mean come on, you know you like how your heart begins to beat faster and causes your adrenaline to start to rush."
"Then you get to expound all of that energy on the opposing team and please don't let them be weaker then you are…it makes it worth while then."
"I mean you're in the air, you have people shooting at you and you can't help but to smile because you know your superior flight skills can outdo your opponent. At least, that is what I heard about people who serve in the military." Mai stated as Natalie just sat there looking at the Avatar and Princess Mai.
'This is going to be a long day today…' The young woman dreadfully assumed after she rested her hand on her head.
