So, I was really happy with how I ended this story, as I'm sure most everyone was. However, I'm kinda sad that I didn't get to write much about the romantic aspect of Jake and Erin's relationship.

I'm not going to turn this into a chapter book or anything, since I'm already working on one of those. This'll be more of a series of short stories to show certain aspects of their lives after I ended the story. For example, this 'chapter' will be their first date.

I've got a few ideas for what I want to write about, either significant events or just random moments. However, if you've got any specific things you want to see, either moments with Erin, Jake, the pack, the girls, family…; I'm open to suggestions!

A loud car horn made Erin hurry outside, completely ignoring her mother, who was demanding to know who was making so much noise so early in the morning. 9:00 in the morning on a Saturday was early in her books, especially when she had a hangover after another rendezvous the night before.

Erin hurried across her front yard and got in the front passenger seat of the red Volkswagen Rabbit, putting her bag by her feet. "Okay, we can go." she announced as she buckled her seatbelt.

Jake chuckled as he shifted the car into drive. "Excited?"

She looked sheepishly at her lap. "Maybe a little." she admitted.

He reached over with one hand and grabbed hers. "Don't be embarrassed. It's good for my ego."

Erin rolled her eyes at him, but couldn't keep the smile off her face.

"You got your pain meds?" he asked after a moment.

"Yes, they're in the small pocket in my bag, but I should be fine most of today, I just took one a little bit ago." she answered. She had to take no more than two pills a day for her pain medication because of her concussion, as well as her antidepressants once a day. Her doctor had warned her to be careful, since taking other medications while on antidepressants can cause side effects.

"Good." Jake smiled at her as they passed the 'Welcome to La Push' sign, heading down the road toward Port Angeles. Jake wouldn't tell her where they were going, just a place that serves breakfast and lunch. At around 10:20 they pulled into the parking lot of Chestnut Cottage Restaurant. They walked inside and were seated next to a large window near a small, indoor, potted tree.

"This all looks so good." Erin commented as she looked over the menu. "And by the way, you are not paying for my food." she told him sternly.

"Yes I am." he answered instantly without even looking up from his menu.

"No, you are not." Erin responded, fighting a small smirk.

Jake peaked up at her. "Erin, it's a date. It's our first date, I am paying for our food."

Erin glared lightly at him for several moments before she caved. "Fine, but I'm paying the tip."

Jake chuckled, looking back at his menu. "Deal."

When the waitress asked for their drinks, Jake ordered a Dr. Pepper and Erin ordered Hot Chocolate, which Jake briefly teased her about because the menu included numerous items such as coffees, teas, espressos, lattes, and a few others, and she went for a simple Hot Chocolate. Erin's response was sticking her tongue out at him.

When they were ready to order their food, Erin ordered the Garden Scramble and Jake ordered the Fruited Waffle, which was a Belgian waffle with fruit on top, the Farmer's Omelet, and Blintzes topped with strawberries, because Erin had voiced how delicious that dish also sounded, so he offered to share.

Erin decided she was giving the waitress a $10 tip the second she saw the young woman carry their whole order out on a single tray with no visible problems. That in itself was an amazing feat.

They spent the meal eating, talking, joking, sharing their food, and occasionally stealing food from each other's plates. It was both casual and romantic at the same time, and Erin loved every minute of it.

They stayed a few hours before Jake paid the bill, which he refused to let Erin see, even though she'd already figured it'd be over fifty bucks with the price of everything they ordered. He paid and she left the $10 tip she agreed to, and then the two left, holding hands on the short walk to the Rabbit.

They walked around to some shops in the downtown area for a couple hours before deciding to head back toward home for the day.

"So, did you have a good time?" Jake asked as he drove down the highway.

Erin smiled over at him, perfectly content and happy with how the day went. "Yeah, I did."

Not sure if I'm content with how this one turned out, but I was more focused on the next one I want to write. Since they need to be in order I needed to write this one first, though. Anyway, let me know if you've got any ideas!
