Erin's eyes scanned her history notes in her notebook, trying to memorize as many details as she could for her final coming up in less than two weeks. Her I-pod was playing through some songs as background music. Her brain was starting to hurt trying to remember all the different dates, wars, and names.
'Let's get it started,…in heeeere.'
Erin's eyes went to the I-pod, her lips fighting a smile as the song 'Let's get it Started' by the Black Eyed Peas started playing. After a few moments, her head started nodding subtly along with the beat. Her smile grew when the rap-part started, the drumbeat picking up. Her thoughts quickly left her homework as she started patting her leg with the beat, her head bobbing with a little more vigor and her whole body moving.
With a laugh, she hopped off her bed, turned the volume up on her I-pod, and started dancing along with the song, not noticing the figure at her bedroom window. She clapped and bobbed her head and swayed her hips to the music. She sang along with the few parts she knew, laughing whenever she messed up the words. It was the perfect way to let loose after three hours of studying.
She was a couple minutes into the song when-
"Ya having fun?"
Erin gave a short scream in shock, spinning around to see Jake leaning in through her open bedroom window, his arms crossed atop the windowsill. He was grinning in amusement, one brow lifted.
"Jake!" she squeaked before clearing her throat. "Um, wh-how long were you standing there?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Mm, pretty much when the song started." His grin widened. "Didn't know you were such a great dancer." he teased.
Erin glared at him. "Shut up."
