"So now she's pissed because she has no access to my bank account and can't take money out whenever she wants." Erin finished her story about the last argument she'd gotten in with her mother, the main reason she was currently hanging out in Jake's garage.
"That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard." Jake called from where he had his head under the hood of his latest project, a blue 1995 Ford Explorer, while Erin sat in the front passenger seat. "You've worked your butt off to earn that money, and she's got her own job. Maybe she should quit spending it on sex and booze."
Erin snorted. "Yeah, like that'll happen. As long as guys pay her attention, she'll never quit, and as long as she dresses like a prostitute whenever she goes out, guys will always pay attention to her."
"Only sleaze ball type guys that can't do any better." Jake commented.
"Pretty much." Erin agreed with a small grin.
"Hey, can you get my ratchet from the tool bench?"
"Sure." Erin got out of the car and approached Jake's extensive tool bench, her eyes easily found the ratchet he asked for, since she'd helped him enough to recognize it, but when she also saw his wrench sitting right next to, an idea formed in her head. She smirked, picking both the ratchet and the wrench up in each hand.
She approached Jake and paused for a moment to appreciate the sight of her shirtless boyfriend with his head under the hood of a car, a light sheen of sweat making his skin glisten whenever his muscles flexed. After a few moments she held the wrench out to him, keeping the ratchet subtly hidden behind her back. "Here you go." she announced innocently.
Jake took the tool without looking, but when he lowered it toward what he was working on, his eyes landed on it and he realized it wasn't a ratchet. He turned his head and examined Erin's seemingly innocent expression.
"You do know what a ratchet is, right?" he asked, fighting a smirk.
She blinked wide, innocent gray eyes at him. "Isn't that what I just handed you?"
Jake shook his head slowly at her, a smirk tugging one corner of his lips up. "No, Erin, it's not."
"Oh, is it this thing, then?" she asked, pulling the ratchet out from behind her back.
Jake stood up straight and leaned his hip against the bumper of the car. "Yeah, that'd be it. May I have it, now, please?" he asked, holding his hand out expectantly.
Erin bit her lip, thoughtfully examining the tool in her hand. "Hmm, how about you come and get it?" she suggested playfully, backing up a few steps.
Jake smirked, placing the wrench on the ground before taking slow steps toward his girlfriend. Erin laughed, turning and running toward the other side of the garage with Jake on her heels. She ran around the car and headed toward the door before making a quick turn. She ran around the couch and back toward the car. She climbed in through the back door of the car, since all the doors were left open. She tried to crawl through and out the other side, but Jake grabbed her ankle and yanked her back. She twisted and soon found herself on her back with Jake hovering over her.
Jake smirked and tried to grab the ratchet, but Erin held it as far above her head as possible, her hand hanging out of the other side of the car. Jake laughed and instead of trying to reach the tool he simply tickled Erin's armpit.
Erin squeaked, her elbow flying down to her ribs to clamp her armpit shut, but Jake plucked the ratchet from her hand.
"Thank you." he grinned.
Erin glared at him, scrunching her nose up sarcastically. "Shut up."
"Aw, what's the matter? You want a proper 'thank you'?" Jake asked playfully, placing his free hand on the seat near her shoulder to support himself as he hovered above her face. Erin's glare immediately went away, her eyes staring up at Jake's smooth, plump lips as they hovered above hers.
Jake slowly lowered his head, bringing his lips to Erin's. Her hands came up and wrapped around the back of his neck, her fingers threading through his hair as he pressed his lips firmly to hers. Jake growled lowly when she bit his lip and he arched his back, pressing himself down into her. Erin groaned, lifting her legs to wrap them around his waist.
They continued their heated make out for a few minutes, but Jake realized they needed to stop when he felt Erin grind her hips into a certain part of his anatomy.
He groaned, forcing himself to pull away. Erin began kissing and sucking on his neck, which made his resolve waver, but he finally pushed her shoulders gently down into the seat. "Erin, stop. We need to stop." he whispered breathlessly.
"Why?" she groaned, dropping her head back and closing her eyes. Jake's eyes scanned her face and how her blonde hair was fanned out under her head.
"Because…if we don't stop now I'm not sure I'll be able to later." he answered quietly.
Erin opened her blue-gray eyes and stared up into his dark brown, biting her lip for a moment. "What if I don't want you to?" she whispered quietly.
Jake's breath caught in his throat as he stared down at her in shock. "What?"
She laughed quietly, "Jake, we've been together for almost a year, we love each other, and we're teenagers with hormones. I'm ready." she tightened her legs, which were wrapped around his waist.
Jake swallowed back his groan, fighting to keep his body off of hers. "Erin, I…are you sure?" he asked quietly, staring closely at her face to try and find even a hint of doubt.
Erin smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling herself up to kiss him soundly. After several moments, she pulled back just enough to speak against his lips, "Yes, I'm sure, Jake. I love you. Please." she whispered, her lips brushing softly against his.
Jake kept his eyes closed, breathing in her scent. "Okay."
"'Okay'?" Erin asked excitedly, pulling her face back to see his face more clearly.
Jake chuckled, opening his eyes to smile down at her. While keeping himself up with one hand on the seat under her, he moved his other hand to press his palm to her back, his fingers spreading over her shoulder blades. "Yes, but…"he added before she could do something that would further push his control, "not here and now."
"Why not?" she whined, flopping limply back onto the seat. Jake chuckled, pulling his hand out from under her back. He lowered himself to his elbows on either side of her head, hovering just inches above her whole body.
"Because," he paused to kiss her jaw, "I'm not making love to you for the first time in the backseat of a car in my garage."
"Why?" she asked curiously, opening her eyes to look up at him. "You like to fix cars, it's fitting. Besides, I don't need anything fancy, like a hotel room or roses or candlelight. I just need you and me. I love you, that's all I care about."
Jake smiled, moving one of his hands to brush his fingers through her soft hair. "I love you, too, and I appreciate that. However, I'm not having sex with you, right now in this garage, when I have friends who have the annoying habit of coming over and making themselves right at home. I won't risk anyone walking in on us." Erin grimaced a bit, nodding in agreement. "I'm also not doing it in either of our houses as long as someone is home, especially since my walls are rather thin." Erin laughed, bringing her hands up to cover her face.
After a few moments, Erin nodded and managed to compose herself before slowly dragging her hands down her face. "Okay, okay I can agree with those points. But you know, my mother has a habit of going away Friday nights to bars and stuff, sooo…you could always come over this Friday." she suggested coyly, running her hands down his chest.
Jake groaned, kissing Erin firmly and pressing her head back against the seat. When he felt her hands slide around his neck, her nails scratching at his scalp, he quickly pulled away a few inches. "It's a date." he agreed with a grin. "And you know, just because I refuse to have sex with you in this car the first time,…doesn't mean I flat out refuse. I'd be more than happy to have some intimate time with you in this backseat. In fact, one of the main reasons I picked this car was because of the backseat." he admitted, giving her a sly wink.
Erin laughed, her smile so wide her cheeks were starting to hurt. "Should've known." she muttered playfully.
Jake narrowed his eyes at her, leaning down to give her neck a quick, playful nip.
"Yo Jake!" an all-too-familiar voice called out, interrupting any possible moment that could've occurred between the couple.
Jake froze, his lips close enough that they brushed the skin of Erin's neck. He closed his eyes, gritting his teeth in frustration.
"Jake, you may want to move before he gets to the door, otherwise he'll see what position we're in and we'll never live it down." Erin suggested in a whisper.
Jake released a frustrated growl before pushing himself up and scooting backward out of the back door. Erin was just starting to sit up when Quil, as well as Embry, rounded the corner and paused.
Jake glared grumpily at his two best friends, who were looking between where he was standing a foot from the side of the Explorer, and where Erin was sitting up in the backseat.
Embry gave his best friend an apologetic smile as Jake held his hand out to help Erin scoot forward and out of the car. Quil, on the other hand, gave them both a devious smirk.
"Well, well, well…"
