Lydia POV
How could he do this!? Was she not interesting enough to keep around? She thought they were friends, but it seemed whenever someone new came he would just push her away. She should have known it would happen. It was the same when he met Brelyna or reunited with Kayci. She just became insignificant.
Lydia stormed through the forest, not even bothering to look back in her anger. She was so angry she didn't even care for the plants and small animals in her way as she usually would have when pushing through the undergrowth back to the camp.
Once she arrived she must have made a lot of noise because the two inhabitants looked up at her instead of continuing with their current activities.
"Where's Resh?" Kayci asked, seemingly having finished with her armour because it now showed a considerable amount of cleavage. And the skirt was so short it barely protected her modesty. If she bent over it wouldn't at all.
"Resh is a prick!" Lydia snapped in reply, not actually answering her question.
"That's not what I asked… but we can talk about that. And to get back at him I have tonnes of embarrassing stories he won't want you to know," Kayci said, smirking, obviously liking where the conversation was going.
"What sort of stories?" Lydia asked, perking up at the idea of knowing more about him, and the thought of being able to tease him.
Kayci grinned, happy that she was now in control of the conversation. "The sorts of stories he doesn't want anyone to know, and he will be mortified if you found out. You'd probably be able to have some leverage over him with the dirt I've got."
"Go on…"
"Tell me why he's pissed you off first. And where he is. It would be a shame if you were to have killed him out of annoyance." Kayci laughed at the last part, knowing that Lydia would never try to kill him because of what her scent made obvious.
Lydia regaled the entire tale to Kayci who sat there listening intently, analysing the story in her head as it was told.
"I can see why you would be annoyed. Even someone without a huge crush on him would be pissed off," Kayci said matter-of-factly.
"How did you know?!" Lydia asked in disbelief. Surely she wasn't that obvious. The pointed look she received from Kayci in return, however, said otherwise.
Lydia sighed, but then perked up again after remembering the bright side. "Now… about those embarrassing Resh stories you mentioned…"
Resh POV
An involuntary shiver ran down Resh's spine and he couldn't for the life of him figure out why. Something just felt… wrong.
Regardless, he watched as the hunters were all following his hunting instructions. In reality there wasn't that much he could teach them that they didn't already know. Any advantages he had over them were due to his race more than anything else, so the idea of them asking for his help was unnecessary.
He managed some stuff though. He taught the two elves how to best use their slightly more superior sense of hearing effectively like he did. And he was able to teach a few of the more intelligent of the group some helpful spells they could use, such as seeing in the dark. Not just this, but some of them were even able to learn some chameleon spells, rendering them partially invisible for a small amount of time, perfect for hunting from afar or in the dark.
Most of the time he spent with them was just showing off though. They all seemed completely in awe of his true form. Understandable though, seeing as he was more than two or even three times as long as them and more than able to kill them all in an instant.
They were all also very fond of his venom and how quick it killed things. Resh decided he might even bottle some up for them if they impressed him enough. If he played his cards right, Resh concluded that he could probably make them start a small cult worshipping him if he wanted. He would have done so were it not for the prior engagements he had. It would be interesting to see how far they would have taken their admiration of him.
Still, Resh needed to get back to the camp, so his teaching session was cut short. He bid them all farewell and hoped he would see them again. They said that if they did manage to catch the white stag they would bring him its coat. So, in some ways, he was actually hoping to see them again.
1 Hour Later
Resh returned to the camp to see the three girls all huddled in a circle and laughing. Resh had the suspicious feeling that somehow something wasn't going to go well for him. When they noticed him they all looked up at him a started giggling. This was definitely not a good sign.
"Hey Resh?" Lydia called, obviously trying to hold back laughs.
Resh sighed, having already guessed the cause of this latest development. "What has Kayce been telling you?"
"She was just telling us about the time you were trapped in a collapsed cave for a few weeks…," Lydia explained smirking as she did. Resh's eyes widened in horror. Anything but this story. Why did she have to tell them this one!? "And the shock she got when she dug open the entrance and saw you and your male second in comman-"
"We thought we were going to die!" Resh shouted in his defence, only to have the group burst into more large bouts of snickering.
"It still happened though," Kayci added. "That's just one of many interesting things they now know."
Resh groaned in despair, but came up with something he hoped would shut her up. "Kayce, do you really want everyone to know what we've both done in the past? Because I can assure you, anything you tell them about me, I can give a story about you ten times worse," Resh stated smugly, trying to regain some dignity and thinking he had the upper hand.
"Go ahead, I don't care. I'm a free spirit. I'm proud of all my exploits." Kayci grinned evilly when a certain memory came to mind, "Speaking of which, did you ever find out why your little sister wasn't able to walk straight or sit down comfortably for that one week all those years ago?"
Resh's smug look quickly vanished and was replaced with one contorted with disgust and anger, "What?!"
"I'm guessing that's a 'no'," Kayci smiled innocently.
"Please tell me you're joking right now!" Resh growled as a warning. "Please say that you're not telling me that you defiled my sister!"
"I'd hardly call it defiling. If it's any consolation, the anal play that made it hard for her to sit down was her id-" That was as far as she got before Resh lunged.
Oooooh, Resh got pissed, and Kayci really does get around, even to his family.
No sooner had the fight started before it had ended. It was brief but deadly, and had resulted in both Kayci and Resh painfully on their backs in the dirt trying to catch their breaths. This was one of the few fights with Kayci he was actually proud of. Surprisingly, he had actually managed to injure her as well. Albeit she was unaware of the coming attack, but it was still something to be happy about.
After a few minutes of recuperating Resh was the first to speak. "Someone pass me a rag. I need to wipe the blood off my face." Lydia quickly hurried over holding a scrap of fabric and dropping it down onto him. Resh proceeded to wipe down his body and face where the sticky blood was and groaned and cursed as he did it because of the pain.
When finished he sat, holding himself up with his arms. "Throw it here as well. You actually managed to get a few good hits in when I was surprised," he heard Kayci moan. The fight had worn out his anger so he just did what she asked and chucked it in her direction.
She started to wipe herself down as well but was much quicker because she had far fewer injuries. Kayce noticed the Elf staring so decided to spend slightly longer wiping the splatters of blood off her breasts than needed.
It only took a few moments before they were able to stand, and when they did they both seemed to not be angry anymore. Fighting it out of their systems really did work.
"Did you really fuck my sister?" Resh asked. It was hard to tell his current emotions because he was still panting. Lydia and Brelyna prepared to pry them off each other if he lunged at her again.
"A bit… okay, a lot. But she came onto me," Kayci answered worriedly, having the same thoughts as the other two women.
"You are so lucky I've known you for so long," Resh growled, pointing at her. "Now, does anyone have any booze? I feel like erasing the last few hours from my mind."
Lydia had some mead in the pack, but she didn't have time to mention it because Kayci spoke up first, "I have some Daedric lava whisky with me. I usually save it for when I want to get completely ploughed but now seems as good a time as any to bust it open."
"How did you manage to get that?" Brelyna asked incredulously. Lava whisky was extremely rare and expensive due to the fact it was what the Daedra drink and was made in their realms.
Kayci tossed the bottle over to Resh who drank it down greedily and continued, "I still know how to summon Flickers. We don't have sex anymore, but I can still tell her to go into the realms of oblivion and bring me back priceless alcohol. Speaking of which, you might want to slow down there Resh. It's very strong." Resh's reply was a combination of barely decipherable Tsaescian gibberish and some incoherent shouting as he had already drunk a quarter of the bottle and become intoxicated.
"What now?" Lydia asked, not really sure what to do now that Resh was barely clinging onto consciousness.
"He'll probably remember what I told him tomorrow, but he'll just care less. I think we should just leave him to drink himself stupider than he already has," Kayci replied, gesturing down to giant heap of muscle that was getting to about half way through the bottle.
"So Kayce, about his injur-" Lydia began, but didn't finish.
"Kayci. It's bad enough he calls me Kayce, I'm not going to have you lot do it as well. Anyway, back to what you were probably going to ask… You can heal, right Brelyna?" Kayci asked her. The Elf quickly nodded, glad to be noticed by her. "Good, would you mind fixing some of the injuries I gave him? He came off worse than I did and I think I may have broken one of his ribs."
The Dunmer, in a bid to be approved by her, quickly hurried over to Resh and started releasing golden waves of energy over him. Resh, in turn and too drunk to realise what was happening, tried to swipe at the restoration magic only to fall forwards and collapse into unconsciousness.
"From what I saw, you're very good at fighting with your hands. I can see why Resh constantly goes on about your prowess," Lydia said, trying to start a conversation.
Kayci smirked, obviously having thought of something dirty. "You liked what I could do with my fists huh? You know…" Kayci leaned in close next to Lydia's ear and whispered seductively, "You've yet to see what else I can do with them. I have prowess in more ways than one."
At her words Lydia immediately took a step back and stiffened, turning a very dark shade of red at the implications of what she had just said. Lydia could practically feel herself sweat with embarrassment. "I-I… appreciate the, uhh… offer…, but-"
Mercifully, Kayci raised her hands halting her midway through what was definitely one of the most awkward experiences in her life. "It's alright, I understand. If you've got a crush on Resh so much I'm sure I could get him to join in… when he wakes up, of course."
Lydia literally started choking in embarrassment, turning, unbelievably, an even darker shade of red. She was definitely sweating now and was shifting uncomfortably under the voracious appraising gaze of the insatiable woman. "I'm… s-sure th-that… Brelyna would, umm, prefer, err, your… kind offer. I'm… into men… only men," Lydia stuttered in pure embarrassment.
Kayci winked, "Oh, I know that. I prefer the challenge though. What do you say then? If you really do only like men I could just use my leather straps and carved horker tusk toys and you could just prete-"
"No!" Lydia snapped and blurted out before she finished her, most likely crude sentence. "Ask someone who likes women! This is so embarrassing!"
Her little outburst had attracted the attention of Brelyna who was now looking over in confusion, having not heard the whole interaction.
Kayci held her hand up in surrender at Lydia's raised voice, "Ok, I'll drop it. It was worth a shot though. There's nothing like teaching someone who's inexperienced. That's why I took a shine to Resh's little sister." Even unconscious Resh was protective of his sister and growled while still asleep, causing Kayci to suppress a laugh.
Lydia, not being able to take any more of this embarrassment, didn't say anything and just walked away awkwardly, turning bright red because of the crude and surprising spontaneous proposition.
Kayci turned from the direction Lydia was waking only to be met face to face with a pissed off looking Dunmer, who had seemingly figured out what had happened.
The seductress smirked, 'Looks like things are finally going to get interesting.'
Wow, that must have been embarrassing for poor Lydia, oh well though, what's life if you don't take chances, I'm sure that's Kayci's motto, either that or "Have sex with everything in sight!"
Brelyna POV
Kayci looked the seething Dunmer up and down before giving and innocent smile. "Is there a problem?"
The Elf in question bristled at her mocking and barked, "Yes there's a problem! You're travelling with three people, one you've already said you're over with, the one who's obviously straight, and me! Of the two women, why are you hitting on the straight one?!"
"I said earlier: I like the challenge. The greater the obstacle, the more glory overcoming it," the seemingly always upbeat woman chirped.
"Somehow I don't think that applies to this scenario," Brelyna replied, still annoyed the woman had gone for Lydia instead of her.
"Sure it does. It means you get the pleasure of being with someone inexperienced for their first time," Kayci explained, smiling at whatever crude memories came to mind.
"Whatever. How about next time you proposition someone who wants to… Someone with similar inclinations to you." Brelyna smiled smugly thinking she got her point across. Now all she had to do was wait for what was obviously coming next.
It didn't happen.
"Noted. Perhaps there will be someone in the next town we're going to," Kayci pondered, dashing Brelyna's hopes apart as if she hadn't understood what she was hinting at. "Anyway, speaking of travelling you should probably sleep." She pointed down to the unconscious Resh, "Resh has already gone under, so I think it would be best if you and Lydia get some rest."
Brelyna sighed in defeat. She wouldn't have given up so easily if it wasn't the truth. She loathed admitting it, but she really was tired. "Fine, goodnight," Brelyna said tersely before getting into her bedroll and angrily pulling it over her.
Of course Kayci knew the reason the Dunmer was upset. It was fairly obvious, really. But for the purposes of her game, Kayci was going to act oblivious and keep teasing and doing things like she had earlier until the Elf snapped and finally did something about it.
When Brelyna had drifted off and Lydia quickly followed, Kayci took a seat by the fire to keep watch. Staying awake for eight hours doing nothing wasn't the most interesting of tasks, but it still had to be done. If not, anyone could come to the camp and rob the people who are asleep. Maybe even kill them.
She just wished Resh hadn't downed her only bottle of Whisky, not just because it meant he was unconscious and she had no one to talk to, but because she now had to do the night shift sober.
In the end, Kayci decided she would just summon Flickers again to grab her some more alcohol. The atronach would probably get annoyed but still, she needed to drink.
In The Morning
The last night hadn't been a particularly good one for the group's resident Dunmer. Although she was able to fall into a deep and un-waking sleep, she had been having far too many inappropriate dreams about a certain person she was travelling with. And had, in consequence of that, soiled her bedroll.
She didn't have time to dwell on her embarrassment because when she opened her eyes she was greeted with the sight of their most promiscuous companion unbelievable wearing even less clothing. Although this wasn't cut short like she had purposely done earlier. These were scorch marks that had melted through her armour tearing holes in it, leaving the leather garment to show even more skin and barely cover her.
Brelyna groggily pulled herself up and rubbed her eyes. "What happened to you?" she asked, remarking on not just her ruined attire but her blacked hair which was previously blonde, and the marks on her skin.
"I got Flickers to grab me some more Lava Whisky from Oblivion," Kayci beamed, holding up her new bottle in triumph.
"I see… what's with all the burns?"
"Well… you know I told you how Flickers said she'd set me on fire if I tried seducing her again." Brelyna nodded, having guessed where this was going already. "I really need to listen next time a Daedra is angry at me."
"Next time?" Brelyna asked, surprised she planned on doing it again.
"What if I get involved with more Daedra? I need to make sure I take them seriously from now on," Kayci explained.
"This one just set you on fire! Why would you want to be with more Daedra?!" Brelyna all but shouted, still very irritated at the fact she was probably Kayci's last choice on lovers.
"Variety. They're each different in their own way. Dremora and Xivilai are both very strong. And fire atronach's ar-"
"Can you two please be quiet?" Resh moaned clutching the sides of his head in pain, having been woken from Brelyna's shouting. "If you keep speaking I feel like my brains going to shatter."
"I did tell you it was strong and not to drink it all," Kayci interjected.
"You slept with my sister…" Resh murmured weakly, trailing off by the end, too tired to complain at her.
"Still harping on about that are you? If it helps, when we get home again I'll tell her nothing can happen between us." Resh seemed appeased at this because he mumbled again and fell back to unconsciousness.
Kayci was about to get back to her list of favourite Daedra, including a run in with some golden saints and dark seducers, but didn't get the chance because Lydia had woken up and joined them without either of the two women noticing.
"You really shouldn't have let him go back to sleep immediately," Lydia told them, frowning. "We should be trying to get to Ivarstead as soon as possible."
This was when Brelyna spoke up, "Let's just pack everything up now and when we're done we'll take it from there and see if he wakes up on his own." Having no other ideas, the other two women just shrugged and started to clear away the camp. It didn't take long for them to finish and they were all circling his still passed out form again.
"Should we wake him up? I almost don't want to because of his hangover," Lydia said, looking down at him, drawing out knowing smirks from the other two women.
"Might as well," Brelyna shrugged, seeing it as the only choice. Lydia bent down to wake him gently but was quickly stopped by Kayci who obviously had other plans.
"One moment. We can either wake him up peacefully like proper friends would… or all shout at once," Kayci told them. They all looked at each other for a moment before having to stifle laughter at the brilliant idea.
Kayci counted down with her hand as they all stood around his sleeping and hung-over form. Four, three, two. She skipped out five due to the lack of a ring finger on her hand. One. Zero.
All three women shouted at the top of their lungs into his ears, "WAKE UP!"
