Resh POV
As Resh led Lydia further into the snowy plains of Morthal's hold Resh was getting more and more doubts about revealing himself to Lydia. He knew it was the right thing to do but he just didn't want to. Nevertheless, he had already said too much and gone too far to turn back now, and if Resh was one thing it wasn't someone who quit.
It was obvious to him that the only safe way to show Lydia his true self was far from the city, not only did it reduce the chance of some randomer seeing him, but also it meant that if she got scared and tried to run she wouldn't be able to get that far.
The Nord however, did not have the same knowledge of the situation as her Tsaesci mate so got increasingly pissed off as the walk went on. She probably thought he was just trying to bide his time to think of an excuse not to say anything, which, he had to admit was also an idea in his head.
"Are you going to 'show' me this thing you were so secretive about or what? If not I'm going to kill you for making me walk all this way," Lydia growled, shivering very slightly in the cold, despite being a Nord she still could feel it. Suddenly she found herself jealous of Resh's enchanted jewellery.
"No I will, it's just complicated. I reckon we're far away enough by now," Resh muttered, the thought ever there in his mind that he could still run now, and just leave her for good without saying a thing.
"'Far away enough' for what?" Lydia bit, an annoyed edge to her voice due to the inconvenience of the situation. She felt a stab of guilt in her head though when she noted that other than his initial outburst he seemed to be taking the news that she wanted to keep their child quite well.
Resh sighed deeply and said nothing almost as if he had ignored the question. Lydia would have brought it to attention had he not done the most unexpected thing she could think of, he stripped. To him it seemed obvious, it was a way to stop clothes getting ripped, but Lydia however had no idea.
In response to his actions she blushed slightly and gave a sultry smirk, "Resh, I'm flattered that you want to do this, but I still want to know what's going on," seeing him continue Lydia decided she might as well go along with the flow, after all, it was what she wanted too, "You're definitely telling me after though."
Unfortunately for Lydia, when she started to unbuckle her own armour Resh hastily asked her to stop, evidently he was planning something else, much to Lydia's dismay.
With one last look of doubt with his decision, Resh finally did it.
Kayci POV
Not too long after her and Brelyna had began their lovemaking they were promptly thrown out. Apparently other patrons of the tavern had complained about their noise, and had pressured the bar owner to make them leave.
Despite believing that the annoyed customers were actually right the barkeep still didn't want to get rid of them. Fair enough it was getting late and some people needed sleep, and the two women were keeping them from doing so, but he had noticed some form of lost tension between them, as if a spark had been relit, and he didn't want to ruin something like that.
Unfortunately, he still had a job to do, and money to earn, so the majority won out in the end.
"Brelyna?" Kayci asked, trying to get her attention. They were currently intertwined, but as a cuddling gesture more than anything sexual, just as a way to be close to each other.
"Yeah?" the Elf replied, slipping out of her dominatrix tone as the sex had ended several minutes ago and the 'aftercare' had started.
Kayci giggled slightly and turned to her lover, "There's someone outside the door, I think it's the tavern owner trying to find a way to come in without seeing anything or seeming inappropriate."
The Dunmer chuckled slightly as well, "I'm guessing we probably annoyed too many other guests. We should probably go, I don't expect we'll be allowed to stay here any longer."
"I agree, we should probably go find Resh and Lydia anyway, I can't imagine that yell you said you heard should be ignored."
"Good point," Brelyna concurred, getting up to pull on her clothes, before shouting to the man outside. "You can go now, you don't need to keep standing outside trying to find a way to enter."
The two women laughed as the heard a 'thud' and the distinct sound of someone scrabbling on the floor after having jumped back in shock.
Lydia POV
"What the fuck are you?!" Lydia screamed, backing away quickly and subsequently tripping into the snow.
Her Thane, friend, and part time lover, in the space of seconds, had changed. One moment he had been the normal, albeit massive, Nord he usually was. And now, standing before her was something completely different, like a monster.
It was almost as if his skin had ripped open to show what was really beneath, claws jutted out of where his hands used to be, and his legs deformed and twisted into a large tail. Everything grew as well, including the fangs sticking from his mouth that used to be teeth.
Whatever it was, it was definitely Resh. It had his long black hair, and it had his appearance, just instead of having human skin or body shape, it was a solid gold colour, and was now at least 9 feet tall, with another 7 feet of long tail trailing behind.
She would have likened it to an Argonian had its face not remained the same shape as before, still very human looking because it didn't have a snout like the lizard people, but nevertheless the golden scales still made her slightly uneasy.
The creature sighed, although it sounded similar to Resh she couldn't help but shiver slightly at the sound, "I knew you wouldn't want to know the truth."
She probably would have made some form of snarky reply had she not been terrified out of her mind, whatever it- he was, it was larger than any other living thing she had seen, practically dwarfing any trolls she had met in the past, or even a giant if you took into account the whole length of what she supposed was Resh's body and tail.
It didn't really help that when he spoke in whatever this form was, large perfect and sharp fangs glittered slightly as it shone from the gaps his lips made when speaking. Because of this Lydia was currently ignoring everything he was saying, focusing more on his shiny daggers of teeth and vicious looking claws than any explanation.
She wished she had taken her sword with her, that way she could have run through whatever this monster masquerading as Resh this was, or at the very least injure it considering its size. Even more so, she was glad she hadn't finished taking off her armour lest she would have stood even less of whatever chance she had fighting this thing if it would come to that situation.
The… Resh-thing obviously noted her fear, and tried to hold out a hand to her to help her up. Unfortunately Lydia, still being scared, flinched away from his reach and darted out of the way, she continued to stare in awe and fear for a few moments before bolting off back to the town, leaving the Tsaesci alone in the snow.
On another note I'm now an organ donor, I signed up on my birthday right away. I'll also give blood ASAP too. I feel like telling you guys and gals just to spread the message that I think you people should think about it too as it, in my opinion, is a great thing to do.
Lydia POV
In the current weather running didn't get her very far. The snow seemed to be almost completely disabling her ability to move, let alone go at a rate fast enough to escape the monster she was running from. No wonder he took her into the middle of the wilderness and snow away from all the guards, he knew this was going to happen. Probably did it so it's easier to kill her.
Despite all her worrying about when he would strike, when she looked back the Resh behind her wasn't nearly as scary as she had first thought. His head was hung low dejectedly, and despite being at least nine feet tall he still looked small, defeated in a sense. Perhaps the large golden juggernaut wasn't planning anything, instead it just looked sad.
If it was she doubted she would stand much of a chance, this snakelike Resh was obviously far stronger than her, and if she was sure it's scales were probably very protective, maybe to the sense where it was almost impossible for her to inflict any damage upon them.
When she started to think about it, everything did make sense like this, it explained how he had survived a blow to the head from a troll, how he recovered from injuries so easily, how he had the strength to carry multiple women all wearing armour. The list goes on.
Regardless of all this though Lydia only felt sorry for it, it didn't look threatening at all anymore, just upset and weary, just like any normal person.
It-Resh immediately noticed her pause in movement so perked up slightly, nevertheless he was still apprehensive about whether to go near or not considering her previous reaction. In the end he decided to move closer, after all, it seemed due to the snow Lydia wouldn't be going very far anyway if she tried running.
Lydia tried her hardest not to cringe away when he slithered towards her, it covered the distance it had taken Lydia a minute to run in less than only just more than a few seconds, and it didn't even appear to be… whatever running is for something with no legs.
Her ignorance on snake movement didn't make her any less awestruck when he came into view a bit more. She was still fairly scared, but she still couldn't help but marvel at its every curve of muscle, and perfectly sculpted features. Beautiful in a sense.
"I'm sorry I had to scare you like that Lydia," he explained, moving as close as they would have been when still in human form. "But I didn't want to have to keep lying to you."
Lydia hesitated for a few moments before speaking, "I can see why you hid it away for so much. No one would understand. You a m-"
"Tsaesci," Resh quickly finished, slightly angered at what Lydia was about to say. He had seen monsters, both in the literal and figurative sense, just because he looked a little different didn't mean he was anything like a monster. No more than an Argonian, or a Khajiit, his fellow 'Beast-folk' as Tamrielic inhabitants would so kindly put it.
Something in Lydia's mind seemed to click the moment he said that, "Is that why you're so obsessed with them? It all makes sense."
Resh growled, in annoyance rather than anger, at the reminder of Lydia's ignorance when it came to her continents past, "It wasn't 'obsession', I actually am a Tsaesci, so it's only reasonable I would get pissed off when people know nothing about my great kind, and don't express any willingness to learn."
"Understandable, I wouldn't be too pleased if you didn't know anything about my kind… although you probably know more about it than I do," Lydia muttered, still slightly perturbed at what she was having a conversation with.
Resh chuckled slightly at that, "In fairness, I have lived for 412 years, so I've had plenty of time to research."
"412 years!" Lydia spluttered, "I just fucked a man older than half of Whiteruns population put together, in fact, worse than that I had sex with some snake-thing three times my size!" she was starting to hyperventilate now, it was understandable really, he had done the same thing upon finding out of their night together.
The Tsaesci was at a loss for words, he didn't know how to calm her down. Although he did decide it was probably best not to bother correct her, he didn't really think she would want to hear about how he was closer to nine times her size because of the width, or how he'd prefer to be called a Tsaesci than a 'snake-thing'.
Abandoning most of his common sense, the giant serpent did the one thing he could think of, wrapping his tail firmly around her legs, and his arms around her middle, and giving her a warm embrace. It seemed the only good option, because in weather she needed heat more than anything, and, he wasn't entirely sure of Nordic culture but hugging was usually considered the third best way to calm someone down or cheer someone up, only just below hunting and having sex. And the current location was no good for either of those two options.
Maybe somewhere else...
Minutes Later Lydia POV
"You're not going to… eat me, or anything like that are you?" Lydia asked in a half cautious half joke-like, they had been standing in and entwined position for minutes now, and she had calmed down. The only problem now was that she had a giant snake-like Resh wrapped around her with his tail. An action which she could have sworn she had seen other snakes do just before they snap a Skeever's head off.
"No, I have no reason to. Besides, I made a promise to a friend not to eat any people when in Skyrim," Resh explained, deciding to also let go of her in case she was still scared of being eaten for whatever reason.
Lydia recoiled slightly at that, and asked in horror, "So you have eaten people before you made this 'promise'?"
The Tsaesci seemed relatively confused at her shock for a moment but quickly remembered the cultural differences between species. "Yes, my entire species does. It's considered an… honour to be devoured, depending on the circumstances."
"That's disgusting!" the Nord exclaimed, backing away far enough to be completely out of reach in case he was lying and was going to try and eat her.
He started to grow slightly angry at that, "And the things I've seen your kind do isn't? The abuse? The ignorance? The way you treat every race that isn't yours with hatred? I've seen Argonians treated like slaves, and Khajiit not allowed in cities, and you're calling cannibalism, in a culture that doesn't even view it as a bad thing, 'disgusting'? I thought you were better than most Nords."
"I don't care. Eating a person is just wrong," Lydia retorted, ignoring the guilt he tried to send her way. "What if it was one of your loved ones? What if someone put Kayci in front of you and said 'eat up'?"
Resh smirked slightly at the example, "Why don't you ask her? We literally had that conversation less than a fortnight ago. And, long story short, we both think it's a good thing."
Lydia had to catch herself at that, "So Kayci is one of you… T'seccy things as well?"
"It's pronounced 'Tsaesci', and yes, she is." Resh told her, an edge in his tone due to her mispronunciation.
"Does Brelyna know?" she asked. From what she knew, although they had only been together a few days, the two women were in a far more serious relationship than her and Resh.
"I highly doubt it. She's gone on long enough not telling lovers about what she was, and so far nothing bad has come of it so I don't think she's going to change any time soon."
"Don't you think we should tell her?" Lydia asked, having first hand experience when it came to finding out you had just been having sex with a serpent, pretty shocking to say the least.
"Not really, it's really up to Kayce what she does, although if she finds out you know about us she'll probably just tell Brelyna as well to make things simple. Also, I knew that if you tried to attack me you can only use your fists and I could easily subdue you. Brelyna is a mage, if she lashes out in fear someone could get seriously hurt."
Lydia bristled slightly when she realised Resh didn't think of her as a threat, but managed to keep it down and not say to that effect, "I don't think Brelyna would be that bothered to be honest. Considering the type of relationship they are in Kayci's true form might be a bit of a thrill for Brelyna, having to keep someone larger under her control."
"I agree, she's lucky with her situation. As they're both women the size difference if they wanted to have sex in her true form wouldn't really be that much of an issue, as her parts being larger than Brelyna's doesn't change that much. But, for arguments sake, if you and I were to try it as I am now, it is unlikely I would actually fit inside you," Resh explained, causing Lydia's mind to wild with thoughts about the two of them, and her eyes to drift slightly downwards to check.
Resh had already anticipated that however, and smirked at the fact she was trying to check him out, "There's no point looking, it's hidden behind scales at the moment if you must know," that immediately caused Lydia's head to jolt up and a large blush to form, which in turn made Resh have no choice but to tease her further, "Besides, unless you can tackle something three times longer than the average you deal with and twice as thick I wouldn't suggest trying," he growled seductively, raising a long finger to her lips suggestively.
The Tsaesci chuckled slightly when her blush turned an even more violent shade of red when she realised the innuendo between his large finger and… what he was suggesting…
"Not just that, but she wouldn't run the risk of getting Brelyna pregnant with snake babies either," Resh went on, no longer joking crudely.
Lydia's eyes nearly burst out of her head when she pieced things together, "Are you telling me that my child could be a Tsaescy like you?"
"You mean Tsaesci-"
"I dont care about the fucking pronunciation! I only care about the situation involving me having to push a baby three times the size of a normal Nord with golden scales out of me!" Lydia snapped, her patience wearing thin at his pedanticness over little details.
"I was getting there… It shouldn't be a problem, if it was born a Tsaesci-" Resh emphasised the word 'Tsaesci', earning a harsh glare from the woman, "-it would come out in human form then change."
Despite her earlier anger Lydia let out a small sigh of relief, childbirth sounded hard enough, she didn't need it to be made even more difficult.
"If worst comes to worst though, you'll just lay an egg like our own females and birth it that way," Resh went on, oblivious to the look of worry spread across Lydia's features when he started talking about the dangers of cross breeding and how people weren't really sure what the results were, or if they were safe.
