Dean held Lily on top of him for more than an hour. They lay there silently, kissing occasionally, just enjoying the feeling of being able to hold each other again.

Lily still had questions about Purgatory, but she wondered when would be a good time to bring it up. They were so at peace at the moment that she didn't want to ruin it, but she knew he would never talk about it on his own. It just wasn't his way.

Dean's hands glided up and down Lily's back, slipping below her waist a few times with a gentle squeeze to her rear. When he did, Lily would smile and kiss his neck.

"Have I told you yet how much I missed you?" she asked.

"Once or twice, maybe."

Lily lifted her head to look into Dean's eyes. His expression seemed distant.

"What are you thinking about?"

It took a moment, but his eyes locked onto hers and brightened. "Nothin'"

A furrow came across Lily's brow in disbelief. "No. You were thinking about something."

"I wasn't..."

"Dean, come on. I know you. Talk to me."

Lily moved to Dean's side and took his hand in hers, resting it on his chest. He lay there silently staring at the ceiling. Her lips lightly touched his cheek and she whispered into his ear.

"Talk to me, baby. Please."

Dean sighed after a few minutes. "I was thinking about Purgatory."

"I kinda figured. Anything specific?"

"When we got there, Cas just vanished."

"So Cas was there with you?"

"Yeah."

"And he left you?"

"When I finally found him, he said he was trying to protect me, because leviathan were after him from the minute we got there."

Dean was quiet for a moment, but Lily pressed him to continue. She could tell, whatever it was, it was eating at him.

"He didn't wanna come with me at first," Dean said, "but I told him I wasn't leaving without him."

"I'd expect nothing less from you," Lily said. She smiled at Dean, but he didn't return it. "Baby, what's wrong? Where's Cas?"

"As far as I know, he's still in Purgatory. We made it to the portal. I stepped in and turned for him... he was calling out to me..." The look on his face brought tears to Lily's eyes. He looked up at her. "I swear I tried to pull him in with me. I tried."

"Of course you did."

"I mean it, Lily. I tried to get him out."

She put a hand to his face and his eyes closed. "I believe you, Dean."

He wrapped his arms around her and held her tight. Lily knew how Dean carried guilt. He felt he was responsible for everything. The entire world was his burden, especially the people he cared about. Castiel was his friend. If Dean tried to save him and couldn't, he would carry that as guilt, as if it were his fault Castiel were still in Purgatory.

"I know you did everything you could," Lily said.

After a few minutes, Dean pulled back and kissed her. His lips gently caressed hers, his tongue peeking out for a taste. Lily sighed as he moved to her jaw.

"You hungry?" she asked.

He grazed his teeth over her skin. "Very hungry."

"I meant for food," she said with a grin.

"Not for food."

Dean licked and sucked his way down her body until he reached his goal between her legs. Her fingers went into his hair, holding him there as she squirmed. His mouth covered her, his tongue and soft lips against her flesh. The sensation sent her reeling, and her legs tightened against Dean's head as her body spasmed.

When her legs fell away, he slowly kissed his way back up to her lips and slid easily into her. The sight of her orgasm had turned him on to the point that he knew he wouldn't last long. She wrapped her legs around him to push him further as he went faster. He eventually broke and collapsed on top of Lily, kissing her as he came down.

Dean moved to Lily's side and held her close. "I need a shower," he said.

"I think we both do."

"I'll use the guest shower," he said, giving her a quick kiss. "Otherwise we'll end up not showering."

"Is that a bad thing?" Lily asked with a grin.

Dean returned her grin with a wink. He got out of bed and pulled on the clothes he had been wearing, then grabbed something clean to put on after. Lily grabbed some clean clothes and headed to her shower.

When Lily was done, she went to check on Kevin. She passed the kitchen to find Dean making sandwiches.

"Here," he said. "Take this to the kid."

"He should come eat with us... take a break."

"He's welcome to, but I know his type. He's like Sam. He won't wanna stop to eat."

"Well, I'll try to talk him into it." Lily grabbed the plate. "I'll lure him out with it."

It took some convincing, but Lily got Kevin to take a break. He sat with Dean and Lily as they ate.

"How's it comin', Kev?" Dean asked.

"Slow. It's hard enough to actually read the tablet. It takes me a while to get a small piece translated, and then, sometimes, I don't even understand it. It's like
I need to do more research, but where do you research this kind of stuff?"

"Well," Dean said, "we've got a lot Bobby's old books at Rufus' cabin. I could go get 'em for you."

"Dean," Lily said," that's a long drive there and back for books. Why don't we all go and stay out there for a while?"

"Because Crowley knows that place, and it's not nearly as protected as your cabin. Your dad sealed this place good. Nothing supernatural is getting in here. You two would be safe here while I make a run."

"I just got you back."

"I'll only be gone a few days. I'll call every night." When Lily just shook her head, Dean appealed to her logical side. "Come on, this will help Kevin. And you can help him with his translation while I'm gone. Maybe even start some of the research with the books you have."

"You always do this to me," Lily said.

"What's that?"

"Get reasonable when I don't want you to."

Dean smiled, and Lily couldn't help but return it.

"Fine," she said. "You'd better call every night."

"I will."

"Including tonight."

"I will... I promise."

When they finished eating, Kevin returned to the study while Dean packed a bag. Lily walked him to the door and gave him her keys.

"Don't let anyone in. And try not to leave the house until I get back."

"I think we're good with food and supplies for a few days."

"I'll be back before you know it."

He kissed Lily gently, letting it linger before he pulled away.

"I love you, Dean."

"I love you, too, Lily."

She watched him walk out to the car and drive away before going back inside. She locked the door and laid her head against it.

"You okay?"

She turned around to see Kevin standing there.

"I'm fine. You need something?"

"I just came to get some water."

Lily went into the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water for each of them.

"Let's get to work," she said.
