"What the hell, Dean?" Sam yelled, dropping his bag at his feet. "You left me in the dust back there!"

Dean wanted to make a comment about how Sam left him Purgatory, but he held his tongue. "I wanted to get home to tell Lily about Benny before you came in here all gangbusters."

"Oh, so she gets the privilege of hearing it directly from you, but not your brother?"

"Don't get angry at her."

"I had to shake his cold, undead hand to know that my brother, Dean Winchester, is friends with a vampire."

"I called you in on it, man. I didn't hide it from you."

"You sure as hell weren't forthcoming with it!"

"Me and Benny had it handled. I coulda split with him and met you back at the motel if I wanted to keep it from you, but I didn't. I wanted you to meet him. It's because of him that I'm out of Purgatory. I thought you'd wanna meet the person responsible for that."

"You mean the monster responsible for that... the killer."

"He's not a killer."

"Wow. Is that what he told you? That he's not dropping bodies?"

"That's what I'm saying."

"And you believe him?"

"Got no reason not to."

Sam looked at Dean with pure disbelief. "What about my friend Amy? You weren't willing to believe her."

"What can I say? People change."

"Yeah, I guess they do." Sam picked up his bag and looked at Lily, his voice a little softer. "Nice to see you again, Lily."

"You too, Sam."

Sam shoved his way past Dean and went up the stairs. Lily ran a hand over her forehead as Dean stared after Sam.

"Well," Lily said, "at least he stayed."

Dean walked over to the fridge and got a beer. It was the first one Lily had seen him with since he got back. She hoped it wasn't the first step on the road back to where he was before he disappeared.

"Dean... you need to go talk to him."

"He doesn't wanna talk."

"Sam always wants to talk. Why didn't you tell him what you told me, about Andrea?"

"He didn't give me a chance. He stormed off."

"So, storm after him."

"I don't think we're gonna see eye to eye on Benny." Dean sat on the sofa and took a swig of his beer. Lily sat next to him.

"I think you will if you just explain it to him like you explained it to me."

"I'm done talking."

"Dean..."

"Look, I get that you're trying to help, but I'm not Sam's favorite person right now, and he's not mine, either. Just let it go."

Lily sat silently looking at Dean drink his beer for a minute before she stood.

"I'm gonna check on Kevin."

Lily walked into the study and found Kevin with a set of headphones on. No doubt to try to block out the yelling. She sat across the desk from him and waited for him to look up. When he saw her there, he took off the headphones.

"How's it going?" Lily asked.

"Not too bad. I've got something useful."

"Really?" Lily sat up, giving Kevin her full attention.

"Well, maybe useful is the wrong word. Informative. But it leads to the useful stuff, once I get it translated."

"Okay, so, what is it?"

"To close the gates of Hell, you have to pass three trials."

"Trials?"

"Like, tests."

"And what are the tests?"

"That's why it's not useful. I don't have that translated yet."

"Okay. I'll grab Dean and we'll bring those books in for you. You keep at it."

Kevin nodded and Lily walked back into the living room. She filled Dean in on what Kevin had told her, and they made several trips in from the car to bring Kevin the books from Rufus' cabin. During the last trip, Lily noticed Dean's eyes scanning over his car. She knew he was checking for scratches and dents, and really just taking her in. This was his Baby. Lily leaned in close to him after closing the trunk.

"If you ever look at another girl that way," she said, "we may have a problem."

Dean smiled at her. "Just checking out my Baby," he said. "If felt good to drive her again... to be back behind the wheel." With a stack of books in one arm, he ran his free hand over the car.

Lily smiled and whispered into his ear. "What felt better? Getting your hands back on her... or on me?"

"Oh, definitely you," he said.

He put the books on the trunk of the car and pulled Lily to him. He took the books from her hands and put them with his, then kissed her hard. He opened the back door of the Impala and backed Lily to it.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

"You have to ask?"

He flashed a wicked smile as he closed the door behind him and laid Lily down on the backseat.

"What if Sam or Kevin come out here to look for us?" she asked.

"That's why it's called a quickie, sweetheart."

"Do you even know what that means? You're always so thorough."

"I guess we'll find out."

Dean unbuttoned Lily's jeans and helped her pull them off before removing his own. Lily unbuttoned her shirt, but left it on. Their underwear quickly joined their jeans on the floor and Dean positioned himself over Lily. He kissed her neck and massaged her breasts through her bra before thrusting into her. He positioned her hips in such a way that every stroke hit just the right spot. She moaned and bit her lip to keep from screaming, clutching the seat with both hands. She reached her peak faster than ever before. With her body clamping down around him, Dean soon followed.

Her body trembled, like aftershocks, as they kissed and tried to catch their breath. Dean sat up, pulling Lily with him without breaking their kiss. He buttoned her shirt, then picked up their clothes from the floor. They got dressed and climbed out of the car. Dean handed Lily the books she had been carrying, then picked up his stack. He gave her another long kiss before they went back inside, Dean's arm around Lily's shoulder.
