Kira's P.O.V.
I waited anxiously for the battle to begin. Shikamaru, Choji, Ino and Kakashi would show up soon and then Naruto would appear not to long after. Nyisha was pretty anxious, too. I couldn't stay still. I was pacing about the rock we waited on. Some times I'd walk up the tree just to keep my self from getting dizzy. "Kira, will you sit still? You're driving me insane!" Kakuzu groaned. "Sorry, Kakuzu, I'm just so anxious." I said. Then I decided that I needed to do something better to pass the time and get my mind off of the issue at hand. I needed to pick up some stuff for her. "Nyisha, come with me to get what Ana asked for." I said. We used a jutsu and put up our disguises and enter the village. We ordered the guys to stay put.
We walked in to the market area and began to shop. I picked up a very-rare looking knife. "So, what did Ana need you to pick up?" Nyisha asked. "Nothing. I just needed to get Christmas shopping done. And some thing to ease my nerves." I said. "Legit." Nyisha said and eyed a large knife mounted on the wall. We went down to a shop I had seen not to long ago back when Ana, Miranda and I were here. It was a jewelry shop with a necklace that Ana and Naruto had both stopped to stare at. He seemed mad at it and stormed away, but Ana had continued to stare at it. Apparently, she was talking to Ayu about something.
I went in to the store and stared at the necklace. "You like that one?" Asked the store clerk. I nodded. "You know the story behind that necklace, don't ya?" Asked the clerk. I shook my head. "That is the necklace of the great Ayu Namikaze. She fought four of the most elite rouge ninjas from the hidden mist alone in a fight to the death and won. That red splatter mark is from the battle when she was in the chunin exams and got a bad burn mark from Kakashi Hatake's Lightning blade. Amazing, isn't it? And who would have thought they would be best friends later in life! Some people even say that Kakashi was in love with the girl, but, his poor heart, she did not return his feelings." The shop clerk rambled. I didn't care about a lot of it, but the thing about Kakashi definitely caught my attention.
"How do you know?" I asked. "Well, because she fell in love with Itachi Uchiha. They were madly in love for years, then he killed his clan and broke her heart. Not long after she died of heart tumor and heart break." He said. "No, I mean how do you know if Kakashi loved Ayu or not?" I asked him. "Well, it was obvious. She was always there for him after his best friend died. I think that's why he's never dated anyone, he may still be in love with her. He has also quite the attachment to her younger brother." He said. I turned and looked at the clerk. "What?" He asked. "Don't you think, that since her brother is still alive, he should have something that belonged to his sister? You know, something to pass on to his kids. He can hand it to his daughter and say 'this was your aunt's necklace. She wore it with pride, take care of this.' I mean, one day, it could be a famous family heirloom, but only if it stays in that family." I said.
I produced my wallet. "How much for it?" I asked. "You actually want to buy the necklace?" The shop keeper asked. I nodded. "I'm sorry, I can't." He said. "Why not? You just talked me up for it." I said. "That necklace is cursed. Every time Ayu let a person wear that necklace, they died. Some people believe that Ayu's soul is with it, and if anyone wears it, she will lead them to their deaths. Only some one of her bloodline can wear it." He said. "That's why it's my Christmas present to Ayu's brother." I said. He sold it to me for $72 and wrapped it for free. We stepped out of the shop. I saw Naruto running in the direction where Hidan and Kakuzu were fighting Shikamaru, Ino, Choji and Kakashi.
"Fuck." I said. We building hopped. I stopped by Naruto's apartment and left the necklace on the counter top and Nyisha and I followed Naruto out of the village. When we reached the scene, I realized that Shikamaru and Hidan had already left. "Fuck." I said, ditching the bag of food on Nyisha and sprinting off in Hidan's direction, praying I wasn't too late.
Nyisha's P.O.V.
I caught the groceries the Kira flung on to me. I watched as she took of sprinting in the direction that Shikamaru and Hidan went. I dropped the food on the ground and ran as Kakashi ran at Kakuzu with a lightning blade. "NO!" I yelled, I grabbed Kakashi's wrist and pushed the electricity away from Kakuzu. "Nyisha!" Kakuzu yelled, grabbing my waist and tried to pull me away. I kept my feet planted to the earth. "Nyisha?" Naruto asked. "Kakuzu! The necklace! The necklace!" I said as I held Kakashi's arm back as he tried to push me back. Kakuzu reached in to his shirt and pulled out my old Akatsugirl necklace with the dragons wrapped around the sword. Naruto gasped.
"Kakashi-sensei, stop!" Naruto yelled just as a stray bolt of lightning snapped across my face. "Gyah!" I said, I released Kakashi's arm and fell to my knees, clutching my burned face. "Kakashi-sensei, stop! Their spies of Ana!" Naruto yelled. "You're friendlies? Then why did you kill Asuma-sensei?!" Ino yelled. "Look, that wasn't our choice. It was either save Asuma and lose more people or lose him and save the rest." I said, still clutching my face where the lightning slapped me. "Why? Why did he have to die?" Ino asked. "Look, I don't know all the details, I zoned out a little when Ana was explaining it to us, but I do remember that if Asuma lived, you, Choji, Naruto, Shikamaru, Hinata, Neji and who knows who else would die. One person has an impact on a lot, Ino. Ana just wants to make sure that we win this war." I said. I know, it was a lie, but I had to in order to protect them.
"What war?" Kakashi asked. "I hope that we'll play our cards correctly against the ones we can't trust so we won't be at the fucking war. All I know is we can't kill the fuckers because that would leave too much buried. Look, I'm sorry about Asuma's death, but honestly, if it came down to losing one or one thousand people, I'd rather lose one. We can't save every one, I'm sorry about that, but there's nothing I can do about it. I wish there was, but just look at all the people that you love and still have. Yes, I know it hurts to lose a mentor and a family member, but what about losing everyone? Being alone, that is truly a scary thing, right, Naruto?" I said.
Everyone turned to Naruto. "When were you ever alone?" He asked quietly. Our eyes met and we shared a silent conversation. "Naruto?" Ino asked. "She's right. Yeah, it's sad that we lost Asuma, but even if we do kill the ones who killed him, we won't feel better, and I don't think Asuma would, either. What will killing them really do, guys? Will it really make us feel better about the loss of some one we cared about so much? Look at Nyisha, guys. She leapt in the way of a lightning blade, just to save one guy. The guy she loves. In the end, if we were in her shoes, we'd do the same thing. If we could have, we would have jumped in the way of Asuma's death. Would we really feel better by killing this guy and make her feel as bad as we do? Would we really feel better? Think of the hurt you guys felt when we found out about Asuma's death. Would you wish that on anyone at the end of the day?" Naruto asked.
Ino and Choji looked at each other, Kakashi looked at Naruto, Naruto and Kakuzu looked at me. "No. I would never want anyone to feel like that. Even though it's how we live, that death is part of our lives, we cry over something we knew would happen sooner or later. Even if I hadn't known about Nyisha, Ana, Kira, Miranda and whoever else is on their side, I still would have felt bad about this even after every thing had happened. I don't want anyone to feel this bad." Choji said as Ino nodded in agreement. Then I realized something.
"Shit!" I said. "What is it?" Kakuzu asked. "Shikamaru is still fighting Hidan and Kira!" I said. I leapt to my feet and was immediately pulled back by the burn in my face and was caught by Kakuzu. "Nyisha, don't worry, we got this. Ino, go get Sakura to heal Nyisha. Kakashi-sensei, Choji and I will go after Shikamaru." Naruto said and off they went. Kakuzu held me gently as I rested and worried about my friend.
Kira's P.O.V.
"NO!" I shrieked as I jumped in the way of Hidan's scythe. My back against his chest and my hands on his hand, tip of the blade of the scythe an inch away from my chest. "Kira, what the hell, I'm about to kill this little fucker." Hidan said. "That's not his blood on the scythe!" I said. "I know, its Kakuzu's, you showed me." He said. "Actually, you may as well plunge that scythe in to her chest if you want to see some one die." Shikamaru said, standing up. "What?" Hidan asked, lowering the Scythe. Shikamaru held up the container. "The blood I put on your scythe, was her's." He said, pointing to me. "You… wanted me to die?" I asked, tears falling from my eyes. "I honestly didn't want you to die, but you are his obvious weak point. If he lost you, he would have succumbed to death." Shikamaru said coldly. "You're bluffing, you would never be that cold." I said. "If you think so, try it. I guarantee you will feel it." He said. Hidan looked at me, looked at Shikamaru and back to me.
Then he cut his arm.
The feeling of the blade going through my arm stung. I screamed in pain and grabbed my arm and fell to my knees, clutching my arm. Hidan's skin flashed to normal as he dropped to his knees by me. He tore the scythe from his arm, this time, I didn't feel it. We peeled back my sleeve to see a large blood blister appearing. Internal bleeding. Fuck. I reached in to my weapons pouch and slashed my arm open. The blood flowed out of my arm, relieving the pressure and easing the pain a little. "You son of a bitch! How dare you make me hurt her, I'll kill you, you little fuck!" Hidan yelled, rushing at Shikamaru. Shikamaru put up his arms in defense, closing his eyes. "HIDAN! NO!" I yelled.
Everything turned to a blur as Hidan's scythe came down and blood splattered on the ground. Hidan and Shikamaru both stared at me in shock. "Kira…" Hidan gasped. "Kira… why? Why would you save me after I tried to get you killed?" Shikamaru asked. I smiled at him. I wouldn't lie, taking a Scythe full speed in to my shoulder blade hurt like a mother fucker. "Don't you understand? Yeah, you're a pain in my ass. But, Shikamaru, your destiny doesn't end here. You have a long life a head of you. It's my job to keep you and everyone in Konoha alive. That and, I have to admit, even if it does piss off my fiancé here, but I'm kinda attached to you." I said. "Wha~aaaat?" Hidan said, tears flowing out of his eyes. I rolled my eyes at him. "Don't worry, ass hole, I'm not leaving you. I'm just explaining things. Anyways, you can't let this kinda thing pull you back, Shikamaru. Yeah, it hurts, but killing me to make him feel as bad as you won't help how bad you feel now." I said. He sighed. "You're right. I'm sorry." He said. I smiled at him then looked at Hidan over my shoulder.
"Hey, babe, can you pull your scythe out of my shoulder blade? I'm not going to lie, honey, this hurts like a mother fucker." I said. "Oh, right, uh, can we get a medic nin first? I don't want you to bleed out before they get here." He said. "Don't worry, we're here. I'm assuming you're also a spy sent by An- Kira? Is that you?" I heard. I looked up. Sakura stood there, walking towards us with Naruto, Kakashi, Choji, Ino, Kakuzu and Nyisha. Naruto grinned at me. "Sorry we're late. We would have been here sooner, but we got lost." He said. "You mean you got lost with Kakashi and Choji. We had to come rescue you." Nyisha said. "Hey, Nyisha, what the fuck happened to your face? Did you get slapped by a kunai?" I asked. "Lightning, actually, pretty badass scar, right? And you don't look any better, cripple." She said, motioning to the scythe in my shoulder blade that Hidan was gently tugging on. "Yeah well- MOTHER FUCKER!" I screamed as Sakura tore the scythe out of my back and begin to heal it as my face hit the ground.
After we were all healed, we set off on our way. "Bye guys, we'll see you next time we get a mission!" I said and waved with my not sore arm. I'd have Ana heal it the rest of the way when we got back. "Kira, wait a second!" Naruto called. I stopped and looked back at my brother. Well, technological brother. You know with all the Ayu is Ana and Naruto is Ayu's brother, therefore making him Ana's brother and mutually making him my brother. It's a confusing process. "Yeah?" I asked him. "I know you're probably tired of me asking this. But, do you have any idea when-" He started. "When you'll see Ayu-chan again? I may as well give you the clue Ana was going to give you when she saw you next year, but oh well. Naruto, you'll see Ayu again, when you and Ana together face a side of you that you never thought you'd see." I said. He stared at me, trying to process what I ment. "Okay, see you later!" I said and we were homeward bound.
Dun-dun-duuuuuun! And there you go. Plot has been avoided yet again! Okay, I just want all of you who are also reading "Resort Trip" and "The Pains of Being Konan" I am putting them on Hiatus for now. I will be starting up the sequel to "Konoha High Sakura" soon. It will be "Konoha High Hinata" I am still finishing up the plot line and the first chapter done. I hope to have it up by my Christmas break OR by the time on the Drama Club Christmas party at my school. That would be the 19th. Also, I was planning to do this tomorrow, BUT! I will be in SLC tomorrow. Sorry. Anyways, I'm going to attempt this from now on. If you don't like it, tell me and I'll stop when at least 59% of you say you don't like it. Any ways…
