Ana's P.O.V.
I slipped silently in to the under ground base. As I slipped in, I noticed that everyone but Sasuke was asleep. "Sasuke." I said. It was so dark we could only see each other's eyes. "Come on." I said. We went out of the AUB in to the night air. Sasuke sighed softly. Crysta squawked from my arms and Ren cooed. Sasuke looked over at me. "Come over here." I said. Sasuke walked over to me. "Here, hold you niece." I said, sliding my daughter in to her uncle's arms. He held her gently. She cooed up at him and giggled at his confused face. A small and gentle smile spread across his face. "Hey there." He cooed back at her. "She's so tiny." He said with a smile.
"You know, it's only a matter of time before you have your own." I said. He looked up at me, mortified. "You mean-" He started. "Yup. Sakura probably realizes it now." I said. Sasuke smiled. "Sakura's…" He smiled and hugged Crysta. "You'll have cousins very soon!" He said. Crysta squawked in protest at her uncle's enjoyment. "Sasuke, she's going to kick you!" I warned. Most infants aren't very strong, but, Crysta and Ren were the children of a very strong ninja and the demigoddess of earth. Her kicks were powerful as Sasuke learned. He arched over when she sent a powerful kick to his abdomen. He grunted in surprise. "I warned you." I said. I tickled Crysta and she squawked at me. "Alright. It's time I got these two to bed." I said. "You never told me their names." He said. "Oh, right. The little girl is Crysta and this little guy is Ren!" I said and held up Crysta's twin. "He… looks just like Itachi." Sasuke said. I nodded. "Uh-huh! That's why he's so cute!" I said. I took my daughter back from Sasuke's reluctant hands. "Good night, Sasuke." I said. "Good night, Ana." He said and went back under ground and I went back in the above ground base and put Ren and Crysta in bed.
"So how did it go?" Itachi asked. "I think he almost cried. I think he's going to be more open when we go back." I said. "We?" Itachi asked. I nodded as I put Ren in his crib. "Things are coming closer. What ever moments we have will be filled with planning and preparing. And what ever moments aren't filled are very rare now. This war is coming up quicker than I'd like. Quicker than any of us would like." I said as I pulled Ren's blanket over him and stepped back, staring down at my sleeping son. Itachi's arms wrapped around my waist. "We'll be okay. I know we will." He said. "They have an army." I said. "We have a Naruto." He said. I smiled. That really made my day. "We also have a team of demigoddesses, not to mention a team of unbelievably strong-" "And stupid." "- rouges. While yes, we aren't the most educated bunch, but, even so, at least we have something to take to the battle field, so it gives us a bit of a boost." He said. "Yeah, I guess." I said.
"Come on, you need your sleep, you have a lot of plotting to do tomorrow." He said. I nodded and walked back in to our room with him. I curled up in bed next to him. His arms wrapped around me securely and he fell asleep. As for me, I just couldn't fall asleep. Something told me there was going to be a bit of a big struggle at Konoha when we got there and I had the sneaky suspicion that it wouldn't be a pretty battle. After doing math in my mind, I realized that my twenty second birthday would be in Konoha, so that was a little reassuring. But, we'd also be at war already. It would just be beginning of a long, long war. My biggest fear of it all? Losing my friends, duh. What if we lost someone? The chances were sixteen in one million! They may be slim, but if I try to make sure that my little brothers, my little sisters in law, nephews/nieces, and the kages didn't die, then that would be throwing one -maybe all- of our lives on the line.
Eventually I fell asleep, only to be woken to Crysta throwing a fit because she was hungry and Ren needed his diaper changed. "I got him if you gut her." I said to Itachi. "On it." He said. After feeding then bathing both babies, we stepped out to start on making breakfast. Itachi strapped the kids in to their high chairs. Konan soon joined us with baby Yahiko in her arms. She set him down in his high chair next to Crysta and Ren and the three children had a little baby conversation. "Don't plot anything, you three." She said then joined us in making pancakes, bacon and eggs. "Why didn't anyone tell me having children would be so tough?" She asked. "If kids came with instruction manuals, I would have gotten a cat." I replied. She chuckled. Everyone soon piled in to the kitchen and began to eat. Brianna was the last one in. "Hey, Bri." I said. "I have something to tell everyone." She said. "What's up?" I said.
"Guys… I'm pregnant…" She said. And then Zetsu passed out. "And the vegetable is out." I said and tossed a cup of water on to his head.
3rd person P.O.V.
Mean while in Konoha.
Sakura sat with Hinata, unbelieving the news that she had received. She was still too far in shock to tell her. She had basically shown up at Hinata's door with a dazed look on her face muttering "I have to see Hinata…" Over and over again. Hinata was in the process of changing Minato's diaper while the happy baby boy kicked and squawked at his mother. Hinata sighed as she picked him up and sat with Sakura. He giggled and reached for Sakura. "S-Sakura-chan? Wh-what did y-you need t-to s-see me a-about?" Hinata stuttered. Sakura looked at her lavender-eyed friend. She swallowed hard the spoke for the first time. "I'm…" She trailed off and looked down at her stomach. Hinata noticed she was bulging slightly. "A-are you-?" She asked. Sakura nodded. Hinata's eyes widened as Minato tried to touch his aunt's hair.
"You are pregnant!" Hinata said, losing her stutter in her shock. "Wait… How… Who…?" Sakura muttered, trying to think of who she had sex with in the past five months. Then she remembered Christmas and covered her face. "Wh-who's-?" Hinata started. "Sasuke…" Sakura muttered quietly. Hinata's eyes nearly popped out of her head. "Wh-what? When?" Hinata asked, utterly shocked as Sakura took Minato from his mothers arms. He squawked happily. "Christmas..." Sakura said as the baby rolled around on her lap, laughing happily. "He- Oh…" Hinata said. She moved to get Minato's bottle so he could take his nap. "So a-are you g-going to t-tell him?" Hinata asked. "I don't know. Hell, I don't know if I'll ever see Sasuke again." Sakura sighed as Minato began to get tired and fall asleep on Sakura's lap. Hinata took him back from her and began to feed him.
"What about you? Are you ever going to tell Naruto the he's really… You know." Sakura said, her voice going quiet as Hanabi dashed past Hinata's room. Hinata sighed as the baby began to fall asleep in her arms. "I-I don't kn-know wh-when I-I should t-tell him." Hinata said. "You'll have to do it eventually, Hinata. You shouldn't keep this a secret, especially from Naruto." Sakura said. "I-I know, I-I just… I-I mean h-he's s-so busy a-and all. W-with t-training, m-missions, and t-taking c-care of Minato, h-he b-barely h-has t-time to g-get ramen." Hinata said. Sakura sighed loudly. "Quit making excuses for him, Hinata! Yeah, its sweet he offered to take care of Minato with you, but, you still need to tell him! It's only fair to him to know. And maybe things will get better between you two. If you know what I'm saying." Sakura said teasingly. Hinata blushed. "O-or it c-could s-scare him away." She said. "The only way to know is to tell him." Sakura said. "A-alright! I-I'll tell him n-next t-time w-we're alone!" Hinata said.
Just then there was a loud crash. "No way, old man! It's my turn to take care of baby Minato! I'm not letting Hinata-chan down now!" Naruto yelled from the kitchen. "Speak of the devil." Sakura said with a smirk. Hinata sighed and Naruto came in. "Don't just burst in to my daughter's room without permission!" Hiashi yelled at the blonde hero. "Hi, Hinata-chan! I came to pick up Minato like I promised! Oh, Hi Sakura!" Naruto said. Hiashi looked ready to murder the blonde. "Hiashi-sama, why don't you come and tell me the news Neji had for you? Don't worry, I'll keep it a secret." Sakura said and lead the elder Hyuga out and away from the (hopefully) future couple.
"Hi, Hinata-chan." The orange clad ninja said. "H-hello, Naruto-kun." Hinata said. She stared down at the sleeping baby in her arms. "So, um… I came… like I promised." Naruto said. "God, what do I say to her?" He thought. "S-so, u-um… h-have y-you h-heard th-that Tenten i-is p-pregnant?" Hinata asked. "Eh? No, I didn't. Neji finally made a move, eh?" Naruto joked. Hinata blushed. "Y-yeah. I-I guess h-he shouldn't h-have t-tossed the c-condom Ana g-gave him f-for Christmas." Hinata giggled. Naruto burst out in laughter. He had never expected to hear Hinata say such a thing! Minato stirred in his sleep, catching the attention of both of his secret parents.
"He's so tiny, and sweet. Like you." Naruto said to Hinata. Hinata blushed. "M-me?" she asked. Naruto nodded and stroked the sleeping baby's cheek. "I bet he's going to grow up to be just like you. He'll be a great and kind ninja. Smart, brave and strong." Naruto said. "He thinks I'm smart, brave and strong! Naruto Uzumaki thinks I'm smart, brave and strong!" Hinata thought. "H-he m-might p-pick up f-from you, too. I-I bet h-he'll grow up t-to be fearless a-and an a-amazing p-person." Hinata said. Naruto blushed. "She thinks I'm fearless and an amazing person!" he thought. "So, I guess it's time we handed off?" Naruto asked with a disappointed look on his face. "Y-yeah. Th-thank you f-for b-being h-his t-temporary fa-father." Hinata said as she slipped the baby in to his father's arms. "Sure, Hinata. I'm glad to." Naruto said, gently, yet securely holding the baby. He took the diaper bag and stroller from her. "I-I'll walk y-you o-out." Hinata said. The two walked out of the Hyuga Manor. "I can't tell him yet! It's not time!" Hinata thought. "I'll see you in two days, Hinata." Naruto said. "O-okay." Hinata said. She leaned for ward and kissed Minato's cheek. "B-be good f-for d-daddy." Hinata whispered to him. Then Naruto did something she never expected him to do. Something he didn't realize he did until he got home.
Naruto kissed Hinata's cheek.
As her brain processed this, Naruto started home with his secret son. "See ya' later, Hinata-chan." He said. "B-bye." She said and went back in to her house. Sakura practically pounced on her. "So? Did you tell him? How'd he take it? Is he happy? Will Minato have a baby brother or sister soon?" She asked. "Wh-what?! Wh-what exactly d-do you think w-we did?!" Hinata squealed. "Well… Each other." Sakura said. "S-Sakura!" Hinata said, blushing redder than a tomato. "What? You have before." The rosette said. "Sakura! I didn't tell him! B-but… H-he k-kissed m-my ch-cheek…" Hinata said. Sakura squealed happily and hugged the shy girl.
Back at the base.
Ana and Kira sat at the window. Watching, feeling, waiting for Tobi and Tabetha to disappear. The two had been sent away on a mission for something. Maybe Nagato was finally fed up and sent them away. Ana was getting more and more anxious as the two pains in the asses took their time leaving to their mission. "What, did they stop to fuck or something?! Use a god damned condom!" Ana growled. Kira smacked her sister. "Calm down." She said. "Sorry, I'm just anxious. In two the months all hell is going to break lose. We have a lot of plotting and planning to do." Ana said. Tabetha and Tobi finally left range and Ana leapt out of her seat. Kira stood to gather the rest of the Akatsuki and Akatsugirls.
"So, what are we all gather here for?" Hidan asked, wrapping his arms around his wife. "Well, Ana said there was something important she needed to tell us while Tobi and Tabetha were still out. Might have something to do with the future or something." Kira explained, not exactly sure about what was going on with her sister. Ana soon walked in to the room. "So what's so important?" Hidan asked. "There's been something I have been hiding from most of you for a week." She said, eyes darting to her husband when she said most. Itachi moved and stepped out of the room. "What are you hiding?" Nyisha asked, shifting Ren in her arms as Kakuzu tried to get Crysta to let go of his mask. Ana looked around at her family. "Ana?" Konan asked. Ana stepped to the side and Itachi came out of a separate room, holding two people on his shoulders. Ana went and helped him, taking one off his shoulder. That person pushed Ana's hands away. "I can stand on my own, Ana." They said and took a hazy step forward. Everyone gasped when they saw who it was. "Oh, my god.." Brianna said.
"Hey, guys." Miranda said. Brianna ran right up and hugged her friend. "You're alive!" She gasped clutching Miranda closer two her. "Yeah, I'm alive. I've just been under ground." She laughed. "Hey, I'm here, too, un." Deidara said, still hanging off Itachi's shoulders. "How are you two alive?" Kisame asked, astounded that his friends were alive. "Yeah, how did you guys survive? I felt you die." Brianna said. Miranda, now leaning on Brianna for support, looked at Ana. Everyone else followed he example and looked at the leader. "That was a delusion." Ana said. "What?" Kira asked. "If Tobi and Tabby didn't see all of us in pain, real pain, they would have known something is up. So, I simply tore off your ties to Miranda and slowly stitched them back in so they wouldn't suspect." Ana explained. "Okay, how about getting them out of there and leaving the crater behind?" Brianna asked.
Ana reached out and pointed out that window. "I'll only do this once, so watch that tree closely." She said. Everyone looked outside at the tree and pointed to. The earth suddenly rose up around the tree. With a swift movement from Ana, the ground caved in and the tree was gone and a crater left in its place. Ana made a smooth horizontal line with her hand and the ground smoothed out. Everyone stared in amazement. "That hurts a lot more than it looks." She said. "It looks like it." Miranda said.
"Oh, by the way, we missed something important." Kira said. She reached in to her pocket. "What did we forget?" Ana asked. Kira pulled a small box from her pocket and turned to her husband. "Happy late birthday!" She said to him. "What? I was hoping you forgot." Hidan pouted. Kira shoved the box in his hands and kissed his cheek. "Just enjoy you're damn present!" she said. Hidan opened the box and found a small locket necklace with a picture of him and Kira in it. Hidan immediately slipped it on. "It's cute. And I'm never taking it off." Hidan said. Ana went over and hugged her brother in law. "Hey, happy birthday, Hidan-chan!" Ana said. Hidan blushed at the teasing of his sister in law. "Shut the fuck up, bitch!" Hidan said. Everyone laughed as Hidan tried to shake off Ana. "Mah! Mah!" Crysta giggled and clapped her hands. Ana came and took her daughter from Kakuzu's arms and walked back over to Hidan. "Give uncle Hidan a hug, Crysie!" Ana said. Crysta laughed and hugged Hidan's arm. "Yeah, thanks kid. You're loud and a pain in the ass, but your cute." Hidan said. Crysta giggled and smacked Hidan's cheek. A small party broke out and eventually, Ana and Itachi took Crysta and Ren up to bed so they could sleep peacefully. As soon as they were asleep in their cribs, Ana went and stood out on the balcony and stared over the forest tree tops. Itachi stepped out behind her.
"Are you okay? What eating at you?" Itachi said. Ana shook her head. Her wings stretched out of her back and flapped once to make sure they still worked. "I just… have this weird feeling… Some thing big is going to happen… in Konoha." Ana said. She stared down in the direction of the secret under ground base. Itachi stared at her as her wings folded back in to seemingly nonexistence. In many ways she was still the teenaged early graduate that he left back in a world that seemed not to exist now. In even more ways she had become a fine woman, a wonderful leader and an even better wife and mother, this girl before him was no longer Ana Rae Black, but Ana Ayu Uchiha. A mother in times of crisis. "I wonder if mother had been involved in the third world war… would she be as Ana is now?" Itachi wondered. He stepped behind his wife and wrapped his arms around her. "We'll have to be careful of what we do. If you need to go and meet with some one first, do it. I trust you." Itachi said. She turned and kissed him. "Let's go back down to the party and enjoy the time we have." She said. They came back down to the party in time for the wrap up at midnight.
"Alright, guys, it's twelve o'clock, the party is over." Nagato said. "Aww." Brianna pouted. "Alright, Pein, but before we all go to bed there is something I want to say." Kakuzu said. "Oh? What is so important?" Nyisha asked. Kakuzu pulled a small box from his pocket and fell down on one knee. "Will you marry me?" He asked, holding Nyisha's hand. Nyisha's eyes went wide as she processed the question. "ABOUT FUCKING TIME!" She yelled, then kissed him. "About fucking time." She said with a nod. Everyone clapped and they were off to bed. The girls did not get a lot of sleep. Their folded wings kept twitching painfully. Ana eventually gave up on sleep and went out for a fly. Her wings sent her flying across the sky, carrying her further and further away from her home. She wasn't even paying attention, almost like she was asleep while flying. She shook her head and found herself circling over Konoha. "Wh-What am I doing here?! If some one were to feel my chakra I'd get shot down! Turn around and go home!" She thought. Suddenly, Ana's vision blurred and she felt as if she was falling. "N-no! Ayu! Stop it! It's not me! Then who is it? I don't know!" Ana and Ayu thought with each other.
Suddenly, Ana's vision cleared and she found herself a few miles away from Konoha. "What?" She asked. She flew further out and her wings stopped over a field that seemed in the middle of no where. "This… is where I will either lose my life… or lose my brother." She said, recognizing the landscape. She felt the fear of the trees that would be crushed. The shock of the rocks that would crush endless shinobi. The fear and pain of the earth that would be drained by the Juubi. Ana's fists tightened. "July sixteenth." She said. "The day we attack and make peace with Konoha. Hopefully." She turned and her wings lead her back home in time to get two hours of sleep.
Ummmm. What the hell just happened with Ana? Why am I asking? Aren't I the author and should know these things? Well, you're right, I am the author, but you know, I kinda like to lock all my ideas in safe so I surprise my self… Don't look at me in that tone of voice.
