3rd person P.O.V.
The day was for once calm. You know, once you get the past the fact that Brianna and Nyisha were panicking about various things for the wedding, Kira and Amanda were distracting Tobi and Tabetha as Shay brought lunch to Miranda and everyone in the underground base. Ana was in her medical lab, making some secret medicine. In the journal by her side, there were notes on chakra pills. Shay walked down the hall towards the lab, lost in thought and wandering as she often did.
Boom!
Shay jumped back in to reality as Ana came sprinting out of the lap, coughing with a black cloud following her out. "What did you do?" She asked. "AHEM! So, apparently certain medicinal herbs explode when heated!" Ana coughed. Shay smacked Ana across her head. "Dumbass." Shay said. Ana laughed. Shay received a text from Miranda at that moment. As she replied, she noticed the date. Her hand shot out and grabbed Ana's arm. "What is it, Shay?" Ana asked. "Ana, it's June ninth. Not only have we been here for a year, but it's your husband's birthday!" Shay said. "Shhh… Don't let Kira hear. If Kira realizes its Itachi's birthday and I haven't done something, she'll spoil the surprise." Ana whispered. "Ooooh. Gottcha." Shay said. The day went on normally as it could for the Akatsuki. With five plus explosions from Ana's lab exploding.
Night came quickly. Crysta and Ren were sound asleep in their cribs. Itachi looked out over the underground base from the balcony. Ana's arms wrapped around his torso. "Hello, sexy." She said, voice soft. He smirked. "None of that. Remember what happened last time?" He said. "Yup." She said happily. "Come on, I want to show you something." She said. "What is it?" He asked as she stood on the rail of the balcony. "Shh. You'll ruin the surprise, just hold tight." She said as he stepped up next to her. Her wings exploded from her back. He grabbed her waist in surprise. "Hold on tight." She said. She kicked off the rail and Itachi watched in amazement as they soared high in to the sky and further away from the base until it looked like a rock in the distance. He turned his head to look at her as she circled around. "Hold on!" She said. Itachi held tighter to his wife as she dived towards the forest not far behind the base.
"Sorry we're late, had to wait for Tabetha and Tobi to be in bed." Ana said. "I was beginning to think you forgot." Sasuke said, stepping out of the shadows as Itachi's feet finally touched the ground. Sasuke tossed a small box to Itachi. "What's this?" He asked as he caught it. "Sorry it's not as extravagant as your wife's, but happy birthday, niisan." Sasuke said. Itachi opened the box and smiled. It was one of the painted rocks he and Sasuke did as children. "Thought a good memory was about due." Sasuke said. Itachi smiled. "Thank you, Sasuke." He said. "Miranda, you ready?" Ana asked. Miranda dropped from the trees, ocean blue wings out. "Just waiting for your signal." Miranda said. "Ready to fly, Sasuke?" Ana asked. "Fly?" Sasuke asked. "Even though it is Itachi's birthday present, you get to see it, too." Ana said. Miranda wrapped her arm around Sasuke's shoulder. "Hold tight." She said. Sasuke held on to Miranda and Itachi held tight to Ana. The two girls took off in to the night sky. Sasuke and Itachi were amazed at the speed of the two.
They found themselves high above Konoha. "Hold on." Ana said, wrapping her arms tight around Itachi. Miranda wrapped her arms tightly around Sasuke and the two girls folded their wings and they dropped like rocks. Their wings opened seconds before they hit the ground. Itachi and Sasuke panted and waited for their hearts to slow back to regular pace. They fluttered gently and silently to the roof tops. They ducked as a night guard walked by. "What is a night guard doing here?" Ana whispered. "Shh." Miranda whispered. They watched as the light from the candle from the night guard circle around. "Stay here, I'll take care of it." Ana said and dropped off of the roof and quickly slipped in to a pocket of the building. The guard walked by and stopped with the candle right in front of her, looking the other way. Ana blew out the candle, but not before she recognized the guard. "Uh!" He grunted as she knocked him out. "I'll get him later, let's continue on." Ana said. The three dropped down off of the roof.
"Where the hell are we?" Sasuke asked. "The house that Miranda, Kira and I have been building in secret ever since we left Konoha. It is safely out of the way, so that way when Pein attacks it won't be too damaged. I hope that as soon as everything is over, this is where we could live." Ana said. Itachi smiled and wrapped his arms around her. "I hope so, too. I love it." He said. They went in and looked around the house. Itachi liked it the more he saw of it. The time came to leave and Ana quickly put the guard in his home and the group went back to the base and went to bed. "Itachi." Ana whispered. "Hm?" He asked, starting to slip in to sleep. He felt Ana's lips on his. "Happy Birthday. I love you." She said. "I love you, too. And that's the best birthday present I could ask for." He said and they fell asleep.
The next morning, Ana decided to take the girls out in to the forest and teach them something she discovered with Miranda a few nights ago. "What's this called again?" Nyisha asked. "We call it Shifting. It's kinda like what Zetsu does, only we can do it through the air instead of the ground. Two people of compatible elements, such as Light and Dark, for example, can move together or one can move the other through the air at incredible and untouchable speed. It's faster than flying. Also, think of what Death Eaters do in Harry Potter. Let's show them." Ana said. "Having control of Earth, I am compatible with everyone, so, Miranda and I combine our powers and…" She said. Miranda grabbed her hand and they turned in to a swirling cloud of green and blue and suddenly, they were behind everyone. "Just like that." Ana said. Miranda could only help Amanda with hers, them being water and air, so Ana worked with everyone else. It was only a matter of time before they could shift together. Then the hard part came, having them shift solo. "I don't expect you guys to get this one right away because Miranda and I are still working on it ourselves." Ana said, Sure enough, it was often that Kira or Nyisha were stuck in a tree or Amanda and Brianna got stuck in the ground. Even Ana had the occasion of getting stuck in a rock. "Hopefully we won't ever have to use this in battle." Ana said. "Yeah." Everyone agreed in unison.
Days past and before anyone one could blink, it was June twenty third. The day of the wedding. Kakuzu was sweating up a storm and Nyisha was pacing. "Knock, knock." Ana said as she entered the room. "Oh, thank god, let's shift out of here!" Nyisha said. "What?" Ana asked. "I'm scared, Ana. What if he changes his mind?" Nyisha asked. "Funny, he said the same thing." Ana said. "Really?" Nyisha said. Ana nodded. "You two were meant to be. I can feel it. Nothing could make this any more perfect." Ana said. Nyisha smiled. "Except this." Ana said and held out a small box to Nyisha. "What's this?" Nyisha asked. "This is a big night, Nyish. I think you should have this." Ana said as Nyisha opened the box and gasped. She pulled out a Ruby necklace. "Mo's necklace?" She asked. Ana nodded. "It's yours now. You remind me a lot of Mo. I can't think of anyone else who deserves it more." Ana said. Nyisha put the necklace on and looked in the mirror. "It's beautiful." She said. "Yeah, you are." Ana said, tears building in her eyes. Nyisha turned and hugged Ana. "Thank you. For everything in the eighteen years I've known you." She said. "I love you, Nyisha." Ana said. "I love you, too, Ana." Ana said.
The two got in to place and the wedding began. Itachi acted as Nyisha's father and walked her down the isle. Ana smiled as she watched her friends get married, trying not to laugh as Kakuzu sweated waiting to see his bride. When Kakuzu saw Nyisha in her wedding dress, he almost burst in to tears. When Nyisha's eyes met Kakuzu's, Itachi was the only thing keeping her from running down the isle as fast as her legs would carry her in heels. Everyone was getting choked up as they watched. Even Itachi. Yes, even Itachi. Nyisha had trouble focusing on what the kidnapped priest was saying. She finally tuned in for her part. "I do." She said. The priest turned to Kakuzu. "Do you, Kakuzu Yasui(A/N: Not actual name, just what I came up with for lack of better knowledge.), take Nyisha Storms to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in poverty and in wealth, as long as you both shall live?" The priest said. Ana was trying her best not to laugh at the finally revealed last name of Kakuzu. Ana, learning Japanese in the four years the groups were apart, knew that Kakuzu's last name "Yasui" was Japanese for "cheap" oddly enough, Ana found that it fit. "I do." Kakuzu said. "I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride." The priest said. Kakuzu leapt at the opportunity. It was needless to say that quite a few tears were shed.
Miranda's P.O.V.
I waited impatiently for Ana or someone to bring us wedding cake or something. I was sitting next to Deidara, backs to the wall, his arm draped tiredly over my shoulder. Sasuke was doing push ups to keep himself occupied and keep his strength up. This was as close to training any of us got. Suigetsu was sitting on top of Sasuke's back, looking absolutely bored as Sasuke lifted him and the heavy ass sword he carried. Juugo was going through the last book in our collection. Karin was –what else- bitching about everything as loud as she could. "How much longer do we have until we can leave this shit place?" She whined loudly. No one responded to her. "Come on, why do we even hide in here any more? There is no reason to! I'm sure the ass holes we are supposed to be fighting are dead by now! How long have we been down here? Five years?" Karin bitched on, my temper spiking. I looked at my husband. "Vrea Cineva daca am ucis Aceasta catea chiar asci si acum?" Would anyone care if I murdered this bitch right here and now? I asked. "Cred ca suntem cu toti de acord, un. Dar cu exceptia ca un alt timp, yeah." I think we all would agree, un. But save that for another time, yeah. He said. I sighed in defeat. "Fine." I grumbled in English. "Seriously, I think they all just put us down here to die and left." Karin bitched. "Use logic, Karin. If they left us to die, there wouldn't be a different person brining us food and water and taking us out for fresh air every night. If it were the same person every time, I might agree with you." Juugo said, not looking away from his book. I sighed again and laid down on Deidara's lap.
"Oh, what ever! I just want to get the hell out of here! It's so boring, the air is stuffy, I haven't bathed since we got here- mhp!" Ice covered Karin's mouth, shutting her up until I decided to drop the ice or until it melted. "Just shut the fuck up already." I said. "Mhp! Mrrhm mrr mmhh!" She said. "I said shut up. The more you struggle the ice will extend more until it covers your nose and stops all forms of oxygen. And the longer I leave it on, it will suck all of the moisture out of your face and could very well give you an infection if I will it. Honestly, I don't want to do that because I'll have to hear you bitch about it for the rest of the time we're here. Now, I'm going to take the ice off your face. If you continue to bitch, it will be a spear in your throat next time." I said. Karin nodded, not trying to struggle. I dropped the ice, drenching her with water. "You bitch!" Karin started. I held up my arm and an ice spear formed around it. Her mouth snapped shut and curled in to the fetal position. I sighed and made a ball of ice. I flipped it in the air and used my breath to turn it to ice and then use my hands to melt it a bit. It was a little game I played to pass the time, and it did a little bit for the stench of the air. I mean, after all, we pissed and shit down here. Plus that, thank god Ana hasn't made tacos since our "death" because seeing and hearing Karin fart loudly would be hilarious, but the smell… I'm sorry, but I'd blow our cover.
I heard the sound of the ground shifting and I turned the ice ball in to a water ball and shot it in Sasuke's face, to cool him down and get rid of the sent of sweat. Sasuke stopped doing push ups and let Suigetsu slide off his back. Sasuke sat on his heels and we waited. "Sup, bitches." Ana said as she walked in. There was a tray with wedding cake slices on it. One for each of them. "Alright, a little treat for everyone, courtesy of the bride." Ana said, handing little cakes to everyone. Everyone seemed to take it eagerly. Except for Karin. She wouldn't take it.
"Too many carbs and fat! I'll lose my figure!" She said. "Karin, eat the damn cake or I will puke it down your throat." Ana said. "You wouldn't dare!" Karin said. "Try me." Ana said. She glared in to Karin's eyes, the fight of minds was under way and Ana starts with a choke hold! Karin sighed and took the cake. Ana stared her down as she ate. Oh! The Earth Demon has Bitch Tits Magee in a sleeper hold! Hold on ladies and gentlemen this could be it! Karin swallowed her last bite of cake and Ana sat back. And that is it ladies and gentlemen! Bitch Tits Magee has been taken down by our reigning camp The Earth Demon! And the crowd goes wild! After all the cake was eaten, Ana took us out in to the night air to refresh ourselves. She had us follow her until we reached a river not far away. "Men bathe here. Karin, you're further down that way." Ana said. "What? You mean I got to go alone? What if there is a rouge ninja that is waiting to rape me and kill me?!" Karin asked. "Remind me to give him a cookie and five thousand bucks." Ana said and handed Karin some soap. She groaned and walked around the tree barrier Ana obviously bent for the protection of Uchiha's and Uzumaki's alike. Well, maybe more for Uchiha.
Ana sat in a tree, back facing the men as they cleaned themselves. I went in a hallowed out tree (obviously made by Ana) and used water magic to clean myself. I was done quicker than men and joined Ana in the tree. "Hey." I said and sat by her. "Hey. You know, it's louder with out you. Tobi and Tabetha think that they have an advantage over us and Tobi has been sending my threatening looks ever since." Ana said. "Hell has awakened." I said. "I wish. Handling hell I can handle. The only reason why we're even in this mess is because hell refused to take these assholes and we're the scapegoats." Ana said. I sighed. "No joke there." I said. "Yeah." She sighed. We stared up at the star-filled sky. "This night is definitely one to remember." I said. Ana nodded in agreement. "Worried?" I asked. "Of course. I'm a mother and a leader, name a time since we got here I haven't been worried." She said. "Maybe you need a break?" I suggested. She shook her head. "Not with one week before we all move out and leave behind what we hold dear." She said. "Yeah." I sighed, utterly defeated.
Ana was right. We had only one week to prepare ourselves for the fight ahead. I thought back to when we first got here –no, when we found Itachi unconscious in Ana's bedroom five years ago- when it all started. When our lives were changed forever. When nothing would ever be the same for us ever again. Hell I can't even remember what my life was like before we were all dragged in to something that is possibly only the buissness of Ana.
No.
This is all of our business. It may be the price to pay to be one of Ana's best friends. It may be the price to pay for a dream. But it's a price damn well worth paying. Tabetha may have stabbed us in the back –and who knew who else would, if anyone.- but I know for certain that no matter what happened, what choices are made, what chances have to be taken, sacrifices that had to be made, I would follow Ana Ayu Uchiha in to certain death, any where, any time. After all, she was there for me when she was still Ana Rae Black and I was still Miranda Zachary instead of Miranda Bakuhatsu, wife of Deidara Bakuhatsu. (A/N: Not Deidara's actual last name, just what I came up with for lack of better knowledge.) Ana has been a long part of my life, a part that I honestly don't want to let go. So I'm by her side until the end.
"This night is definitely one to remember." I said. "True that." Ana said. We stared silently at the stars for a while. "Ana, do you ever wonder where we'd be if the Akatsuki hadn't fallen in to our lives?" I asked. Ana sighed. "Many times I have thought that, myself." She said. "Where do you think we'd be right now if all that we went through never happened?" I asked. She shrugged. "I don't know. Kira might be off in medical school now. Tabetha would be a backstabbing bitch to another group. Shay might be an Olympic swimmer or a musician. Brianna would be a horse doctor. Nyisha, who knows? An actress maybe? Amanda would probably be off doing photography. I might have stayed at the asylum or moved to Texas. Where would you be?" Ana asked me. I shrugged. "I don't know. Hell I don't even remember what life was like before the Akatsuki were part of our lives. It almost seems like that world is just a dream now. How are you so certain what everyone would take?" I asked. "Everyone told me at some point." She said. She sighed and hopped off the tree. "Come on, it's about time for everyone to wake up. I better get you guys back." Ana said. She called for the rest of the idiots. They stepped out, clean and clothed. Ana was disappointed to find Karin was still alive. We all returned to the base and settled in for the day. I leaned against Deidara and closed my eyes to sleep.
Ana's P.O.V.
I woke up the next morning to Itachi humming a lullaby to Crysta to calm her down. I stood up and ran a hand through my messy black hair. I looked at the clock. Ten in the morning. Hm, I'm back on my high school sleeping schedule. Itachi slipped Crysta in her swing next to Ren. I sighed and stared at my children. They had grown up so much since birth. I smiled as Crysta gave me her biggest toothless grin. "Good morning, beautiful." Itachi said, sitting by me. "Hey, hot stuff." I said. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Huh? What makes you think something's wrong?" I asked. "You only talk to me like you're sixteen when you're distracted or something is weighing on you. What's wrong?" He asked. I shook my head. "I just… can't shake this feeling that some sort of event or some sort of thing that will affect our plans will go down in Konoha." I said. He wrapped an arm around me.
"Don't worry any more. We got this." Itachi said. I rested my head on his shoulder. "I know we do. But, I just can't shake this feeling. It's maddening." I said. He reached up and massaged my shoulders. I held completely still as he did. Slowly, he worked the knot out of my shoulders. "Dear, you're too stressed out. You need to relax." He said. "I know. I just wish I could, Itachi. I really do." I said. He kissed my cheek gently. I looked in to my husband's worried, yet loving eyes. "You don't have to worry about us, you know." He said. "Itachi, I'm the wife of an S-rank criminal, the mother of two tiny babies, and the leader of a group of girls that probably have been added to the bingo book by now. I'm never going to stop worrying." I said. He smiled at me and kissed my head. "I know." He said. "One week until hell. You better be ready." I said. "I always am, dear. I always am." He said. I looked back at my twins. The giggled happily to each other, completely unaware of what we were saying. Of what was coming. They suddenly turned their happy grins to me. Almost as if they were saying don't worry, momma. Everything will be okay.
3rd Person P.O.V.
The week passed filled with preparation. Nagato went off to his mission in Konoha. Tabetha and Tobi following suit, making sure that some people died and Konoha was destroyed. The rest of the Akatsuki stood together, watching them leave. "Konan." Ana said. The blunette holding all three babies looked at Ana. "Go." She said. Konan nodded and hopped to where Nagato's original body was, the kids with her where they would be safe. "Brianna. Get the others." Ana said. Brianna went to the underground base, gathering Miranda, Deidara, Sasuke, Suigetsu, Juugo and Karin. "Get ready. We set out in ten." Ana said. Everyone gathered up the essentials, things they couldn't live with out. Ana and Itachi packed all the baby things for Crysta and Ren. "Take a good look around, babe. We're not coming back." She said. "No. We're not. We're moving on to a new home. This place is nothing but a memory now." Itachi replied. Ana released a sigh and turned her back on the place where her children were made and raised for six months.
"Are you ready for this?" Nyisha asked. Ana looked over her shoulder. "Do I have a choice?" Ana asked, wings unfurling from her back. The rest of the girls did the same. They turned toward the village and set out. Deidara, the equipment, Karin, Suigetsu, Juugo and Sasuke rode on Deidara's clay birds while the other guys held on to their girlfriends/wives as they spread their wings and flew as fast as their wings would let them.
I once again apologize for the late update. On the bright side, summer is coming to me in only a few weeks and I'm not going anywhere unless I convince my family to take me a cross the country to see my best friend during the summer! So basically I will have nothing better to do with my life other than write these and play the Xbox for three months! Bye-bye now! Don't forget to review!
Next time on EA2: Screwin' with Shippuden:
"Oh my me…"
"How are you here?"
