The rest of Monday passed relatively easily for Stephanie and Tuesday's Smackdown taping was just as easy to deal with. Surprisingly Hunter had completely left her alone and hadn't gone anywhere near her so she hadn't had to deal with him at all but tonight she had to deal with her parents and she wasn't sure what was worse, Hunter or them.

Sighing as she cut Mikey's sandwiches in quarters she placed them on a plate before she took it to the table and placed it in front of him, "eat up please."

Lifting his head Mikey frowned at his Mom, "you sad?"

Stopping mid-turn she turned back to look at him with a raised eyebrow, "what do you mean am I sad? Why would you think I'm sad Mikey?"

"'Cause you no smile."

Kneeling down in front of him she placed her hands gently on his legs, "I promise you that I am happy. I'm just a little distracted and worried about your Grandpa and work and well just a lot of things are on my mind."

Satisfied with her response he grabbed hold of a quarter of his sandwich and put nearly the entire thing in his mouth in one go which earned him a stern glare from his Mom, "smaller bites please Mikey, you are not a pig and you do not need to stuff food in your mouth like that."

Still with his mouth full Mikey apologised, "sowwie Mommy."

Standing up she shook her head, "and please no speaking with your mouth full."

Feeling like she was losing a battle with her sanity she walked over to the kettle and switched it on to make herself a strong cup of coffee.

A few hours later and Stephanie arrived at her parent's house ready for dinner, she was sure this was going to be an ambush to find out details about what happened at Raw but with any luck she could deflect attention and retain what was left of her sanity.

Helping Mikey out of his car seat she placed him on the floor and watched as he ran straight to the front door and started knocking on it. Shaking her head she slammed the car door, "Mikey will you hold up and wait for me please."

Linda was in the middle of preparing dinner when she heard a constant knocking at the door and knew immediately that it had to be Mikey so rubbing her hands on her apron she headed from the kitchen to the front door and swung the door open to see Mikey stood there with his two monkeys, "well hello there."

Mikey ran into Linda's legs and flung his arms around them hugging her tightly, "miss 'oo."

Hugging her grandson she smiled softly, "I missed you too. I know somebody else who missed you too."

Lifting his head he looked up at his Grandma hopefully, "Poppy?"

Chuckling she nodded her head, "yes Poppy, he's in the lounge waiting for you if you want to go and see him."

Not needing a second invitation Mikey went screaming into the lounge.

Stephanie sighed as she made her way to the front door just in time to see and hear Mikey go running and screaming towards the lounge, "Mom you should have told him to be quiet."

Rolling her eyes Linda shook her head, "he is not going to do any harm, he's just excited and your Dad will get a chuckle out of it."

Frowning Stephanie shut the front door behind her, "he'd better, I'd hate for Mikey to put any extra strain on his heart."

"What about my head listening to his complaints? If I didn't allow Mikey to be a child and show his excitement then I would have never heard the end of it."

Putting her hands up in defence Stephanie gave in, "okay okay, I get the picture. Now will you get off my back please?"

Linda chuckled, "I can definitely think about it yes. Do I get a hug?"

Quickly stepping forward Stephanie wrapped her arms around her Mom in a hug, "I'm sorry."

Kissing the side of her daughter's head she smiled softly, "you are forgiven. We should go and check on the boys to make sure they're not getting up to any mischief."

"I think you mean to tell them to stop getting up to mischief."

Linda laughed as they both pulled away, "that too."

Vince was so excited to see his Grandson and when he saw him come running into the room and heard him screaming with excitement he couldn't help but smile widely, "I missed you Mikey."

Mikey ran over to his Grandpa and climbed onto the couch beside him before he crawled into his lap and hugged him tightly, "missed you Poppy."

Hugging his Grandson he pressed a soft kiss to the top of his head, "have you been a good boy for your Mommy since I last saw you?"

Nodding his head eagerly he turned and sat on Vince's lap cuddling into him, "yup."

It was only when Mikey sat properly on his lap that Vince saw the new monkey he was carrying, "where did you get the new monkey Mikey?"

Mikey grinned widely and hugged the monkey tightly, "Hunner."

Looking at his wife and daughter as they entered the room Vince shot them both a quick smile before he turned his attention to Mikey again, "Hunter gave you a new monkey? Wasn't that nice of him?"

Nodding his head Mikey held the monkey out to his Grandpa, "he gots me lots of toys too."

Widening his eyes to show his surprise to the youngster despite knowing it already he played along, "wow, aren't you a lucky boy? Did you say thank you to him?"

"Yes and Mommy fanked him for her flowers. He wants to be fwends."

Vince raised his eyebrow not entirely sure what or who he was meaning, "who wants to be friends? Hunter and your Mommy or Hunter and yourself?"

Looking at his Grandpa like he had just asked the stupidest question ever Mikey shook his head, "me and Hunner, we fwends now, I likes him."

Stephanie squeezed her eyes tightly shut hearing Mikey say that and she didn't want to stick around so she muttered, "I can't do this." She then stormed out of the room to get some air.

Mikey watched his Mom leave and went to get off his Grandpa's lap to follow her but Vince grabbed hold of him, "stay here Mikey and let your Grandma go, me and you have a lot to catch up on."

Linda watched as Mikey turned to her hopefully and she smiled softly and nodded her head, "don't worry I'm going now. I need somebody to keep a close eye on your Poppy and I think you're the perfect person for the job so stay here and make sure he doesn't move."

A smile came to his face and Mikey nodded eagerly, "I cans do dat."

Laughing softly she followed Stephanie out of the room to see what was going on leaving the boys alone together to talk about whatever boys would end up talking about.
