Kayci POV

"No, Resh stop it! don't be an idiot!" Kayci begged, grabbing him to keep him from running off to the Embassy to exact revenge. Through all of Resh's skill at fighting she knew he couldn't just storm the place by himself, he'd die.

"Kayci, get the fuck off me, I don't care if you don't want me to kill her," he growled, breaking her arms off him.

"You'll die! You're just one man, and at the Embassy there are so many Thalmor, even if you get in far enough to kill her, the rest will fight back, and you know you can't kill everyone there!" she shouted, trying to reason with him as he started to leave, it was clear she wasn't getting particularly far though.

Resh frowned, ignoring her logic, even if it was true. "I'm willing to take the risk."

"This isn't a risk, this is certain death, you'd need at least ten other people to even have a chance at leaving alive, something you don't have. I can't allow you to kill yourself Resh," the smaller Tsaesci told him as sternly as she could, getting in the way of the door.

"Why do you care?" he muttered, trying to push past.

At that Kayci got angry, shoving him. "Why the fuck wouldn't I care?! you're my best friend! you're like family to me, and now, you actually have a family… and I don't want to see you get hurt…"

Calming down a bit at that he looked her in the eye. "What do you mean 'like family to you'? you've always been like a sister to me, so I don't want to be hearing any more of this 'actually family' from you any more. This baby is a new edition, not just the start."

"Thank you. But Resh, I understand you want her dead, believe me I want her dead more than anyone. But there must be a safer way, we should figure it out once we sort out what happens with you child," Kayci explained, finally able to crack a forced smile through tears when he nodded in agreement.

"Fine," he sighed, putting his weapon back down. "But the moment Lydia wakes up and we think of a name I'm going to find a way to kill her, preferably a very violent way."

Lydia POV

Even through everything she had been through earlier Lydia couldn't help but smile. Despite the horrible pain, she had a child, and had actually managed to survive the birth unlike many less fortunate mothers.

It seemed she had woken up just on time too, as Resh and Kayci had only just walked through the door to see her. Followed a few moments later by a groggy looking Brelyna, evidently she had only now finished throwing up.

Seeing the new visitors Colette decided to hand the child over to Lydia, and give the group some privacy, everything was clean, cords were cut, and all the checks she needed to perform were done, so there was no chance of danger to their daughter.

"Have you thought of a name yet? you've had a few more hours to think about it," Lydia asked, smiling down at her new little angel.

She may have looked like she had been crying earlier, but Kayci still felt the need to chime in happily. "My idea is actually qui-"

"No it's not," almost everyone interrupted at once, not even caring to hear her suggestions, preemptively assuming they would be bad.

"Maybe we could name her after someone we know?" Lydia inquired. "I don't really know anyone though and haven't had any family to choose from, but you might."

"I don't know, if she were a Tsaesci I would name her Serpico after my mother, but that doesn't sound anything like what someone would name a Nord. We need something Nordic or it won't make sense."

"Hence Liss-"

Lydia whispered at her. "No, Kayci. You were irritating enough during the birth, I don't need you annoying me now, I swear you touched my crotch more than the fucking midwife."

"What?!" Brelyna snapped as well, wondering what she meant by that, she would've assume Kayco would have more sense than that.

At that Resh immediately exploded at her. "You have no right to be angry at her! do you know what she's been through?!"

There was no time for a response as Lydia was the first one to reply. "That's it, I'm not going to listen to you two argue, especially when she's trying to sleep. You two get out, Kayci you can stay though, just don't get all 'touchy feely'."

Outside

"What was it you were saying about Kayci?" Brelyna asked him, disgruntled that they were thrown out, but still wanting to know if Resh had finally be informed.

Not seeing any harm in telling her Resh explained the whole problem. "She told me about what Elenwen did. So I'm going to kill her the first chance I get. Although I can't think of a way to do it without her guards getting to me afterwards."

"Well it shouldn't be that hard should it?" Brelyna told him, excited he was going to do this. "You've just got to draw her out of the Embassy, all we need is a good reason…"

2 Minutes Later

Walking back into the room Brelyna and Resh were greeted by the sight of Kayci and Lydia smiling down at the baby, it seemed they had finally decided upon a name and were now taking their time to fawn over the child.

"What did you call her?" Resh asked as he moved over as quietly as he could so as not to wake the baby.

The two women looked at him and once and Lydia replied by holding out the sleeping child. "Say hello to your new daughter Lissandra…"

"Really…? that's actually pretty nice…"

Resh's Letter

Dear Elenwen

I've decided it is probably best for me to move into my new city in Markarth as soon as possible, so you should arrange for the Jarl to move out within fortnight.

Because of all the help you and the Thalmor have given me I would be remiss if I didn't invite you personally to meet me when in charge. No doubt my people will be very pleased about your hospitality, and will likely award you personally for your efforts in diplomacy.

What would be even better is if you went this location, see the map inside, and talk to this 'Septimus Signus' for me. And then perhaps a cohort of your agents could collect the Elder Scroll he will tell you about. It is vital for my quest against the Dragons so that should be a top priority.

Once all that Elder Scroll business is sorted out you should meet me down at the castle. Perhaps we could go for 'round 2'.

- Resh_

Resh POV

Were he not in the company of others he would have roared after writing the last bit, it pained him to remember that he had willing touched that evil woman, even if he didn't know what she was like at the time. Instead he just snapped the quill in half at the end, accidently drawing a long black line after 'Resh'.

On the plus side he now had a fairly easy way to kill her, not only that but now he didn't need to go searching for the Elder Scroll either, it would save so much time. The bitch would definitely have at least six agents with her, but he had planned for that. If he became a 'Jarl' then he would have his own personal guard by his side, who would no doubt help him cut down the Thalmor operatives.

Despite his noble cause Resh wasn't sure how comfortable he felt with the plan, he had lied, fair enough it was to and evil evil woman, but on principle he didn't like it. He stared at the letter for a few more seconds, and then remembered Kayci's actions earlier and how distraught she was.

Having to keep himself from screaming in rage, he shoved the letter into Brelyna's chest and spitting out. "Make sure you find a way to get this to a courier, tell him that it's by Scaraviak Resh, a 'high up' in the Thalmor, and that anyone who thinks about reading it, or stopping its progress will regret it."

Not wanting to have his anger directed at her Brelyna nodded and didn't say anything to draw attention, thankful he was going to do something about this at long last, and also that he seemed to have forgotten his hatred towards the Dunmer.

"Kayci," he said, turning towards her. "You're coming with me, if anyone is going to kill her it's going to be you."

Mavens Mercenary POV

"Stop right there courier!" the thug called out when the letter holder ran past, stopping him with a well placed arrow. It didn't hit him, but I came fairly close, striking the tree next to him and bringing the man to a halt.

"Now, I don't want to hurt you, but Maven is paying me to make sure no letters from the College get through. So if you just hand over your little post bag you can leave while you still have your head on your shoulders," he grinned as he wrenched the bag out of the couriers hands, pocketing any money within and taking out the letter than was titled 'To Elenwen; from Resh'.

He was pretty sure that 'Resh' was one of the people mentioned to him by Maven, so he handed back the rest of the letters, he wasn't a complete scumbag afterall. He was about to let the courier run off and carry on with his job, but a deep voice resonated from behind him.

"I think you're going to want to give that letter back mercenary," it told him sternly, the mercenary would've laughed and told him to fuck off, but he knew better than that, so turned to see what looked like a lone Thalmor agent, beside a magnificent white stallion, staring back at him.

He could probably take him in a fair fight, but the Thalmor rarely fought fairly. Besides, he didn't seem hostile, so there was no reason to kill him and get in all sorts of trouble. "Why should I?"

The robed man just smirked. "Do you know who is paying Maven to stop letters from 'Resh, Kayci, and Brelyna'?"

"Yes, it's that Elenwen woman, the same one this letter is to. Even so, why should it matter to you?" he asked, unsure what he should do in this situation.

"Well, that woman is a Thalmor Ambassador, and is also under my employ. So I suggest handing over that letter and letting me read it," he explained to the mercenary, taking a few steps close so he could be better seen.

It was clear now this was no ordinary Thalmor, the robes were far more decorative than that of most of the Elven operatives, and the equipment seemed far more powerful. The glowing sword on his waist was not something he wanted to mess with.

"Do I get anything out of this?" he asked, it was obvious he didn't really have a choice in the matter, but he decided he might as well try to get some money out of it.

"I don't really want to fall into the habit of saying something as cliche as 'your life', but it would be very easy for me to just arrest you. So just give the letter to me," the Thalmor snapped, snatching the letter from the mercenaries hand, ripping it open and scanning it.

No sooner had he began reading it he was done, so resealed it and handed it to the courier. "Run along, Elenwen should be getting this message as soon as possible."

"Are you going to at least me something for this?" the mercenary asked as the other two started to leave, and he was left standing in the snow.

"Consider yourself lucky I prefer not to kill people," the Altmer called to the other man, as he climbed back onto his horse. "Although for your help I suggest you get another job. This one won't be around for much longer.

It was hard thinking of a baby's name. Thank you 'Raizgriz98' for the suggestion.
