Hunter had a blast drawing monkeys for Mikey and then watching as he coloured them in, he was having so much fun that he didn't even notice how long Stephanie had been gone.

Desperate to sort the problem out as quick as possible Stephanie realised she was probably a little short with people but she needed to get back to Mikey because she didn't entirely trust Hunter with him. As soon as it was confirmed that the problem was solved she quickly made her way back to her office pushing the door open to see Mikey and Hunter laying on the floor together, "having fun Mikey?"

Jumping up from his seat on the floor Mikey raced over to Stephanie with his papers, "Mommy look. Hunner draws monkeys."

Taking the papers from Mikey she looked at them and smiled softly seeing the monkeys and the way Mikey had coloured them in, "they're really nice Mikey, you did a good job." Turning her attention to Hunter she forced a smile, "thank you for watching him and I'm sorry if this pulled you away from a work out or something."

Shrugging his shoulders Hunter stood up from the floor, "he was no trouble and it was my pleasure. I was just really helping Trish work out in the ring so you didn't pull me away from anything important."

Smiling softly Stephanie dropped her cell phone onto her desk, "well thank you anyway. Say thank you to Hunter Mikey."

Mikey turned to Hunter and smiled, "fank 'oo."

Chuckling Hunter ruffled Mikey's hair with his hand, "you're very welcome. Be a good boy for your Mom and I will catch you later." Turning his attention to Stephanie he smiled softly, "well I had better be going. If you're ever in a tight spot again and need somebody to watch Mikey I'd be happy to do it."

Nodding her head in acknowledgement she didn't know what to say as he would probably be the last person she called on if she was in trouble, "thank you for the offer, I will bear it in mind."

Hunter awkwardly waved before he walked off leaving Stephanie and Mikey alone again.

As soon as he was safely out of Stephanie's sight Hunter's hand went to his back pocket gently touching the paper there, maybe it would hold the answers to all of his questions but there was only one way to find out. Walking through the halls of the arena Hunter made his way out to the stands finding a quiet corner, he needed to talk to his conscience right now before he made a really bad decision.

Sitting in the stands Hunter looked around unsure of whether he should actually do it or not but as he played with the phone in his hands he knew he had no other option, if he wanted answers then he'd have to get them any way he could. Flipping open his phone he scrolled through his address book until he got to his sister, she was the only person he could trust that already knew everything.

Leaning his elbows on his thighs as he held the phone to his ear he was about to hang up when she picked up, "Lynn it's me."

Chuckling at the tone of her brother's voice Lynn was amused by it, "hello you. What can I do for you?"

Deciding there was no easy way to say it he just blurted it out, "I found a letter addressed to me in Stephanie's belongings."

Her eyebrow raised and she was really confused, "why were you even in her belongings? When I said find answers I did not mean do it by snooping through her luggage."

"I wasn't! Steph was in a tight spot and she asked Trish to watch Mikey but she couldn't so Trish asked me to do it so whilst I was watching Mikey he wanted to draw so I went into Steph's laptop bag to get a pen and I pulled out this piece of paper but it was folded. I didn't intend to open it but my thumb caught in the fold and I saw my name on the paper."

That was an unintended twist to the whole saga, "okay. So did you read what was on this paper? I mean it could have been something as simple as listing the many reasons you're an asshole."

Laughing despite himself Hunter rolled his eyes, "that's not funny. I actually didn't read the paper . . . I kind of put it in my pocket though so you know I could read it if you think it's a good idea."

"Is it a good idea though? You shouldn't have been snooping in her luggage even if it was accidental so maybe you should just put it back before she realises that it is gone."

That wasn't the reaction that Hunter had been expecting from his sister and his face fell, "maybe you're right, maybe it would be better to just try and find out the information from a more conventional route.

There was a pause before Lynn said, "there's no saying that the paper will hold any answers though so maybe it isn't actually a completely terrible idea to just read it and see what it says."

Pulling the paper from his back pocket Hunter played with it in his hands, "so are you saying I should unfold this piece of paper and read it?"

Biting down on her lip she was anxious about the words that were about to come out of her mouth, "yes I am."

Taking a deep breath Hunter started to unfold the letter before he it was completely open and he started to read:

Dear Hunter,

Yesterday you met your son for the very first time. After you scared him half to death you proceeded to call him a brat for no real reason.

I was really angry with you not just for the way you spoke to me but for calling your son a brat. I know you didn't know he was your son but I expected a lot better from you even if you hate my guts he never did anything to you to warrant that sort of hatred.

This morning you came to my hotel room and said you wanted to talk, I don't know how you got my hotel room number and quite frankly I don't even care how you go it but I do care about your random appearance. No matter what you have to say nothing will make up for not believing me when I told you I wasn't lying four years ago and now you only have yourself to blame that you don't have your son in your life.

Jericho told me that he told you that I hadn't cheated on you and that is why today you have been acting really funny and actually being nice to Mikey. I don't know what game you are playing but I will not allow you to fuck around with my son's emotions because he doesn't deserve it.

Stephanie

Reading and re-reading the letter Hunter couldn't believe the words that were in front of him, all of the questions had been answered and there was nothing left to wonder about.

Receiving nothing but silence from her brother Lynn decided to push him, "okay so what does it say? Is it a list of the many reasons why you are an asshole and she hates you?"

Staring at the paper in his hands he barely heard a word she said to him as he tried to process it all.

Prodding her brother further as she didn't get a response she was thinking about just hanging up on him but decided to give him one last shot, "Hunter?"

Gulping Hunter rubbed his hand on his pants leg, "Mikey is my son."
