After the drama of the morning Stephanie was looking forward to spending some quality time with Mikey for an hour so she was going to take him outside and let him run around for a bit before she took him down to the ring to play around for a while to make up for it.

Opening the back door of the arena she frowned when she saw Hunter and Trish sat down together looking deep in conversation. She didn't know what they were doing together or what the two of them were plotting but she didn't like it at all. Before she had chance to direct Mikey somewhere to keep his attention off of Trish and Hunter he was screaming in excitement and running across the parking lot towards them. In a stupid attempt to stop him before he got in trouble she called out to her son, "Mikey!"

Not wanting to stop and get himself in trouble with his Mom he thought that if he just kept going and reached Trish and Hunter then they would protect him and make sure she wasn't mad at him. He kept on running until he reached Trish and Hunter only stopping when he was between the two of them and he threw one arm around each of their necks, "yay."

Hunter and Trish exchanged looks as they both wrapped an arm around the little boy and laughed at his enthusiasm.

Once he had had enough of his hug Mikey pulled back before he turned around and sat himself down between them, "Mommy says I cans play."

Stephanie shook her head at the way her son forced himself between Trish and Hunter and how he was likely interrupting, "Mikey, you are interrupting Hunter and Trish's time together, you shouldn't invite yourself into things that don't involve you."

Mikey frowned and went to get up from his seat on the curb but both Hunter and Trish grabbed an arm each, "stay."

Hunter looked at Trish and laughed, "great minds think alike."

Trish smirked at him, "you just want to avoid the conversation we were having."

He shrugged, "we were nearly done anyway weren't we?"

She nodded her head, "we sure were. The answer to your question though is yes I will."

Reaching over Mikey's head he ruffled Trish's hair playfully, "thank you, you're the greatest."

Rolling her eyes she pushed her hand away as Mikey laughed and she tried to make her hair tidy again.

Stephanie frowned as she looked at the two of them together, they were so friendly and so close and she most certainly was a little uncomfortable. Before she knew what was coming out of her mouth she looked at Trish and said, "you know that thing we discussed last week? Did you lie to me?"

Knowing exactly what she was talking about Trish's eyes widened and she shook her head. Standing up she grabbed Stephanie's arm and pulled her away from the boys, "are you out of your mind? Trust me, what I said then still stands today, he is all yours."

"I don't want him!"

Smirking at her Trish playfully skipped around her, "you keep telling yourself that because I don't believe you."

Putting her hands on her hips she tilted her head to the side, "you've officially lost your ever loving mind. Don't get me wrong as a friend I love you to death but on this you couldn't be more wrong if you actually tried to be."

Stopping the skipping Trish stood in front of her friend and stared directly into her eyes, "say that again once more with feeling whilst looking into my eyes and then I may believe you."

Putting her hands on her hips she looked at her friend sternly, "are you serious?"

Shrugging her shoulders she didn't see the problem, "sure. If it is true then it shouldn't be hard for you to do but then if it isn't true then you may struggle."

When Trish and Stephanie walked away Hunter turned to Mikey, "are you having a good day?"

The little boy nodded his head, "yup. Mommy says I can plays in da ring after."

Smiling softly he slipped his arm around the little boy's shoulder, "well you know if your Mom needs any help watching you when you're down in the ring I'd be happy to do so."

Leaning against Hunter Mikey smiled happily, "fank oo."

Unable to stop himself he pressed a kiss to the top of the little boy's head, "you're most welcome. What did you and your Mom come out here for?"

"Mommy said I could pay."

Chuckling and deciding to have a little fun he picked Mikey up carefully and dangled him in the air laughing as Mikey laughed and kicked his legs.

Hearing Mikey's laugh Stephanie immediately turned to look at them forgetting all about Trish and panicking when she saw her son dangling in the air, "Hunter! Put him down."

Gulping at the tone of voice he immediately lowered Mikey to the ground slowly making sure he was safe before he let go, "I'm sorry, I was just having fun."

Spinning around Mikey smiled at his Mom, "fun Mommy, fun."

She raised her eyebrow at his reaction, "you want to have fun?"

"No Mommy, I was having fun wiv Hunner."

Feeling a little hurt her face fell, "oh. Why don't you stay here with Hunter and Trish then, if they are able to watch you, and I will go and do some work and then we can meet up later?"

Hunter may not be the smartest of people but he did know one thing when it came to Stephanie and that was when she was hurting and that was right now as he could still read her face. Taking a deep breath he pulled Mikey a little closer to him and whispered in his ear, "go and tell your Mom that you want her to stay and play with you."

Looking at Hunter strangely he didn't really understand but he didn't want his Mom to go anyway so he did exactly what he was told and ran over to his Mom wrapping his arms around her legs hugging her tightly, "Mommy say."

Looking down at her son and back up at Hunter she was confused by what was going on, "you promise you want me to stay baby?"

Mikey nodded his head eagerly, "yeah Mommy, we has lotsa fun togever."

Looking at her ex-husband sceptically she shrugged her shoulders not wanting to leave her son anyway, "well seeing as you asked so nicely I will happily stay and play with you. What would you like to do?"

Smiling brightly Mikey, "tag!"

Tagging his Mom quickly he laughed softly as he ran away from her.
