Finishing his workout Hunter went to the store to pick up some food before he took it home putting it away in the cupboards before he made his way upstairs and fished his suit out of the back of his closet. Sniffing at the suit he wrinkled his nose when it smelt a little damp, "dry cleaners it is."

Walking back down the stairs he grabbed his car keys again before he made his way out of the house to find the nearest dry cleaners in the hope of getting his suit cleaned by Friday.

Arriving home after dropping his suit off he gulped when he saw his sister sitting on his porch, he had completely forgotten that she was going to be dropping by this afternoon and he knew she was going to be pissed. Getting out of the car he walked to the front door, "I'm so sorry, I forgot that you were coming over."

Rolling her eyes she shook her head, "charming. Here I am putting myself out to help you try to get your ex-wife back and you are completely forgetting about me. Where were you?"

Slipping his key into the lock on the door he looked back at her quickly before he looked back at the door, "I was dropping my suit off to be cleaned as I have a date on Fri . . ."

Before he could finish his sentence Lynn smacked him upside the head, "are you out of your mind? How do you expect to get Stephanie back if you go out on a date with other women?"

Opening the door he turned around to face her walking through it backwards, "if you had let me finish you would have heard me say that I have a date on Friday with Stephanie."

She was shocked hearing her brother say that, "so how did you blackmail her into that?"

Rolling his eyes he shook his head, "I didn't blackmail into her anything, hell I didn't even ask her out. I was at the gym at lunchtime and she rang me and asked if I was dating someone and when I said no she asked what I would do if she offered herself to date me and I pretty much dropped the phone in shock."

"So where are you taking her on Friday?"

Shrugging his shoulders he didn't know, "well I'm kind of letting her pick where we go. I thought seeing as she was putting herself out there and making the effort I would let her pick somewhere so she was comfortable as I'm not entirely sure how far this whole date thing is going."

Incredibly proud and impressed by her brother she nodded her head, "that is actually good thinking on your part, I'm surprised but so proud of you. You're at least picking her up right?"

He nodded his head, "I most certainly am. I need some advice though, would taking her flowers be too much? Also, I don't know how to behave, like do I attempt to put my arm around her at all when I accompany her to and from the car or what?"

Slightly amused by how serious he was taking it she shut the front door behind her, "why don't you go and make us some coffee and allow me a moment to think about it and I will give you my opinion."

"You know where the lounge is."

Walking towards the kitchen he allowed Lynn to find her way to the lounge and relax whilst he made two coffees.

Sitting down on the couch she thought hard about what the best course of action for him would be. Once he joined her with the coffees and sat down she felt like she had some answers for her, "I don't feel that taking her flowers would be too much but make sure it's more a general bunch of flowers and nothing with too deep a meaning. As for the affection level I would say allow her to dictate what she is comfortable with. Walk close to her but not too close and that way if she wants to hold your hand she can or if she wants to put her arm around your waist she can and you know if she does that then you can put your arm around her shoulder."

Sighing softly Hunter felt like he was in a no win situation, "so basically I should kind of walk with my hands deep in my pockets to avoid pushing her?"

Laughing she shook her head, "you don't have to go that far, just be aware of not pushing her too far."

"I will be but it doesn't mean that I will actually enjoy the date because I'll be too afraid of upsetting her."

Rolling her eyes she threw a cushion at him, "stop dramatising it, you will enjoy it so shut up."

Catching the cushion he pouted, "you're so mean to me. So what can I do for you today?"

Whilst Hunter was at home enjoying some quality time with his sister Stephanie was booking a restaurant for Friday night before she went back to work and would send him a text later.

After a full afternoon of campaigning Linda picked up a take out on her way home as she wasn't in the mood to cook tonight. Walking through the front door she swung it shut behind her before she dropped her handbag at the bottom of the stairs and went into the kitchen to dish up.

As soon as the dinner was on plates she carried the plates into the lounge, "good evening Vince."

Lifting his head to look at his wife he raised his eyebrow, he could definitely sense that she was in a good mood, "good evening. So what has you in such a good mood tonight? How did things go with Stephanie?"

Setting the plate down in front of him she took a seat, "my day was productive and as for my lunch with Stephanie, that was interesting."

Picking up his plate he began to eat, "what exactly do you class as 'interesting'? It is only good isn't it?"

Nodding her head Linda couldn't help but smile, "it is actually really good news. Stephanie has realised that she still loves Hunter but also she has made the big step of inviting him on a date so I said we'd watch Mikey Friday night and he would have a sleepover here."

Raising his eyebrow at his wife he thought his medication was playing tricks with his hearing, "I don't think I heard you correctly so can you please repeat it?"

"I'm not sure what you didn't hear correctly but I said that Stephanie still loves Hunter and she is going on a date with him on Friday night so Mikey is staying with us."

That was exactly what he thought she had said, "I have no idea what to say right now, I feel like I am living in some weird twilight zone and any second now I'll wake up and it will all be a dream."

Laughing she shook her head, "it's not a dream, it is all real. Please tell me you are at least happy with the development."

Not entirely sure how he was feeling as it came completely out of left field, "I want her to be happy and I do believe he has changed but there is a still a small lingering doubt in the back of my mind that it is all going to go so badly wrong and both Stephanie and Mikey are going to be hurt."

Moving closer to her husband she sat next to him on the couch placing her hand on his arm, "I promise you that I will be keeping a very close eye on Stephanie during this initial period of time where she is dating Hunter. I do believe she has no intention of telling Hunter right now that Mikey is his son and she is taking it date by date."

Turning to look at his wife he just knew that she was speaking the truth, "so I'm guessing Mikey is going to know nothing about what Stephanie is doing?"

Smiling at her husband she nodded her head, "absolutely, that's why Mikey is staying overnight here, if you have no complaints."

Shaking his head he had none at all, "I have no complaints at all, it will be nice to spend some time with him. If she's going to date Hunter does that mean she's not going to run the shows? I mean she won't want to be seen to possibly show any favouritism right?"

That was one question Linda hadn't asked but one she didn't think she needed to either, "I think she is so afraid of being hurt that she won't tell a soul that she is seeing him so I don't think we need to worry about that so please just relax."

Satisfied that everything was working out for the best he nodded his head, "I promise I will relax and allow my body to heal before I start slowly going back to work once the Doctor gives his okay."

Leaning across she kissed his cheek, "thank you, that is all I ask."

Putting up his one hand there was one thing he had left to ask, "well I have one thing left to ask. you will keep me fully updated on this stuff won't you?"

Laughing she nodded her head, she knew her husband and she knew he wouldn't relax unless he knew exactly what was going on, "I promise, full details."

Picking his fork up again he smiled softly, "thank you."

Turning his attention to his dinner he focussed on eating it whilst he wondered if Hunter really had meant what he said to him.
